    Enjoyed a date night with my husband. French Onion Soup, Brussels and cheeseburger with truffle fries were all phenomenal! Our server was attentive, made sure drinks were topped off and very friendly. We love The Katharine and can’t wait to go back again soon!

    Very good food. Only complaint was with the spinach and potatoes that came with the duck. They were plain and spinach seemed to be from a frozen bag.

    The young woman that waited on us, Abby, was simply a delight. She was gregarious but not obsequious, knowledgeable but not condescending, knowledgeable about the menu but not pushing an agenda. We weren’t rushed and Abby made sure our drinks etc were always perfect! She was bright, funny and made us feel like we’d know (and liked) her forever. Add in the wonderful food (thank you Chef) and we will be back!!

    We had our anniversary dinner last Saturday here. The pistachio crusted trout and the duck were both impeccable dishes. The staff was very friendly and the service was great! We will definitely return!

    Simply put, this place was a disappointment. Waited 15 min before we were greeted by our waiter. Food was subpar. While the tartare was good, my filet frites was overlooked and bland and my partners Caesar salad was missing the Caesar dressing.

    It's always a treat to dine here. The complementary valet parking removes any parking difficulties and is much appreciated. Our wait person was on the job for the first time but he he was attentive and eager to please. It's splendid to see the former RJR building put to such great use with a nice hotel and a lovely place to dine.

    Our meals were each outstanding, truly superb. Our waitress, Izzy, was fantastic--one of the best waitresses we've ever had in decades of eating out around the world. Overall, a truly wonderful experience.

    The service was fantastic, the food was perfectly made and the cocktails were really right on point. I had the Spicy Canary cocktail and my wife had the Living in Lavender and they were top notch all the way. Fine dining with a gluten allergy can be challenging and Katharine’s rose to the occasion. It was a lovely dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary - Thanks Katharine Brasserie & Bar!

    The food was good and although it was very busy, our waiter checked in on us and gave us status updates. It’s a fun atmosphere. The pot de crème was amazing!

    Four adults and one vegetarian young teen all were happy with their dinners. I had the jambon and melon appetizer which was outstanding as was the duck l'orange entree, though the garlic in the spinach side tasted just a tad burnt. The Creme Brulee was good but I have tasted better, though I thoroughly enjoyed it. I sampled the chocolate mousse type dessert one of our party had, and it was very good. Cocktails were well made and of adequate size. Our server, Brent, was there when he needed to be and was not hovering or m.i.a.. We enjoyed the experience. Katherine's is a nice place for a nice meal.

    We've had the last two of our Anniversary dinners here and plan on coming back next year. Chicken and duck are the best entrees on the menu.

    Menu in French but food not prepared as it is in France. Our server was too busy with a bunch of tables so all was slow. The restaurant is very noisy, conversation had to be in loud voice creating additional noise. Prices way too high for the food quality and quantity.

    It’s become too overpriced. $15-$16 cocktails, entrees from $36, and the food is inconsistent. For a less than excellent experience I would never pay these prices in Winston.It seems poorly managed, too.

    We went to brunch after marching in the "We won't go back" event. My friend had the chicken and waffles plus coffee. I had a Belgium waffle, two scrambled eggs and unsweetened tea. She said the coffee was very good and so was the chicken and waffles, only she would have liked more seasoning on the chicken. My eggs were nice and fluffy, not over cooked. The waffle and toppings were excellent with real maple syrup. We always have a nice time at Katherine's and highly recommend it.

    Sadly, our experience at Katherines for brunch was terrible. We love Katherines for dinner, so I chose this restaurant for brunch to take our family who came from TX. We did not have a server. The assistant manager "waited" on us and her behavior was unacceptable. I won't go into it here, but we ended up speaking with the manager and asked that the assistant manager not come back to our table. The manager was very helpful and kind and took care of our entire meal. For the food, the Eggs Benedict were the worst I have ever had. I sent the dish back 2 times because the eggs had a solid yolk. The third plate was not better. Also, the eggs were very tiny and there was just a smidge of Hollandaise sauce on them. And the whole thing sat on a bed of arugula, which I think should be put on the side. The chicken on the chicken and waffles did not look good either. Also, we were looking forward to cocktails for brunch, but was told there was not a bar tender. We were told that we could only get mimosas and draft beer. For brunch, in my opinion, this is unacceptable. We were looking forward to Bloody Mary's and French 75's.

    The food was great, but given the prices, the not so good service drive the overall value down. Waitress was hectic and didn’t check back. Not the best service.

    Everything we has was wonderful. Escargots, Beef tartar, french onion soup, duck, trout, pot-de-creme and the creme brulle. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Big bonus is the free valet parking with dining.

    Food and cocktails were delicious! Our waiter, Ryan, who is new there was outstanding! Perfect timing coming to the table throughout our meal and very personable! The only thing that I would change is the barrel seat chairs that we were sitting in.....the backs lean back so far, it looks like you're in a recliner, which is a very awkward look in a fine dining restaurant! LOL! GREAT job with absolutely everything else!!!
