   It was just a great experience overall. The food is better there then some places much more expensive around town. The service was impeccable, lovely server we had. Just overall really great.

   We went with our two kids and it was amazing. Very nice restaurant atmosphere with an upscale pub feel. The food was amazing - we almost went to another place because it was a little more kid friendly, but I went with this place because I just got a great feeling. It was just perfect. A meat eater, two vegans and two kids and it was everything we could have hoped to find. The wine was also delicious.

   Kirby's is a lovely restaurant in the middle of Galway city centre. The food is always very good with beautiful fish dishes. Unfortunately the service is hit and miss with some of the staff being excellent and some staff being incredible inefficient.

    Food was good but service very underwhelming. received starter and main course before any drink was served which is over a 40 minute wait. Whereabouts of drinks were enquired about however they still did not arrive until after main course was delivered. Sides that were ordered also did not arrive to the table until meal was nearly finished. Disappointing service otherwise over shadowed good food.

    We reserved our table through OpenTable but Kirby's did not have our reservation so we had to eat in the bar, which was a nice change of pace. The steak and lobster was excellent, as usual, and the service was very good. Next time we will bring a copy of our reservation from OpenTable.

    Lovely food and service ... decorations for Christmas very festive! we were heading to a concert in nearby St Nicholas Church so it was a wonderful start to the evening and a great location. A wonderful beginning to our Christmas celebrations. Just one point which was really beyond the staff, the fire alarm was activated by an event in a nearby premises, & the doors were open - so at the beginning of our visit the staff were distracted by this noise & the restaurant was very cold due to the doors being open. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable evening. Well done!!

    I wasn’t enamoured with the food or atmosphere. I won’t be returning. The staff made an error with the order and were instantly apologetic and very professional even though they were very young so I was impressed by that.

    I would give them a minus 10 if possible. Worst service & management. We were served over cooked salmon. Waitress said she would go talk to “someone”. Never asked if we wanted anything else. The refused to take off the bill. The manager came over to argue with us that he needed to pay the staff & company policy is that they will do nothing except argue with the customer. If they need the money so bad they can have it. We will NEVER go back & if you go you are foolish. Too many other good choices in town. It’s not the chance of a bad meal, it’s the attitude of too bad “we got you”!

    Hi we booked a table in kirbys on Saturday night but were so disappointed with the menu even my partner had no choice on the starters , we didn't eat there we had a drink and left. If your not a fish or red meat eater this is not the place to go. The waitress was very helpful but the menu was so limited of choice there was nothing she could do either. I also presumed that the name high top table meant we would be seating up stairs (like up high in the restaurant ) unfortunately it was two stools with a high table maybe this should be stated a little clearer on your booking site as if an older couple booked this they definitely wouldn't be able to sit on these really high stools.

    Really nice place to grab a tasty meal. We had the lamb and it was tender, delicious and a generous portion. Nice wine list and friendly service. Next / through a connecting door after meals ended - they had live music playing which added to the atmosphere too!

    Very slow service. Understaffed. Baked Brie appetizer special and dinner salads were good.My husbands burger was awful. He hardly ate it. It was cold by the time he got ketchup for it. Lamb special was fair. Nice presentation. Would have drank more if we could have gotten an order in. The reviews were good…so we had high expectations. Very disappointed.

We are a restaurant & our dining menu which is available to view at kirbys.ie/a-la-cart-menu caters for a very wide range of allergens. Your request to accommodate an allergen was not in relation to food but in a cocktail. The cocktail in question could not be prepared without that key ingredient.     Very enjoyable late lunch for 2, table size more than adequate which is not often the case in Galway and lighting and decor very pleasing. We both had the fish cake salad and 2 Merlots'! Food fine although lacking a little in flavours however extra dressing was brought the moment i requested it. All in all we would be happy to return there and order a different dish out of interest!     Loved the duck roll starter and fish cake starter. Fish and chips were a little bland and dry. There wasn’t a big choice of vegetarian options. Had to wait a long time for our desserts The brownie was good but the rhubarb crumble was disappointing. The custard was cold and the rhubarb was uncooked and just warm inside. Service was good

    The Latin Quarter has an exceptional atmosphere. The staff in Kirby's were very friendly although service was slow. The booking system is efficient and ensures that you secure a table at a day and time of your choosing
