    Service was good, and it was great seeing Reynold himself working there too! However, I was a bit disappointed by the food. - The oysters were fresh and the dressing was awesome! - The kingfish and the dressing had a good balance of sweetness, savoury and tartness. However, the fish shouldn't be eaten together with the citrus, as the citrus overpowered the freshness of the fish. - The beef tartare was a bit bland and was easily overpowered by the seaweed that it was served with. - Very disappointed by the wagyu - the meat was imbued with a delicious flavour from the charcoal grill but sadly the meat was very tough (which was a surprise, given that wagyu is known for being tender). - The crab noodles were okay - the noodles were cooked perfectly and the overall dish had a luscious texture. While it was an umami-bomb (which is usually a good thing) it unfortunately ended up tasting like instant noodles due to a lack of flavour balance. - The calamari - again, was an umami bomb and I liked the touch of lemongrass in there. However, it could've done with a bit more acidity to make the dish less heavy on the palate (from the belacan-esque base). - The jasmine creme brulee was out of this world - the flavour and texture were amazing! - And finally - the cocktails were all really good! Each one felt like a well-crafted dessert that had really great, interesting flavours - never too sweet and all were good until the very last drop.

    Have been to the experimental for few times. Last visiting is the worst one. The table behind us with about 6peoples keep making very high volum of laugh and talk. I can’t even hear what the waitress and chefs say. Even hard for me to talk to my friend. Feel really annoyed. We had 2 hours dinner and they made 2 hours noise. And the waiter said nothing. At the time I left. I saw the Reynold was in that table too. Finally I found the reason why no one say anything. Feel so disappointed about that. Will not come again.

    Came here for my birthday, which was a nice experience. But definitely over rated for what it was. Unfortunately, even though the menu says “share” the portions are teeny tiny. Tried to get a gauge from the wait staff, however they seemed inexperienced and didn’t know what some of the items were. Overall nice, but not worth it. There are better restaurants in Sydney for cheaper.

    I had a reservation and travelled an hour to dine for lunch and they had made the decision to not open for lunch service, yet my booking was not cancelled. I was not notified that my booking no longer existed.

    Great experience. Amazingly creative and delicious food. Dazzling presentation on stunning crockery. Such incredible attention to detail. The only dish I would fault was the “paspaley” - the pearl meat was unfortunately overwhelmed by the crème fraiche and couldn’t be tasted, and the walnut didn’t quite work for me. Ironically though this was the most beautifully and spectacularly presented dishes. Everything else couldn’t be faulted and was stunning. Only other suggestion is clearer explanation of each course. Some accents were hard to understand, particularly over the background noise.

    The four of us went for the KOI Experential and we were very happy that we went there. A 12 course meal filled with lots of pleasure for your tastebuds. Staff is amazing and go above and beyond!

    The overall experience was nice. Staff was friendly. We liked all the seafood dishes and the first dessert (Floral). The second dessert was too rich and left a bitter after taste, I think is the Madeira. Would be better if the menu reduced to 8 or 9 course and add a protein course to the menu. That would be nice.

    Reached new heights in food artistry, taste, presentation. Had a great experience watching the ladies serve plate up to the diners. I had Koi Experiential and loved it so much that I went back with another friend for the ala carte menu.

    It was a really good experience overall food was visually and taste wise amazing however the service could have been better it felt like there were all trainees bar one which is not necessarily a bad thing however not the best experience when paying comparable prices to some of the top rated places in Sydney & Melbourne

    Visited on a Sunday for the 5:30pm service sitting up at the bar as a party of five people. Another seven people were setted adjacent us the horseshoe shaped table where we could all watch the final plating up and decoration of the 12 wonderful dishes as they were served in sequence anticlockwise around the room. At this time the restaurant was otherwise empty and the a la carte tables I imagine would fill up later each evening but not tonight, so it was a very quiet ambience. The food was amazing, mostly because of the flavours, attention detail in terms of the remarkable presentation, interest level, innovation and unusual conbination of ingredients offered. Each stage of the meal was an exciting invitation that no one in my group could exist. The phase for our meal was summer which included some cold dishes and icy deserts. Not a single dish that our table didn't devour. The first section of the meal consisted of lighter palate, seafood and some creamy elements which suited our choice of Chardonnay and the second portion included lighter red meat elements that paired well with a light french pinot. The meal was very satisfying and because it was prepaid, those that didn't have any extra coctails or wine simply got up and left (which was a little unusual to see...). Finally the bill for the wine included a "Sunday Surcharge" of 10% adding approx $48 to our wine bill and then I included a tip for the great attentive service that we received on the night. It seemed odd to me that a sunday surcharge was added on the wine element given we had prepaid the meal already and came as a bit of a surprise. All other "surprises" on the night were otherwise positive which is why I look forward to return each season (subject to getting a book) - just not on a Sunday!

    A spectacular experience by KOI. What an incredible creation - truly - worth every penny. My only feedback would be that for the last two courses. We were so full by that stage. I would consider creating lighter dishes to finish instead of the coconut and dense caramel/chocolate flavors selected for the final desserts. To be clear - both of these dishes were delicious. However, by the end, being so full, it's easier to enjoy something a little lighter, yet full of delectable flavor. My favorite parts of the menu were the savories. Just incredible and divine cooking - thank you!

    Of the 4 small dished we tried they were all amazing without any fault. I think the drinks can be improved upon did not have the same wow as the food. Service was not as attentive as I would have liked but thats being picky.
