What a lovely restaurant. Me and my partner ate here our last day before leaving Dublin and it was like leaving the best until last. The food was incredible and the service we received was great as well. I would definitely recommend La Caverna to anyone who is going to Dublin.

Delicious food. The only thing I didn't like was that the receptionist referred to us as 'friends', it's supposed to be a restaurant with a certain category, these are not terms of address for a customer.

Cesar salad was bland, main dishes lasagna and seafood fettuccine were tasty. Side salad served with lasagna was wilted and overdressed. Overall ok but not as special as expected. The inside is cozy with a stone wall. Service was ok. Attentive but not very friendly or welcoming.

I'm honestly gobsmacked on why this restaurant was busy. The chicken was chewy which means it was frozen and then just heated up each time someone ordered, the potato was dry, and it wasnt served with enough gorganzola so you couldnt even pretend it tasted nice. This wasnt even my dish it was my partners. My dish I chose the tortellini (labelled fresh on the menu) in creamy white wine sauce. Basically I could of bought the tortellini in Lidl. I ordered the Savignon house white bottle of wine which is 33 euro but retails for 11 euro. Stunning. I actually found the whole experience laughable which is unusual in an Italian seen as youd like it to be somewhat romantic. I could of stayed home and made better italian food with a petrol station bottle of wine. But I thought since I had the night off (night shift worker), id jump out of bed and head down. I was greeted by 3 staff members who looked me and my partner up and down because we were dressed for the weather? Not sure but it was rude because it looked like I was staring at a mixture of the adams family or Draculas castle looking back at me. I was actually terrified to tip the young romanian girl who served us as she was the friendliest person in the building, but shes wasted in such a poor restaurant. I will not be back but id do anything to have my money back to spend in a proper Italian restaurant.

It seems these days customers hold immense power when it comes to online feedback. It's utterly bewildering that you've painted such a grim picture of your visit. Our staff diligently attended to you and your partner throughout your meal, yet you didn't utter a word of dissatisfaction. You left an almost empty plate, which contradicts your description of the food. Upon settling the bill, our Head Waiter once more inquired about your experience, and you and your partner confirmed that everything was to your satisfaction. We wish you better luck in your quest for dining perfection in the future.

The staff and restaurant were lovely, and we enjoyed ourselves. However one point to note is that for the prices we paid for the food, two of the four dishes we ordered were a bit flavourless and small. I was very happy with the fish though, and so overall I would give 4/5 stars for the service and the atmosphere.

Very overpriced for what they serve!! Minestrone soup without pasta, was more like vegetable soup with no seasoning! Lasagne with no white sauce, is literally mince and pasta on top of each other, mushy pasta and dry!

The food, service, and ambience was great! They were able to accommodate us last minute when I wanted to add a few more guests to our reservation. Extremely friendly service and we were all talking about how amazing the food was two days later. Will definitely be back the next time we're in Dublin.

We booked three weeks in advance, we were stuck at an end end table in a dark, smelly cellar. It was so dark we had to get the torches out on our phones to read the menu! Food was average at best and totally overpriced for what we got. Poor experience overall. I had to apologise to my guests for booking there. Embarrassing.

We went on Saturday with a group of 10 and the staff were so lovely and attentive, brought water regularly and the food was quick. The food was lovely, the wine was lovely. We really enjoyed our experience. They have a great choice on the early bird menu also and offer a vegan early bird so really do cater for all.

Lovely food and staff and great atmosphere in the cellar dining room downstairs. Was a bit cold at the start of our meal downstairs, so a later booking might have been better once the cellar had warmed up, but other than that 10/10

Dinner was excellent, we had, fillet steak x 2. Rack of lamb x2 all cooked to perfection & scallops & prawn. Two balieys cheesecake, one banoffee & one chocolate brownie. Everyone super happy with the food. The service was excellent, my only niggle, if I had to have one ,would be the noise level, but that can’t be helped, lots of people in a cellar is going to be noisy. Would certainly recommend 😊
