Excellent bistro/steakhouse in Fidi. Service was great, especially the sommelier, Anna. Found us a great bottle from the Samur that went perfectly with our ribeye.

Service was slow, the room wasn't filled and yet I had to wait approximately 30 minutes to get a coffee, and same for refills. I received my food before my first coffee...It's not a major issue, but service can improve, especially when you welcome guests. Aside from this, excellent food and great ambiance, will likely come back.

La Marchande is a lovely restaurant in downtown NYC, beautifully decorated; the food choices are eclectic and made deliciously and served up like works of art, my compliments to the chef. Although the portions are small, I did feel satisfied. The cocktails are delicious as well. I will be returning. Our waiter named Jackson, was newly hired, but you would not have known; he was trained so well.

We went to a late brunch on a Sunday. Most of the time, we were the only diners. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Just right. The space was beautiful, peaceful on a rainy Fall day on Wall Street. Food was thrilling — disproving the advice never to eat in a hotel restaurant.

La Marchande has a great vibe and ambiance, and we were really looking forward to our first dining experience here. We had an 8:00 PM reservation for two. Unfortunately, they had already run out of the ribeye by the time we ordered, which was disappointing, especially since it seems to be one of their popular dishes. The biggest concern, however, was the service timing. After we were seated, it took about 10 minutes before someone came over to offer us still or sparkling water. There was another wait before our order was taken. Thankfully, we decided to order everything at once, from appetizers and pasta to our mains, because it was roughly another 45 minutes before our food started arriving. There appeared to be only two or three servers covering the dining room during peak hours. Diana and Erika were both very pleasant and accommodating, and you could clearly see how hard they were working, constantly moving from table to table taking orders and attending to guests. Kudos to both of them for doing their best under the circumstances. The guests seated next to us seemed to experience similar delays and actually waited longer than we did, which suggests that the issue was less about the individual servers and more about staffing or the overall flow of service. Unfortunately, the long waits did not make for the best first impression as first-time guests. The ambiance is wonderful, and the staff we interacted with were lovely, so I hope the service and staffing can be improved to better match the overall dining experience. Sharing this feedback genuinely in the spirit of improvement, as La Marchande has a lot of potential to provide a much better experience.

A lovely spot in a very interesting and convenient location (for us). Will go there again, but the service, at first, was slow and since there were only a few customers wondered how long it would take to get served at busy times. The food was good and its presentation very good.
