Loved everything but atmosphere could be upgraded! Food and service amazing.
Little hidden away gem. Thought we would try it and we were not disappointed. Pasta was delicious and it was quiet enough to have a normal conversation . Will return.
Love the European atmosphere and the wait staff and the menu choices
everything tasted great
Loved this spot and support its transition to no tipping service. Our housemade pasta was delicious and our server was fantastic.
Pasta was a little tough :/ otherwise great though
The white truffle was disappointing. Not nearly as flavorful as it should be.
I love dining here. Tonight we shared veal meatballs, minestrone, the pear salad, and Strozzapreti Emiliana pasta. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend.
I had a great experience dining here for breakfast with my family . Our server was excellent. She was very attentive and hospitable. The food was OK. I would say it lacked flavor and there was not many options to choose from. Overall, I would recommend LA Strada to a friend. It’s a beautiful atmosphere and a they have friendly staff.
Really enjoyable, can’t wait for the next time!!!
Great food and service - Violeta was our server = she was excellent. Had a rocket salad and pizza - both delicious.
Great service and attention to details
Wine selection is excellent and the food delicious
Had an excellent brunch with our kids and another family with kids. The service was amazing while accommodating all of us. Cafe, frittatas and desserts were all excellent!
Great waiter wonderful wine and pasta close to the Townsend Hotel so no need for a car!,, lovely dinner!
The waiter who greeted us at the door was very snarky. Experience was very off putting. We waited over 15 minutes for the host to seat us. There was only one table occupied when we arrived for our reservation at 5 pm. The food was fine but pasta for $25 is a bit pricey especially when no salad was included. The olive oil was not the best quality and we nearly had to beg to get the parmesan which was served out of a shaker. At the price point, I think the restaurant could afford to have fresh parmesan served with the meal.
The service was horrendous. The restaurant just moved to a no tipping restaurant. As a result of the move, the service was awful. We asked to order our food and the waitress said she would get our server. When she told him we were ready to order, we overheard him say, “they can wait “. It took over 1.5 hours to get our pizza and the restaurant wasn’t even full.
The service was very slow and the waiters rude
Lovely ambience, food was delicious and service superb. We were fortunate to be moved to the back of the restaurant. The front was too loud and would have made it difficult to enjoy our company and meal.
Fantastic food and service! Started off with sausage and peppers and that was incredible.
Love the lounge area. Yummy food. Great service
Private note sent to the restaurant
Great server. Food was amazing!
It is amazing how this place stays under the radar...the food is outstanding, the ingredients often just aren't available elsewhere, service personable and ambiance is right out of Europe. One of the best in Michigan!
Always consistently reliable. Great food, excellent service.
We always enjoy La Strada. The Pasta Fajioli soup was very tasty. We tried the lemon chicken and this was good as well. I might recommend any of the pasta dishes. They have always been great and I love their Bolognese sauce. This is also a place to stop if you’d just like wine and small plates of cheese or artichokes. Stop by for pizza and a salad, or just dessert.
Very pleased with service and quality. FRESH!! We had Dominic as our waiter, he was very accommodating. We will be back!!
Amazing food & vibes!
Food is always good. Service is always bad. Usually a bad attitude.
We had a wonderful evening with old friends at La Strada. The food is outstanding the the desserts are even better! It is a wonderful spot for a couples dinner - smaller parties would likely be better. Highly recommend.
Figs and prosciutto were delicious. We always enjoy the Strozapreti Emiliano pasta. We really like this place and dine here often.
Dead on authentic Italian. We were with another couple that’s never been there and they love it.
Very reasonably priced while using quality ingredients. I’m there at least once a week with either family or friends and never been disappointed.
Good hard-working people. A great asset to Birmingham.
A must try if you want authentic Italian from their espresso and cappuccino to the entrées and desserts.
Excellent service and the best Italian fare in Birmingham.
Too much traffic around the dessert counter. I would not want tomatillos on the two tables next to the counter.
This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to! Food is always delicious and the servers are so nice!
We had an absolutely beautiful time at La Strada Dolci e Caffee for dinner. It was a beautiful summer night and we sat outside. The service was great, and the food was delicious. Best pasta we've had in a very long time!
I decided to come back to this place after a couple of previous disappointments hoping that things got better. The main problem remained the same. The on line menu has quite a variety of appealing things. Unfortunately the ones we wanted the most were not available. The salmon was not available. The hamburger was not available. If you can’t provide a hamburger at your place, this is absolutely pathetic.
The food was overall good but the pear tart was brought to us out of the refrigerator. It was cold and besides that a little unappealing with almost a non existing pear topping. Prices are quite high for what you have to offer.
The waitress was nice trying very hard to make excuses for the things not available on the menu.
My suggestion is to redo your on line menu and let the customers know what you are able to offer at your place.
Great food and service. I look forward to going back again.
Great dining experience!
I have no idea what all the hype is about this restaurant. It’s so loud you can not have a conversation with the person you’re dinning with. You can certainly hear everyone else’s. The tables are crowded, the wine list is pitiful, the wait staff are nonexistent. When they do appear, they are rude, & uninterested. This may be a result of not being able to hear you. The menu is boring. They now have a chalk board that the waitstaff covet. When they do present it, the items are 2-3 times the price of they’re regular menu. I ordered a pasta dish looking forward to tasting they’re homemade pasta & ingredients. I received over cooked pasta to the point of being sticky, & tasteless. The sauce was basically nonexistent. I was going to send it back until an irate guest started screaming about waiting 45 minutes for his order. He paid for his beverage, & exited. AHh, the lucky one. If you should need to use the restrooms, bring you’re hand sanitizer. The one restroom that was functioning was filthy, with a nonfunctional faucet. It made me question where the employees wash they’re hands ...
I have been here twice using Open Table for my reservation. Both times they’re was no record of it. I proceeded to pull it up on my phone, like I did the first time. I was rudely told it was my mistake.
I will not be back, & would strongly recommend against dinning their.
Reservations at 6:15 ordered by 6:30 a d by 7:45 we still had not received our entrees. Told by the owner, unapologetically, that “good food takes time to prepare”! He just lost 2 customers plus....
I’ve been enjoying this restaurant for a few years. Food is great. Enjoy the ambiance. Outdoor seating available. A must try.
