It was a quiet night so the waiter we had could have been a bit more attentive.
Nice interiors but layout very similar to Sophies which was a little disappointing as expected something a little different. Food reasonable but not amazing.
Two of main courses had run out - apart from that I’d have given a 5 star rating. The lamb dish was one of those that had run out - duck was offered as a replacement but we felt the dish didn’t work with duck
The place is beautiful, very stylish. The food is just ok, nothing special tbh, so it's a bit pricey if you ask me now. Staff was very nice but too much at times. We had to wait way too long even though it wasn't full.
Overall it was good because this chain has very beautiful places in Dublin but not for the food itself.
Service was excellent. Pizza not as good as on previous visits and despite having a cocktail bar downstairs, bar was unable to provide any garnish for a gin and tonic ie Monkey 47 with fever tree tonic. We asked for a strawberry and on checking we were told there were non available.
Very noisy table beside us as well.
Layla’s was great when opened first but we have noticed pizza has disimproved recently.
Generally v good. Just slow to get a prosecco on arrival, had to ask a couple of times. Wine list expensive
Easy ambience and good menu and nice wine list
Enjoyable evening with friends. Lovely setting and Food was excellent. Good variety on the menu. Will definitely be back.
Extremely slow service & constantly trying to catch eye of waiter for service - tedious
Service was slow and quite inattentive. The food was pretty average, wouldn’t complain about it but could have cooked it myself!
Cocktails we good though and there was a great buzz in the restaurant so it was a very enjoyable evening. I’m not sure I’d go as far as to recommend but I’ll probably be back again at some stage!
Would recommend purely for experience and wonderful views. Restaurant is a tad chilly due to breeze from terrace.
the ambience was very good, the staff, the people, even though they didnt have the dessert that i wanted the food overall was delicious and it was so nice of them to do a complimentary drink for International Women's day. Also loved the swing :)
Lovely setting and atmosphere. Decent food, unfortunately service was long. Would still recommend.
Enjoyable experience but overpriced for what you get
Really nice space. We had to ask to be moved as sitting anywhere near the door is incredibly draughty.
Food is good, bit cold coming out.
Views fabulous and pretty good value for money. Nice cocktails.
Service very poor. Waiter was under trained and nobody obviously guiding him.
Amazing food. Great cocktails. Fab venue for all occasions
Delicious food, even nicer cocktails, beautiful setting and service was spot on. Lovely spot for an afternoon lunch!
Good ambience, outside area is nice for sundowners (should the weather allow). Food is good value for money.
Food was excellent and venue is elegant with a stunning view however service was shockingly bad with no ownership over our table and unhelpful and rude staff
Yes I would recommend food was good, we all had Pizzas as nothing on the main appealed to us. The sides were lovely also.
We went for lunch on Sunday to find the menu was different than was advertised on your site , it was more brunch less lunch
Breakfast tasted good and good value as portion size was perfect. I had booked a it in advance with a request of having window seats. When we arrived there were many window seats vacant but staff member said there were none available for two people. I could understand that.....had they been expecting people to fill these seats. When we were leaving, these empty seats were still empty. Another customer approached me and said the exact same thing had happened them. I fully understand if it was booked up but wasnt the case. Also staff could've been more attentive on the day. Water ran out, I had to request more. Then the next time they stopped it up was after I'd paid the bill and was about to leave!
Incredible dining experience, service was first class, food & drink amazing, loved the decor and the terrace was the best part! Will definitely be back.
Staff were really lovely and food was of very high standard for great price
All is exceptional, including service. However, it lacks on vegan options! Overall, good environment and drinks!
Four of us had a first class meal, ambiance and wine. Brilliant.
88th mothers birthday lunch, waiter and staff very helpful and fun!! Food tasty, cocktails good but very little wine available by the glass!
Staff were amazing! Two new mum's with babies in tow and they couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Thank you!
Food and service just ok, tofu starter and vegetarian main were both quite tasteless. Beef taco starter was nice and beef was cooked nicely.
The reason I’m giving overall 3 isn’t because the experience was negative, it just wasn’t very new. The brand is absolutely there so if you like the likes of Sophie’s, Angelina’s, Roberta’s then you’ll like this. I think the value for money leans more toward their efforts to the upholding of the brand rather than the food being spectacular. It’s an ‘overall’ value for money experience which means that whether you have a pizza or a main course with drinks the price will lean a little higher than you might have wanted to pay for casual dining. I guess it’s casual dining with a view, flair, a brand that’s on the cusp of saturation, a price tag and if all goes well the making of an occasion. Overall recommended. And nice to see Ranelagh stretch itself past a suburban dining hub to something more central feeling (if that makes sense)!
A great experience our waitress Emily was exceptional, so friendly and helpful with everything. We couldn’t have asked for more.
Lovely atmosphere and great service. Great for the kids too.
Really enjoyed our evening. Maybe the best Pizza in Dublin? Can’t wait to come back again!
Myself and my girlfriend went there for dinner the other night. Our waitress Aimee took great care of us and made us feel most welcome. Great night overall with great food.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere, food was lovely, but portions a little small, staff and service very good
The food was delicious. The service was awful. Only for the manager who did notice what was going on and helped a bit we would have walked out. I have never seen staff to be so uninterested in helping. It was embarrassing as I had picked the restaurant for some friends. Such a shame cause the food was amazing.
We (party of 3) enjoyed a lovely midweek evening in LAYLA's this week. Service was excellent and the
food delicious ( maybe a little on the pricey side). Will definitely return. Many thanks to all.
Loved everything about Layla’s except that we were sitting so close to the couple beside us I felt I had to introduce ourselves as we sat down! After all we would be spending the next few hours together! Top Tip...Ask for a booth.
Lovely venue but we all had the salad which wasn’t great. Supposed to be pickled pear tasted fresh to me. Blue cheese was sparse. Almost no dressing but more was asked for and received. Overall I’ve had much better versions. Lacking flavour and bite which I would expect from black pudding and blue cheese.
