Le Bon Crubeen
Nice restautant and nice food but it was very quiet, so hard to gauge the French ambience of the place...the staff were very helpful
nice relaxed restaurant with great food and very friendly staff
In general it was fine. No major problems. The only minor complaint we had was that the food came a little too quickly. As non-drinkers it didn't leave much time to savor the occasion. We were seated at approximately 7:20pm and were finished (one starter, two mains, one desert) just over an hour later. This might be ideal for others in fairness, and it was a busy Saturday night so maybe they just wanted to get people in and out but it was a little bit of a drawback for us.
Good food, service and value
I brought my mother before a show. we felt it was only ok. Staff didn't seem very happy, food wasn't anything to write home about. The fish was a bit too greasy, mushy peas was a tea spoon full size and straight out of the fridge. I felt the cost is a bit too high.
Food absolutely delicious, staff friendly and attentive and didn't break the bank. Would definitely go back
Service was OUTSTANDING. The lady that looked after us was very attentive! Food was superb. Everyone in our party enjoyed every bite. The only thing that was a minor issue was where we were seated (table across from toilet door). We felt we were in the way over everyone passing by but other than that, it was a very enjoyable evening. Thank you for having us :)
Food: Appetizer was good, entree - not great (overcooked), dessert - ok.
Service: If you are lucky enough to get waiter's attention, food is served reasonably fast. Problem is - it took me 30-40 minutes to get waiter's attention. They just don't seem to care.
If not for my poor experience with the service, I'd give it 3-4 stars. But there are plenty of alternatives in Dublin.
Really enjoyed a meal for two . Delicious !
Great spot for a client lunch and good value. Have been many times and will be back!
Casual, easy going placw. Good for a quick dinner and a few drinks.
Always a great experience and wonderful food.
Lovely food & service
I have eaten here before and on both visits the food was excellent. The reason I gave 3 stars for ambiance is that we sat outside and it’s on a busy street that’s a bit run down in spots . I have eaten inside also and I love the decor. Would recommend it especially if you are heading to the Abbey Theatre which is 10 minutes walk away
It's a very nice pub/restaurant. Unfortunately the food was not as good as I was led to believe from other reviews. Maybe we got them on a bad day. Two of our party had fish and chips. 17.95 for a ver small piece of vry thin fish. No real potatos either . The pea purée had a very strange taste. That evening and The next day I had cramps and did not feel very well. Fish and chips is not a difficult meal to prepare and I have had much better. I thought the menu would have had more choice but it's basically fast food at restaurant prices. I wouldn't be rushing back.
Really lovely restaurant, friendly staff and delicious food. We went for dinner pre theatre and really enjoyed it.
We shouldn't have worried about a reservation. They approached our taxi as soon as it pulled up to the curb. They were trying to get customers in by speaking to anyone passing by. There was one other occupied table at the time. The food was really bad. We usually won't say much if one plate is off, but both were. We told our server who sent the manager over. After paying for drinks we left without eating. Maybe just an off night, but they should have been on top of their game with so few customers. Poor food might be the reason why.
V pleasant dining experience. My only complaint is the tables are little close to each other.
In the opinion of the 14 German visitors in booked in this was an excellent choice .Varied menu and good choice of wine. Service very good. Atmosphere cheerful
5 of us had lunch and it was absolutely delicious! Will certainly be back!
Lovely food, great service. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere great. Will definitely be going back again!!
Good service and a nice dinning room - unfortunately the food wasn't great .
A pretentious restaurant that claims French influence, but there is nothing French there except the prices.
Amateur service, The waiters do not relate to the diners at all.
Great service and great value for money. The service was friendly and efficient and came exactly as ordered. The pre-theatre menu is a great idea before a show !
Nice food... Good value
Really lovely experience for my moms birthday. I’m a coeliac and the staff were very helpful with helping me choose. Lovely menu, reasonable prices for very good food. Nice wine menu and very pleasant staff. Unfortunately they cook their fries in the same oil as their fish etc so they were not an option for me. But otherwise everything was lovely. Would definitely return.
Really enjoyed my visit, food was delicious, service was great, staff very polite and friendly, definitely recommend and will definitely go back again ☺
Really enjoyed our visit. Service very good and food delicious Will certainly return there in the near future
Server was extremely rude and unfriendly. We were made to feel like we were bothering her. She did not introduce herself, did not tell us the specials, did not offer drink refills, was visibly aggravated we were splitting credit cards as payment. Worst service we received while traveling through Dublin
excellent food with a great pretheatre menu, good atmosphere and good service
9 ladies booked for the pre theatre menu . We were not disappointed, good selection and decent sized portions were served . Very attentive waitress, who was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding what my gluten intolerant friend could order . Couple little issues with the food , the vegerterian option was a pasta which was a bit dry as no sauce accompanied it , however the waitress brought out a pesto mayo that improved the dish no end . Excellent value for money and would definitely be back .
A great menu, plenty of choice for the whole of our family of omnivores, pescatarians and vegetarians; imaginative and delicious food, my was great but the bread-and-butter pudding - with Guinness ice cream (oh yes) was fantastic. Excellent location and attentive staff.
We really enjoyed our dinner and the service. The staff were friendly and attentive. The night we were there their electricity went and as a result they had the back door open which resulted in us being cold for the end of our meal. Bearing in mind what they were dealing with it this wasn’t a deal breaker for us .... overall it’s lovely restaurant with good food and good service
The food and service were excellent. Very good value meal.
Our only small complaint was we were seated beside a door that opened into the pub next door and every few minutes we would get a waft of second hand smoke. Something to block this air coming into the restaurant would be appreciated.
Music was a bit too loud, apart from this it was lovely
Was an excellent first-time dining experience. Wasn't able to stay too long as we had a show to attend but will return
Have always walked by this restaurant on the way to train but really enjoyed eating there for pre theatre dinner.Lovely atmosphere, food very good and staff just right.
I would definitely return
Nice food, good service, pleasant atmosphere. You can't go wrong. Plus their pre theatre menu is quite good value!
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. I went on Christmas Eve and the ambiance was wonderful.
Fab Christmas evening out for large group of friends! Fab drinks and food! Lovely atmosphere too.
