Le Bon Crubeen
Really enjoyed our visit. Service very good and food delicious Will certainly return there in the near future
Server was extremely rude and unfriendly. We were made to feel like we were bothering her. She did not introduce herself, did not tell us the specials, did not offer drink refills, was visibly aggravated we were splitting credit cards as payment. Worst service we received while traveling through Dublin
excellent food with a great pretheatre menu, good atmosphere and good service
9 ladies booked for the pre theatre menu . We were not disappointed, good selection and decent sized portions were served . Very attentive waitress, who was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding what my gluten intolerant friend could order . Couple little issues with the food , the vegerterian option was a pasta which was a bit dry as no sauce accompanied it , however the waitress brought out a pesto mayo that improved the dish no end . Excellent value for money and would definitely be back .
A great menu, plenty of choice for the whole of our family of omnivores, pescatarians and vegetarians; imaginative and delicious food, my was great but the bread-and-butter pudding - with Guinness ice cream (oh yes) was fantastic. Excellent location and attentive staff.
We really enjoyed our dinner and the service. The staff were friendly and attentive. The night we were there their electricity went and as a result they had the back door open which resulted in us being cold for the end of our meal. Bearing in mind what they were dealing with it this wasn’t a deal breaker for us .... overall it’s lovely restaurant with good food and good service
The food and service were excellent. Very good value meal.
Our only small complaint was we were seated beside a door that opened into the pub next door and every few minutes we would get a waft of second hand smoke. Something to block this air coming into the restaurant would be appreciated.
Music was a bit too loud, apart from this it was lovely
Was an excellent first-time dining experience. Wasn't able to stay too long as we had a show to attend but will return
Have always walked by this restaurant on the way to train but really enjoyed eating there for pre theatre dinner.Lovely atmosphere, food very good and staff just right.
I would definitely return
Nice food, good service, pleasant atmosphere. You can't go wrong. Plus their pre theatre menu is quite good value!
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. I went on Christmas Eve and the ambiance was wonderful.
Fab Christmas evening out for large group of friends! Fab drinks and food! Lovely atmosphere too.
This was our third visit to Le Bon Crubeen and as we left we told the staff that we would be back . The location is central, the food excellent and well presented and for a reasonable price
Food is exceptional. One of the best Bistrots in Dublin. Charming service, totally unpretentious. A hidden gem
very good value - great food and efficient service.
Great food, good service and handy location for pre theatre! Early bird is great value!
Food was spectacular, however felt abit rushed which leads to believe it was all fresh. Food came out far too quick but it tasted super.
I had the Braised Venison with a Tempranillo. One of the best meals I’ve ever experienced. We were in a hurry a Claudio managed to get us our food and a bottle of wine all done in less than an hour.
Great early bird menu. Very pleasant staff and tasty food!!
Very basic. Not excellent. Altough affordable prices
Excellent menu. Service amiable and efficient. Food delicious and good value.
We were seated in backroom of restaurant, very quiet, lacking ambience, just had main coures & left
Excellent all round staff ,food , ambience and value.
Will definitely be back and also recommend this place to friends and family and work colleagues 👍👍👍
Have been to Le Bon Crubeen several times and on this occasion the Food was markedly and noticeably much improved from previous, a much more diverse menu, closer to the Irish/French name than before.
Service has always been good and timely, no change here.
I hope the good reviews ensure a greater footfall and prevents a return to the more safe/tourist fayre menus of the past.
We had a lovely pre-theater meal here and both my husband and I were very impressed with everything from service to quality. Will defo be back and have already recommended to friends.
I had eaten here before & it was lovely so I recommended it to a friend as a pre theatre dinner. My friend was very disappointed with her food she ordered a goats cheese salad that came with granola a very strange accompaniment that she didn’t really like. I had a pasta dish that was nice.
Well worth putting this place on your bucket list you will not be disapointed
Third time here and excellent every time. Day out from Birmingham for my friends birthday and especially booked the restaurant because I knew it was good. We will be back.
Was very Meh. Was expecting a nicer experience and food. Service was ok but was in and out very quickly, not the type of place to have a long meal in.
We had eaten in Le Bon Crubeen years ago and when we were going to a play in the Abbey thought it would be ideal for pre theatre dinner. How wrong we were.
The menu itself was uninspiring, bland and it was difficult for both of us to pick from. We decided to both go for fish and chips in the end.
It arrived less than 5 mins after ordering! How can you do that? It was obviously completely preprepared, the chips very firm and the mushy peas while tasting fine were freezing.
We asked for dessert menu and again it was hard to choose from, we had a chocolate tart and kiwi cheesecake. Chocolate tart was ok but kiwi cheesecake must have been last weeks- hard base that you had to pick up to get through and a tasteless green goo on top.
No excuses for this type of food anymore. Our waiter didn't ask once how was the food- he stated 'I'm glad you enjoyed that' and collected the plates.
While we could 'eat' most of the meal it isn't priced appropriate to its quality and wasn't the enjoyable treat we had expected. We will NOT be back.
Noticeable that the majority of customers were on tour or visitors with very few locals.
The beetroot salad with goat cheese was gorgeous looking and tasted wonderful. The chicken was very tasty.
Le Bon Crubeen is centrally located in Talbot St near the Abbey. Service was quick and friendly and the food was excellent
Very tasty food. Busy but were not in a rush and enjoyed our meal.
The food and service was excellent. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Our only negative comment is in reference to the location. We found the atmosphere in Talbot Street very intimidating.
We really enjoyed our mothers day get together. While the service was friendly and attentive - at times it felt as if the staff were quite stretched. This wouldn't put me off going again as the food and ambience were lovely.
Excellent food and service
Pleasant atmosphere, attentive staff and delicious food!
Four of us arrived at twelve, intending to get an early train for the match at the Aviva. Our waiter advised what dishes would take the least time, so we ordered pate, fish and chips, butternut soup with coconut and ceasar salad. The food was served within fifteen minutes of order, fresh and hot and my pate was delicious. My friends were equally happy with their food. Washed down with a few craft beers and we were on the train at 12.50. Well done for the prompt service and good food and I would have no hesitation returning.
