Libby's was established in 2008, named after the Seidensticker family matriarch-Libby.                                                                                                         Great menu and the food is still very good but prefer the pre-Reno Libby’s layout and decor. New look more appropriate for a brunch than a special evening out. Seats were quite uncomfortable. Drops down in our list of Sarasota favorites. Sorry!

                                                                                                        I Love Libbys BUT… we sat outside under the covered area. I sat at a table that had booth/bench seating that is connected to 2 tables. The seats were cloth and filthy. Then a very large dog that had been on the floor next to us jumped up and laid down on the cloth bench between me and the dog owner. The dog was sweet but should not have been allowed to do so. No one said a thing to the owner. I love dogs but owners need to be respectful to patrons who dine who may not like this. I have a dog and I would never do this.

                                                                                                        We had reservations for outside dining- brunch for 4 people. As the hostess was taking us to a great table another group who had been seated out on the sidewalk decided that they preferred our table. Instead of asking that group to move back to their table, she put us out by the door. Then the endless mimosas are virtually 90% OJ. Finally the brunch items especially the potatoes, were not hot. I had to send the potatoes back. The waiter brought a second serving that were still not hot at all. I am disappointed and will not return for brunch here.

The past 4 dinners have been sub par…the service last night was bad…it is close so we kept saying “let’s give them one more chance” and then after going again we say “let’s find somewhere else” Too bad…it used to be our favorite restaurant. Outside wire chairs are very uncomfortable and the floor was dirty…

Also, they gave us roses 🌹 for Mother’s day. The whole experience was absolutely nice. Everything was clean, including the bathrooms. The prices are great as well as the food.

It’s such a plus that Libby’s takes reservations. Our service was a little lacking this time. Very absent minded waiter who seemed to be in a rush even though it was 3 in the afternoon & not very busy. Asked about beer selection, my husband stated his preference & then he rushed off before my daughter & I could add our order —maybe we could have been asked? Surprised to be charged $3 for bread, because I wanted something to dip in my scampi sauce. Should have be informed there would be a charge & then $1/slice?? Sirloin was delicious & a great price. Green beans w/garlic were very good. Roses were offered to Mom’s (it was Mother’s Day) but I had to ask for mine. My daughter’s burger was not cooked as ordered. My husband loved his steak frites. Love this place but it was a little off on this visit.

                                                                                                        Excellent service from the time we walked in until we left. The food was excellent (three of us had the ribs, which just fell off the bones). Really good service from Kata. Excellent evening all together.

Surprised my wife with a date to somewhere we’ve never been, and we loved it. We had a few drinks at the bar before our reservations. Both the bar are and dining area were very clean and all staff were prompt, pleasant and attentive.
