Lidia's features authentic, regional Italian cuisine. Every item at the restaurant is house-made entirely from scratch with the best ingredients available. Breads and desserts are baked in-house daily and each salad and entree is prepared fresh.

Every day Lidia's offers a sampling of seasonal, daily-made pastas. We also feature many seafood, chicken, pork, and beef options. We are happy to accommodate your dietary needs including gluten-free items.

Lidia's is located in the historic Freighthouse-- a beautiful 19th century building. The stunning decor includes three hand-blown chandeliers, a three-story slate fireplace, and cozy, New York style seating.

                                                        ✨No Sunday scaries when there’s pasta trios and Sunday sauce ✨ My birthday called for a celebratory dinner last weekend, so ventured out to try something new (to us!) 🍝 @lidiaskc is known for the pasta trio - served table side and with rotating dishes 🤩 ours consisted of potato leek ravioli, pesto with heirloom tomatoes, and a fettuccine bolognese! Sundays also mean Sunday sauce — a rich red sauce loaded with a variety of meats (meat balls, sausage, pork shoulder) over rigatoni! Of course we had to round out the meal with some sweets! The gelato flight, chocolate torte, and tiramisu were all delicious, and I loved the little festive touch to mine 🥳 We left full and satisfied 🥰😅 #lidiaskc #lidias #explorekc #pastatrio #downtownkc #bestbiteskc #pasta #pastalovers

                                                        Best pasta I’ve had in a long time, yum. Wife and I had the Three course pasta trio. Left so full they had to roll me out. Great service, great atmosphere. We’ll be back.

                                                        We had a later reservation but decided to go when they opened to see if we could be seated. They were already busy, but found us a seat. Bonus! We arrived during happy hour so we enjoyed drinks and tasty appetizers! The food was great, including our deserts and I’m going to look for a recipe for the dish I had - a pasta with ground almonds and basil with shrimp. I’m glad we decided to go to Lidia’s again during this trip instead of trying somewhere else for Italian food. Compared to bbq, Italians can make a wide variety of ingredients taste wonderful!

Service and atmosphere are solid, yet the food is marginal, served in excess, and not a foodie destination. For Italian in KC, there are several additional options that are exceedingly better if the flavor and uniqueness are your preference. If volume is your play, this is a viable option.

                                                        Always a delight when we get to dine at Lidia’s. A debate to decide to eat here or BBQ when in town, one which Lidia’s usually wins. Matthew is a delight. Welcoming to family members who join us from 2-82. Never a wrong choice with the pasta trio.

                                                        We had a wonderful dinner at Lidia’s in Kansas City! The pasta trio was amazing, and the tiramisu was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect place to celebrate our friend’s 80th birthday and make the evening extra special. Great food and a memorable experience! We’d definitely recommend Lidia’s for a special occasion.
