Fabulous food. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Very small so tables close together but it didn't bother us. I had the lobster roll, it was delicious and husband had the lobster burger. We were very happy. Good early bird which I hadn't realised they did. Will be back.
We loved it. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Thank you.
I had lunched at Lobster, so brought my husband for a birthday dinner. The food was delicious, the service lovely and the wine list was good. I will certainly go again; we had three courses, a bottle of wine, and two glasses..bill with tip was €150. Well worth it, but if going the whole hog..for special dates.
a Gem of a restaurant with pleasant surroundings and friendly staff. The food was superb, innovative with adequate choice. They have a good choice of wines and the total experience was surprising unexpected as it was our first visit to Lobstar. The onl downside is the off street parking in Monkstown on the weekend.
Brilliant resturant ! Great food! Great staff! Accommodating to allergies. My favorite in dublin
Superb outdoor dining experience tonight with awesome seafood, meat, and other options. W had the Lobstar burger (meat + lobster tail), regular burger, scallops and chicken wings starters, and we ordered selection of fries to accompany (plain, truffles, and parmesan to keep the nom factor high). Highly recommended you try the outside dining (weather permitting) or ask for sitting at the counter instead of regular table seating options. Watch the world watch you as it goes by. Excellent customer experience with friendly, fast, multinational crew!
Loved our night out here, all food was fabulous especially surf n turf special & chocolate mousse desert
Lobstar is always AMAZING and last Friday was no exception. It just gets better and better.
From arrival was very welcoming.
Patron is very involved and that is a significant feature.
Served a drink on the house at end
Top quality in every sense
Fantastic as usual, the lobster was amazing. Staff ultra friendly and overall great experience.
I drive approx 25 miles to eat here and I've never been disappointed
Excellent food enjoyed by our party of four backed up by charming waiting staff.
An excellent evening... well done Lobstar!
Thank you for a wonderful lunch and such attentive service. The complenrary desert and candle for our 86yr old birthday girl was very much appreciated 😊
Lovely place to eat! Food was delicious. The flavors were amazing. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!
We were on holiday in Dublin and found Lobstar online.
Absolutely loved it! The food was fabulous and the lobster so sweet. Had Skate, Bream and mussels too in the Lobstar pot and I would highly recommend both the fish and the restaurant.
What an absolutely wonderful restaurant! The food is so stunning and the service is perfect. The early evening menu is incredible value for the standard of food and the choice available. The attention to detail is impecible from the crockery down to the presentation. Loved it! Can't wait to go back again.
This is not my first time here but it is my first review. I adore this place. The food here is fresh, well prepared, beautifully presented and delicious. I have tried most items on their menu and can not fault any. All exquisite!
The service is perfect - a mix of attentiveness but not overpowering, they allow you to enjoy your meal uninterrupted yet still deliver a very personal service to each table.
We had an early evening dinner so we’re able to order from the early bird. €24 for 2 courses and €28 for 3, is amazing value for the quality of the food. We weren’t expecting food that special. We had 2 different fish mains and both were delicious as well as beautifully presented. Will be back to try the lobster. Oh, also really lovely service/staff.
Excellent attentive service, friendly atmosphere & really tasty food.
The Welcome, service and food were all outstanding.
Prices for food a little high but wine prices very high.
The only negative for us was the noise levels in the full restaurant were very high
Would recommend it - but not for those who want an intimate dinner - a little too noisy.
Wonderful evening. Kindly changed us from counter to table when requested.
This is a restaurant to go to if you want to push the boat out and have a really good (but expensive) meal. The lobster was great. The leaf and mango salad with it had a fabulous zing. The creamed potatoes and chips with parmesan and truffle oil were perhaps a bit on the rich side, but the ingredients were top notch. The service was perfect - attentive and speedy, but not over eager or fawning.
Outstanding food. Great music and ideal level. Despite the name no lobster in a tank Restaurant - very original food and use of star performer.
This was our third time returning to Lobstar so what does that tell you. We love Lobstar. The dishes are exquisite, the service is exceptional to the point that after each dish the table is wiped down fully, the atmosphere is very friendly and warm. My mother (very hard to impress) who we brought with us on our most recent visit is still talking about the dishes she ate and how excellent they were. Extremely satisfied and looking forward to our 4th visit. I have, and will continue to recommend Lobstar to all my friends.
Lobstar always delivers from a lovely warm welcome through friendly service to the delightful food. Casual dining in a buzzy atmosphere - serves to do well
Beautifully cooked food - my husband had the lobster bisque (very good) to start and then the sea bream but thought there was too much of the pak choi on the plate. I had the scallops to start (really nice) and then the braised beef cheeks and it was beautiful - I had ordered the mash potatoes to go with it but it didn't really need it. We were too full for dessert but the dessert menu is not extensive anyway - just three choices including cheese and biscuits. Menu was the same as the one we had last year in August - it would be nice to have a few more changes (perhaps some blackboard specials?). Service was a bit on the slow side but a few people had come in at the same time so they did well to try and keep up with it.
Super team, gorgeous food, Irish lobster and oysters. Need we say more? It ain’t cheap however it is incredible value for the quality of food, faultless simple cooking, well sourced ingredients and busy fun atmosphere. Well done to all the team!
First time to visit Lobster which was recommended by a friend! Had the loveliest evening, food was fantastic. Highly recommend the Bloody Mary Oysters, Lobster Ravioli & New York Lobster Roll. Loved the decor & very friendly & attentive staff. Looking forward to my next visit already.
Loved the food and the attentive service. Will definitely go again. The Lobstar pot was delicious.
Excellent food preparation and presentation. I had lobster bisque and sea bream, my colleague the chicken wings and the beef burger. Some of the best I've had worldwide. The range of seafood and meat options is refined, and the starter and desserts compliment the handcrafted choice of menu options. Superb, attentive, but not obtrusive service. Small details such as the warm bread and Oscar Wilde mineral water add an overall great customer experience. Don't let the name "Lobstar" put you off. It's about more than shellfish. And it's great value and in a relatively quiet location with easy parking around... it rocks.
The best meal I have had in Dublin for a very long time. Cannot fault anything, will definitely return & suggest making a trip here if Lobsters & burgers appeal to you.
Another great night in Lobstar. Wonderful food and service from Veronika and Co.
Let's start by saying I have been a culinery professional since 1992, and I have worked as places from 1 star to 5 . I ordered the the beef cheek and my wife ordered the lobster burger. She was not impressed. A med well burger with a finger sized piece of poached lobster on top, a tomato confit that overwhelmed the taste of the lobster and the hand ground beef, and a Chef set med well temp. At 23 €, could've
been better, though the twice cooked fries were awesome. My cheek plate was quite tasty though the cheek cut has more fat content than I like. The celeriac and sauce were beautiful but I had to question the staff as to whether the butter nut squash had been replaced by a carrot puree, no carrot flavor and a lot of squash flavor, I was a bit confused. 3 meals out here in Dublin, this was the most expensive at least enjoyed, sorry.
Definitely in our top five best meals. Food was superb, as was the service. We will definitely be back.
This little gem of a place in Monkstown is hands down one of the beat meals I’ve had in Dublin in a very long time. The pan fried Ray was melt in the mouth delicious everything else on the menu looked beautiful too. Fanstastic atmosphere and the service was friendly, excellent and really professional. I’m already looking forward to going back.
Stunning food, great service would definitely recommend!
As ever , had a special dining experience at Lobstar , from the perfect oysters through the exquisite Lobstar Pot and the excellent cheese board plus well judged wine list . We quickly forgot about the very wet evening outside ! And the delightfully friendly and courteous welcome and attention of the hosts and staff . Will be back soon of course !
Absolutely superb from start to finnish.Exceptional food and service.Food brimming with passion And flavour.Cant wait to return!
Way too expensive. I was given a tiny amount of lobster,2 mouthfuls in fact,we were charged a ridiculous amount.
Oysters were sublime, muscles in tomato sauce - nice, ray-wings - perfectly done and nicest I have every eaten. Choc mouse type dessert was melt in the mouth perfection. Wine list on the expensive side, but the wine was lovely too. I will go back again soon to try the actual lobster...
loved the meal we had here. Delicious. The reports we'd had of the restaurant were not an exaggeration. Highly recommended.
