The food was very authentic and the ambiance was beautiful! I’m not one to write negative reviews but the service was pretty disappointing. We were seated for 35 mins before getting someone’s attention to have water, silverware, and order drinks. I’m glad that I went and experienced this cute place! I’m not sure that I would necessarily return just because of the service.

As a person born and raised in Barcelona, I can vouch for Lola’s Spanish authentic cuisine. I enjoyed the treatment from the waitresses and the food. The wine assortment was totally of my liking, with local products. I totally recommend it

Food was a bit disappointing based on previous dining experiences at Lola’s. Hostess could have been more tactful since our outdoor reservation was affected by the weather. We were seated on the porch next door which was pleasant.

It was little noise BY OUR CHOICE to sit outside. The food was delicious, the menu varied and the kitchen was super accommodating to some allergies. But the stand-out was Pat our server. He made the evening spectacular. His awesome personality added to the evening's perfection.

Food was really good , we sat outside on the alley, would have prefered a table on the front (no atmosphere on the alley). Lamb was served cold and not properly cooked. The server was amazing.

We were seated along the side of the building which was stuffy and loud (music). Our server kept pressuring us to order more food, and asked us, "Really?" when we requested the check. That being said, the food was delicious.

Went on a date and sat at the bar. The staff was attentive and friendly. The Sangria was delicious, and the other cocktails looked amazing. We ordered several tapas to share. Our favorites were the Ceviche, Crabmeat Tropical, and the Garlic Shrimp. The Restaurant itself is lovely and homey, with a European feel. We were both impressed and will definitely return and recommend to friends!

Post jazz fest . Made a reservation for 845. Stopped by around 730 and let the hostess know we had a reservation and would like to get in earlier if a space became available. She said she would text me if it did. I didn’t hear back and we showed up at exact 845 and we were told to wait. While we were waiting the hostess sat another party in a prime location. She asked if they had a reservation and they said no. I asked her why they had been seated before us and she said they had been waiting a while and that we needed to wait for our table. Unless we wanted to sit in a less desirable spot. Since we were hungry I said ok. We were there over 30 minutes and the only person who acknowledged us was a bus boy who had only been here three days . He poured us water . Finally we flagged down a server on the other side. She told us to would be 45 minutes to get what we wanted to order. We called an Uber and left . Starving . The other party without the reservations were happily eating and drinking wine. I don’t think I’ve ever been more mistreated at an establishment.

Sat us in the worst table in front. Service was super slow, unattentive, and sloppy. Maybe the worst waistaff at any New Orleans restaurant of this level. Utterly overpriced (for what you get), and super disappointing.

This is the place to wait out the crowd post-JazzFest! Right near the Fairgrounds. Terrific tapas appetizers, good cocktails, nice selection of Spanish entrees, and a fun funky funky vibe.

Lola's was anticipating a Jazz Fest crowd. Fortunately, we had reservations. They accommodated our reservation request change graciously. The shrimp, ceviche and crab tapas dishes were delicious as was the watermelon margarita. Lovely sidewalk restaurant.

Definitely not what it used to be. The wonderful art is off the walls, the inside is depressing. Food still very good. Just feels like it lost it's charm from when Angel was there. Cassie our server was excellent. We sat outside and it was perfect, but as the weather heats up it won't be so comfortable outside but unless they do something with the ambience inside it will still be best option.

The Paella is as if you are in Barcelona.We ordered the seafood Paella for two and still had leftovers. Good Sangria, but i always ask for a bit of Cava to give it a little fizz. Our staff person, Kelly, was really great, has a wonderful personality and treated us quite well. We sat outside, it was a bit breezy at first but as the nite went on and the Sangria was consumed, it warmed up. Great restaurant, great food, great service, great ambiance, we highly recommend “Lola’s” on Esplanade.

WORST BIRTHDAY DINNER! I had a reservation and for 7 pm and got there early. The host noted I was too early (15mins) in which I responded that I understood and was willing to wait. They seated more people ahead of us asked if we wanted outside or inside. I let them know it didn’t matter, I wasn’t picky so whatever table they had available I was okay with… there were many seating outside in the front of the restaurant however they proceeded to clean off a very small table in the very back in the ALLEY on the side of the restaurant. My husband and I got stuck in a corner. I was stuck looking at a wooden fence! My husband and I are Black, and while I don’t want to add race to it I had to really fight the idea that they put us back there because of that. We did notice we were the ONLY people of color at the establishment so it felt icky. However, The waitress was very kind and super sweet, they were short staffed so we understood when the food was late. The food was average at best and definitely overpriced. It was upsetting because I picked this place for an intimate birthday dinner and it was just not up to par. Will not be visiting the place again.
