   I’ve eaten here twice now. I enjoyed it. Obviously enough to go back. Tonight my dining partner and I shared the lump crab guacamole and the ceviche. The ceviche had octopus and shrimp In it, along with some clean veggies. It was very refreshing. The guacamole was a very fair portion. It wasn’t overly salted, or overly spiced. It was really nice. They even brought veggies for me to have instead of the chips to make it even healthier. I would recommend Lona’s for a date, a group of friends, a family outing or even solo. It’s a great environment. I will say, the only down side I saw was the service. They are very friendly but spread thin. I highly recommend ordering everything you can while you have their attention or it’ll be a long wait before they circle back to you.

   WOW IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY. The food and drinks were on point and beyond amazing. I’m probably gonna be back tomorrow. The food was truly delicious. Definitely will recommend to everyone!    Nothing was bad the food was good … omelettes amazing!! Pretty bummed about shrimp ceviche with tiny salad shrimp. Taco bar was good. Hard to get refills on drinks and very noisy. Didn’t leave feeling bad about the experience but also wasn’t wowed.

   Great tacos! A bit pricey but I'm vacation they were truly worth it! So delicious if I'm back in the area next year I'll definitely go there again! Elisa and Karen were amazing to us and Nelson was the best server ever

    Our second time here. First time we went around brunch time and second time we went for a late lunch. Food is solid. Definitely get the lobster quesadilla and margaritas. Lots of flies at the time we went in the afternoon, but would go again.

    THE best lobster quesadilla of my life. Been there many times, never left disappointed. Food is spectacular. The tacos are exceptional, the taco of the month is always on point. The staff amazing, Yoli and Karen were friendly and accommodating. Shouting them out all the time!

    Very tasty dishes and drinks, especially liked the yellowtail appetizer! Had a few Margaritas, they are honest. Can't beat an ocean view for an afternoon of dining. One negative note: chaotic parking with multiple dead-end lanes and no one directing. There are no reasonable alternatives, parking is tight everywhere in Ft. Lauderdale, you must park at the Westin (hint: pick middle lane). Although not cheap, the prices represent good value for quality and quantity of services received, with a priceless outside dining view. I would definitely recommend!

    Awesome food, service, view and atmosphere. Mexican food done in a deliciously unique way. We would love to come back. The reason for the noise rating is that they are as close to the beach as you can get which means close to vehicles driving by but that’s just part of the atmosphere.

    I had so much fun with brunch! Shout out to John, yadriana, Karen, Elisa and yolani for making us live a great experience and the manager Kheyla was amazing as well! The DJ and the instruments were fantastic I couldn’t stop dancing and Nicky our server was awesome as well.

    We loved the DJ it was so fun to come for brunch. With all that has happened to the food industry the past couple of years I can honestly say Lona has done a great job with choosing a staff that cares about the customers. Karen and John 🙌🏼 thank you guys for being so welcoming. They are Top knotch. The food is excellent, served with some great sides from the kitchen. The atmosphere very nice also. To not go and check it out would be a big mistake. Easy 5 stars for this place

    Loved the ambiance - ocean view, fresh air, Cuban music. Service was friendly and efficient. Drinks were cool. But food was disappointing. Liked our guacamole with chips. Al Pastor burrito meat was sparse and dry with too much rice. Shrimp tacos had slaw and sauce dumped all over as a mess instead of being able to eat each taco individually.

    The food was less than stellar. Queso fundito seemed to be made with a cheese sauce and not just cheese which made it more gluey than gooey. Crab guac was good but crab meat on it was tiny shreds of undefinable crab. Stay with the plain guac For entrees I had the fish tacos which were huge! But filled with lots of stuff that fell off before taking a bite and had nothing to make the fish sing. The fish was a mild , batter dipped and was fried nicely. My wife had the carne Asada taco which again were huge but not great. The carne asada was more of a beef stew meat with none of that good grilled flavor that you typically get with asada. We did enjoy what appear to be fresh corn tortillas used for the tacos, fundito and the chips. Margaritas were just ok. And salsa was lack luster. Ambiance is nice but there are much better Mexican food options around and just down the street at El Vez.

    Took my parents there for they’re anniversary. One of our favorite places to go food is always great and staff is very professional But today they made the whole experience amazing the manager kheyla is always friendly and goes above and beyond to make all customers make sure that they enjoy the experience at this restaurant. But I can’t leave out Carlos our server was awesome 5 stars aren’t enough. And Elisa and Karen were sweet to us from the beginning

    It was overall a great experience. We went for Mother’s Day brunch, our server was Nicole - she was fantastic! She made sure we knew where everything was since our seats were a ways from the buffet, and was extremely attentive. The mariachi band was awesome! The food was delicious!     18% service fee was unexpected! We were served by a waiter and a hostess. Well the food: had the fish tacos. They were okay. Salsa and chips good. Iced teas had to go back as they had no flavor. We had an issue with dessert: the menu said chocolate brownie had peanuts, we asked the waitress if the peanuts were in it or do they just add them in..she said the brownie had them mixed in it. When dessert came, they just poured jarred peanuts under the ice cream. She was pleased to tell us that they put them “on the side for us.” I don’t think she understands that someone with a peanut allergy cannot have them on the same plate- AT ALL! After all, they brought us a new brownie dessert without nuts (she could have just asked the kitchen. Most restaurant staff are more careful and educated on menu items containing nuts). Overall, you come here for the view, not the food. Our waiter provided good service!
