   Stopped for a quick lunch and sat at bar. Bartender was very attentive and helpful in answering our questions. Red Beans and Rice lunch entree comes with a piece of fried chicken that was almost perfect - crunchy on outside, so moist on the inside and just the right amount of honey drizzled on top. BBQ Oysters were on the large side and almost too much for one bite. But they were very tasty. Old neighborhood tavern vibe with a couple of papers available on newspaper sticks. Nice touch for those of us that still like to hold a paper in our hands.

   Atmosphere good, weird smell in the restaurant. Fries were amazing. Meat was overcooked though and tough. It didn't seem worth the asking price.

   The food was outstanding, but the service was a little sketchy. Took a few minutes to get recognized upon arrival and then there were too few services to handle the crowd. However, the food was worth it at the end.

   Scallop crudo: should have have been served chilled, not at room temperature Crawfish omelette: it wasn’t seasoned, neither the crawfish or egg, bland Trout amandine: the trout had a slight smell to it, perhaps expired.

    Ordered the Roasted Chicken and Gumbo. Roasted Chicken with Spaetzle was average at best. You could tell it was prepared earlier in the day and reheated, because the skin was dried out when presented to the table. Spaetzle was okay. Gumbo was also okay, but we had better gumbo at a different restaurant for 1/3 of the price. Cocktails were good, not great. Upscale prices for average food.

    A friend recommended Luke and I was thoroughly satisfied with my experience. Everything was great about it from the decor to the cocktails to the amazing food. Our servers were quick, polite, efficient, and engaging. Making suggestions that ended up delightfully tantalizing our tastebuds. Would highly recommend to anyone!

    My go-to place in New Orleans. Disappointed in limited menu compared to last time I was there (or at least my favorites were missing) but the gumbo is still excellent. Definitely coming back

    Lovely workday lunch with friends / colleagues. We enjoyed the spinach salad with fried oysters, the beet salad has wonderful flavors, very good seafood gumbo, and raw Gulf oysters were so delicious and VERY chilled (which is so good)! have eaten at Luke a few times over the years and the quality remains high.

    Went to Luke for dinner while on vacation. Didn’t have reservation but was able to get full service and full menu at the bar. We had Shrimp and Grits and Baked Oysters. Food was delicious. Service was exceptional, the bartenders were super nice and helpful. Would recommend and will return when back in New Orleans.

    We were there for Luke’s famous burgers. They sat us in the back so that we could see the kitchen. My wife witnessed a cook repeatedly licking his fingers. He finally put on a glove after we spoke with the manager. Our server was subpar at best. She couldn’t remember simple requests, thus prolonging our meal. To say that we were disappointed Is an understatement. The manager was very professional in addressing our concerns.

    Fantastic experience —amazing service, great food and drinks! We were able to get seated early and had the best waitress! Try the recommended cocktails and don’t forget to ask for to go drinks!

    We arrived on time at 6:45 reservation. We were not seated until TWENTY MINUTES LATER even though there were numerous empty tables. We pointed this out to the reception staff numerous times, but we’re still kept standing in the cold entrance area twenty minutes. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE

    Too much food, but it was all so delicious. The onion tart was wonderful, but large for a 2 person appetizer. The pork schnitzel was two large piece of pork and the squid ink pasta was plentiful with shrimp and crawfish. All of it was tremendous, but we couldn’t eat it all. I hated wasting it and wished we could have taken it back to our hotel. We will definitely visit again (with an emptier stomach!) next time we’re in NOLA.

    I’ve been here 4-5 times. Worst experience tonight I’m sorry to say. Sent the oysters back, poorly prepped with no liquor in them. I don’t know if I’ll go back. It’s a shame as it’s been a regular stop for me when I’m in NOLA previously.

    This place was a great stop for breakfast! Service was quick, and food was delicious! The grits and sausage were a favorite, and the biscuits were the best ones I’ve ever had! The portions are big as well, so definitely worth a stop!

    Out of 5 of us, only 1 enjoyed her meal. The best part of dining at Luke was the convenience of walking across the street to eat after a long drive day. It was extremely noisy, the food for 4 of us mediocre, the service quite removed from us as patrons. We did not get the value out of the over $160 we spent there.

    Make your reservation on or after 10am and do the brunch menu - specifically for the cinnamon roll. Also, the Bourbon Milk Punch is the BEST!

    A disappointing re-visit to Luke. For an 8:30 reservation, service was rushed, with a very clear motivation to get us out as soon as possible. Our main courses came out too quickly after our appetizers. We sent them back, then they returned over-heated and dried out.

    Stopped by for happy hour and an early dinner on Friday! Smoked trout dip was awesome, as were the fried oysters! Drink specials were fantastic! We also had the Lenten Friday fish fry-we split between us and it was really the perfect amount! We finished dinner with the tartlet! Service was excellent all around!
