I made a booking for Saturday 29th April for three people for afternoon tea. I received a confirmation email the day before. Upon arrival, we found out that the castle was closed. We had travelled a distance and we were disappointed to find this out. No cancellation email, nothing!!! I do not understand why we could make a booking for that date and receive a confirmation email and then to arrive and it to be closed.

Highly recommend this afternoon tea at the castle. It was my second time over there and it was perfect again, with sooo many beautiful surroundings. The food was amazing and staffs are very helpful and attentive. We really enjoyed it.

Loved our afternoon tea at the Castle…we got married in the castle 3 years ago travelling over from Western Australia so it was really special to come back, staff were a real pleasure and nothing was too much trouble and it was extra special being able to look around the castle 🏰 thank you 💞🥂

Its perfect for special occasion afternoon tea, in perfect setting and beautiful surroundings. There was a table against a mirror which I don’t like, but luckily we can change to the window seats.

The choice of desserts and teas are exceptionally as expected. The vegetarian choice of savoury was disappointing a little tasteless. Service was 5* Overall a lovely way to spend an afternoon in exquisite surroundings.

We are regulars at your afternoon tea and love it every time. I had been there Wednesday 1pm seating, and Friday 4pm seating. The sandwiches on the Friday were not as nice as a selection as the Wednesday serving, but overall experience we enjoyed. We will be retuning and highly recommend

I have had the greatest pleasure of hsbjng Afternoon tea at Luttrellstown many times and cannot get enough. I rebook with different loved ones so they can experience this wonderful time spent in this stunning castle. Highly recommend, its a pure treat - staff are so friendly and helpful, food, amazing

Would like more sandwiches and scones less sweet stuff. Plates were cleared away without asking if we’d like more. Had to ask for tea top up etc. not much presence of staff checking in. Sweet stuff only enjoyed one out of four. Perhaps personal preference. One small scone per person not great. And one raisin one plain so we had to share to try both. For the price I would expect more. This is the second afternoon tea we attended this year. First was 10/10 but don’t think I will return after this experience. On a positive, all staff we courteous and friendly and surroundings are beautiful.

Had nice afternoon tea with friends. Thought there could have been some more and some nicer sandwiches. Recently had afternoon tea in Shelbourne Hotel and it was unlimited sandwiches and the selection was very nice indeed. It would have been nice to have a better selection. Other than that it was a nice experience.

It was a lovely day although I booked for a children’s afternoon tea along with myself an adult , I would if thought that a soft drink was included in the child’s selection but I was charged €3.50 for this , I was quite surprised..

Always a pleasure to be back at Luttrellstown Castle. Everything is exceptional, the food the staff the castle. We had our wedding here in October 2021 and we are making it a tradition to go to all of the afternoon teas we can to re-live our favourite day all over again. Was so looking forward to Afternoon Tea at Luttrellstown Castle but unfortunately we were somewhat disappointed. We were booked for 4pm, at 5pm my husband had to go find somebody to come take our order for choice of tea. Once tea arrived nobody came near us to see how it was or would we like some more. At 5.30 we were asked if we would like our remaining cakes on our stand boxed up. While the setting was absolutely beautiful I have to say we were somewhat disappointed with the service and felt the whole experience very rushed. On a positive note we were given treats with happy anniversary which was really nice!

The service; care and attention to detail was fantastic. The staff are tremendous- some other well know establishments in the Kildare/ Dublin area would do well to take note of what real 5 star service looks like. We will be back!

Very expensive for food. Needed more savoury food. Also should have been told of time required to vacate table. We had a table at 1. Tried to order bottle of wine at 2.30 and were told we would’nt have time to finish it as had to be off table at 3. We should have been told this at time of booking or when we arrived.

This was our second time attending for afternoon tea. I love the exclusive feel you get when you enter on to the grounds of the castle. The Gatsby themed afternoon tea was truly delicious. The room was beautifully decorated and spaced out perfectly during these covid times. The selection of teas was outstanding and every last bite was delicious, we did not leave a single thing on our plates. The staff were so welcoming and attentive.
