Whatever the taste, whatever the occasion, Mackenzie's promises something for everyone. Open Mon-Thurs from 12pm – 3pm for our Lunch Menu and again at 4pm – 9pm for our Dinner Menu on Friday 12pm-3pm for our Brunch Menu and 4pm-9.30pm for our Dinner Menu. On Saturday open 10am-3pm for brunch and 4pm-9:30pm for dinner and Sunday 10am-3pm brunch and 4pm-8pm dinner.

Mains range from woodfired pizzas, pasta, burgers, ribs and steaks to seafood and salads. Choose from a mouth-watering selection of hearty and comforting desserts with an equally diverse drinks menu, choose from a range of creative cocktails and wines with vegan options available on tap. Celebrating a no frills menu big on taste and designed to be enjoyed with groups of family and friends… however big or small. Pre Theater menu strictly runs from 4PM-6.30PM on show nights. Brunch is served Friday to Sunday please check menu times and opening times.

    I went for lunch with my friends. We had booked a table. We were seated immediately and a drinks order taken. The water for the table arrived. Then we ordered our food. We got 2 pizzas and the chicken waffles. Food arrived after 45 minutes. We repeatedly had to ask for our drinks order. We asked 3 separate staff and we were informed that it was busy and they would bring our drinks to us. It took 50 minutes from when we sat down to receive our drinks. We understand that lunchtime is a busy time but still the service should not have been that slow. The pizzas were delicious but the chicken waffle dish was not. The chicken had no taste to it and also tasted like it was just warmed up and not fresh. The hand dryer in the toilet was not working and there was no solution to this. We were impressed with the free sanitary products that they provided. When we went to pay we did inform the hostess of the poor service and she kindly did not charge us for the drinks. The staff were friendly but you could tell they were under pressure. We wouldn’t recommend Mackenzie to our friends or family.

    Was nice for a quick bite before a concert. Menu was ok, dessert offerings could do with some work, most options based around a sundae which didn't really appeal to us.

    Service was truly terrible: we were seated at a table in corner of restaurant beside wine cellar and given menus. We then sat for 30minutes without anyone approaching us even to bring water to table. Waiter on service was more concerned with clearing dishes off other tables even though we repeatedly tried to get his attention. We were only able to then order food by both waving our hands to flag the waiter down, really not acceptable! Food then arrived before drinks, we had to ask again for our drinks as they had been forgotten about. Again really not acceptable, especially as our reservation was for 6pm midweek so the restaurant was not full. Will not return

    Nice food except for the fact that there was a piece of metal in my pizza. Informed the waitress but nothing was done about it. Would have been dangerous if it had been swallowed.

    Pancakes look better than the tatse. I dont know if they cook them all in the morning and they dry out by the afternoon? Very expensive for what it is too... paid 20 euro for 2 tenders and a single waffle... not worth the trek outta the city center tbh!

    Very poor customer care! Lunch reservations tables are allocated one & three quarter hours. Had reservation for 1:15pm, arrived @ 1pm, table was ready, which was great. Food & drinks order taken @1:15but we still hadn’t received anything by 2 pm when we finally got someone’s attention. A different waiter came over & explained that our waiter was new & forgot to place our order & apologised. We said we were going to a show & needed our food asap. At 2:20pm we asked where our food was; our drinks then arrived which we sent back as we had no time to enjoy them at this stage. A few minutes later we asked our waiter to check on our food as were were hungry & getting cranky ; it arrived shortly after. Once again he apologised for his error. We asked for the bill when the food arrived. The food was good, chicken waffles, chicken salad, poached eggs/spinach & pancake stack, (which was cold) Anyone can make an error & everyone has to learn but it was the complete lack of communication and apathy by management that disappointed us. There were plenty of staff on duty but no one appeared to notice that we sat for over an hour with no food or drinks. When the bill arrived, we were charged for the drinks. My friend went up to pay and asked for the drinks to be removed from the bill & received 20%reduction but no sense of care or apology. We drove over 100 miles for lunch and a catch up with friends which was overshadowed by the unacceptable delay for brunch food. Surely our order could have been expedited in the kitchen when the error was highlighted & our drinks could have been served immediately ( they were only soft drinks) Such a disappointing experience from the initial first impression on arrival. Would recommend with a warning to keep an eye on the time.

    Style over substance as per all Press Up outlets. Terrible service. Average food (chicken salad for €21) was basic. Pre-theatre menu was the only menu on offer but was not good value. Will not be back.

    Food was very average. Nothing overwhelming, very basic. Service was good friendly staff. Drinks were fairly overpriced. Seats could be a little bit more comfortable. Overall probably wouldn't be returning

    The food was nice, bit strange that side not included with the steak. Service wasn't great. Must have been sitting for 30mins before someone came to take our order. Server when asked didn't know what the soup of the day was. I don't feel they were run off their feet that was the reason for service being so bad.

    Seated over 45mins before anyone came near us. Drinks were forgotten about, wine at the end never came, no service at all! Food and drinks amazing tho when they eventually came. Wouldn’t go back

    We had the worst experience we will never return! It was bad from the moment we arrived. No rosé by the glass, pre theatre (lacked imagination) and al a carte not available until 7pm after asking could we have it as pre theatre just a small menu not a deal! What’s the point! We ordered the buratta salad €15 and the €3 extra focaccia. It was a third of a piece of buratta a total rip off!! Chicken salad with roast courgette avocado tomatoes chorizo crumb sounded delicious haha what came out was a bowl of ice berg lettuce dripping in white sauce probably the aioli. No tomato courgette avocado. The chicken looked like the burnt scrapings at the end of a pan. The crime was a tasteless dust! The waitress answer was that all the missing ingredients were in the white sauce. Won’t fit the rest, however the manager was appalling and unapologetic we had to run to theatre. It put a total downer on our night! Never Go!

    Really slow service. Dinner wasn’t much to write home. There were 7 of us and only 1 person actually enjoyed their food. Definitely only gonna do their brunch if I decide to go back. Dinner is not worth it.

    Was presented with a clearly burnt piece of chicken that was completely inedible! I’m unsure as to how the chefs didn’t spot this prior to giving to waiters. Disappointing considering the price of the meal itself

    I felt this restaurant was completely over priced for what it is. Food was nice and waiters were pleasant but Pints are 7.20 which is an extortion.

    Nice venue, good food & service but €170 for 2 adults and 3 kids is not on. Why did you add a 12.5% service charge? Average desert for €9.50? I’d be back for the main course but the rip-off charges means we wont be returning!

    The food was not at all suitable for my age group which is 70. We order soup which was Luke warm only. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I suggest you check what show is on in Bord Gais and Design the dining experience for the age group you know wii be attending the show.
