This isn’t just a mirror. It’s a reminder of who we are. 🪞 Baltimore got first dibs on the Mirror Series by Megan Lewis (@urbanhipsta), and I’m so grateful I got to experience it in person at @atmamakokos , one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. @urbanhipsta debuted three never-before-seen mirrors that are now available for purchase. Through her paintings, murals, and experimental installations, she continues to create work that sparks conversation, celebrates culture, and invites us to see ourselves differently. 📍 Mama Koko’s 100 E. 23rd Street, Baltimore MD 🗓 On view through August 16 Want to stay connected to Megan’s future exhibitions, murals, and creative projects? Head to @urbanhipsta’s bio and join her mailing list. Which piece speaks to you most? There’s something powerful about witnessing a vision come to life — and I had the honor of experiencing the birth of this one. @ayespaceforus is not just a gallery, it’s a living, breathing sanctuary where art, culture, and commerce converge with intention. Located inside @athooperhouse , AYE creates space for bold storytelling, soulful gatherings, and exhibitions like “Amewa Allegories” by Leon Willis, on view now through August 15, 2025. In Yoruba, “Ayé” means “planet” or “space.” As an expression, she is agreement. And this space? She is undeniably that. I’m so proud of and inspired by @thesolasystem , and the intentional space she’s curated for the community and creatives alike. From striking art to sweet moments with vendors like @nikascupcakebar, this launch was filled with love, alignment, and pure artistry. Btw if you love a great cocktail, make sure you hit up @atmamakokos and try “Burnt Offerings” that @alchemically.inclined crafted. It boasts Smith and Cross Jamaican Rum, Rieger Straight Rye, Crème de Banane, honey, chocolate bitters, and Angostra bitters. This drink encompasses the depth of @_leewill work. 🖼️ Gallery Hours: Wed–Sat, 11AM–7PM | Sundays by appointment 📍Inside Hooper House 100 E. 23rd Street, Baltimore, MD 🎟️ Inquiries & bookings: curation@thesolasystem.space What will YOU celebrate here? #AYESpace #LeonWillis #AmewaAllegories #MamaKokos #HooperHouse #TheSolaSystem #SupportBlackArtists #GalleryOpening #NikasCupcakeBar #BlackSpacesMatter #ExploreBaltimore #CreativeSanctuary #community #AYEAgreement #artist #artistry #blackowned #gallery #yoruba #bmore #bmoreart #baltimore #fyp #explorepage✨ #creatives #bmorecreatives #baltimorecity #supportblackownedbusinesses #supportblackart #supportblackowned
