Nestled within the cradle of North Augusta's ambitious and visionary Hammond's Ferry riverfront development, Manuel's Bread Cafe combines the storied tradition of a French bakery, pastry and food shop with an unforgettable casual dining experience. From his hometown of Lyon, the Mecca of French cuisine, culinary wizard Chef Manuel Verney-Carron uses his exceptional artistry to extend delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner, all guaranteed to delight any palette. The seasonal menu features Manuel's twist on exquisite time-honored French dishes laden with organic produce grown from the fertile soil of our very own Blue Clay Farms, within the partition of Hammond's Ferry. The Cafe is also presenting daily "Plats Du Jour", as well as menu items available as carry-out fare for those who wish to sample the wondrous food "on the go" or in the comfort of their own home. The Cafe also offers a storefront with freshly baked bread, pastries and other items.

We have been several times and always had good food and service; except this time we waited more than 5 minutes standing in the entrance in front of the host before anyone acknowledge our presence, we had reservation. After we were seated, we had good service; there were tables available all along.

We had a work dinner for some educational discussion. GREAT atmosphere set back in the back, but not alone--perfect setting. Food and service were excellent. We will be back! Thank you!

Manuel’s Bread Cafe does not disappoint. Excellent food, great service in a warm and inviting atmosphere. It’s my number one choice for the best dining experience, whether brunch, lunch or dinner.

Well, I had high hopes for this place and we traveled from Evans to try it, but I find it to be over hyped. The bread had been warmed in the microwave, instead of the oven, and was chewy and tough. The server was slow and inattentive, the other server checked on her tablets 2x more often. There's no kids menu, so we ordered a small plate for our 7yr old and they put pepper on it. The steak frite was full of gristle and not well flavored. I hope our was just an off night for them, but as we felt the quality did not meet the price, we won't put it on our regular list.

First visit for us. We brought our friends with us. All of us enjoyed everything- food, service, ambience etc. We definitely will visit often. Thank you for a nice evening. One suggestion is add some vegetarian Dishes.
