We eat at Marmalade regularly as it’s near our home. They have good food and a wide range of options. I tried something new this time - the bbq chicken salad. It was delicious. The chicken was tender and had just the right amount of bbq sauce. The other ingredients complemented it well. It was a large salad. I ate half and took half home., which I had for lunch the next day. I got the dressing on the side which keeps the ingredients crisp for eating the next day. I usually get a chicken quesadilla which is surprisingly good. My family likes the chicken pot pie, the meatloaf, the pastas, the wild rice soup. They switch it up each visit.

This is second consecutive time that i had lunch with family at this restaurant location (el segundo). After ordering the food, it took almost 1 hr for the cooked food to arrive at our table. We just ordered simple sandwiches and omelettes . This happened in the two time i was there. I was given the excuse that the kitchen staff were too busy to take care of big group. The quality of the food was mediocre at best for the high prices we paid for them. I do not recommend this restaurant location for any lunch with family and friends. What a change in quality from prior the pandemic.

We were very disappointed in the service when I booked an early dinner for Sunday August 30th at 3:30 pm.Our disappointment was magnified because we had enjoyed an excellent breakfast there on Monday August 17th and very good dinner on Thursday August 20 (DineLA three-course meal). Perhaps our expectations were too high due to these good experiences at the El Segundo location of Marmalade Cafe. Our server was Angelica M. When our food arrived, we were unpleasantly surprised. My husband had ordered the Prime rib French dip sandwich cooked medium-rare. Instead of a side salad, he ordered an upgrade, a cup of cchicken mushroom soup. The soup arrived at the same time as the sandwich, instead of before the sandwich arrived. The good servers at other restaurants we patronize always ask if the soup is to be served first or together with the main entree. We both searched for a spoon however none was provided with our place setting. I called out to Angelica and requested she bring what was missing. She looked at her write-up of our food order, looked at the table and she could not figure out what was missing. I said he needs a spoon so he can eat the soup. Angelica grabbed two napkins containing flatware from the nearest table. However, only a fork and knife were inside. Then, she went to the kitchen and brought a spoon. Angelica never apologized for this problem. Also, she never came back to our table to check if everything was okay. In fact, a male server came several times to our table to clear away dirty dishes and bring the bill. My husband decided to eat the well-done dry prime rib, rather than complaining. He just wanted to leave this restaurant. I enjoyed eating the California lamb burger, which was cooked medium-rare per my request. We decided to skip ordering any dessert. Normally, we would have ordered dessert. The best thing about the restaurant was the clean well-lit women's restroom. We will not return to eat at Marmalade Cafe. There are plenty of others.

Our experience at Marmalade Cafe was wonderful! The food and service were both outstanding. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by such a friendly and welcoming host, and our server was equally amazing. We had a party of 10, and our server was incredibly attentive. He made sure everyone was taken care of and got all of our orders correct, which we really appreciated with such a large group. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals. The only small downside was that one of the three steak and egg plates we ordered was supposed to be cooked medium-rare, but unfortunately came out well-done. Nonetheless, it was still delicious! We came here to celebrate our baby’s baptism, and we’re so glad we chose Marmalade Cafe for the occasion. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be coming back!

Hi, the service was good yesterday. But my friend and I had a very bad taste in my mouth after paying. Normally when you split a bill, the tip is always associated with your half. Here it was off of the full tab for both people. What I had a problem with was the waitress lied and said before she handed the keypad over that luckily they always split the tip. I already thought it was weird she was saying that. Then when I saw options for $18 tips for a $50 meal I knew she was lying to our faces. I thought it was very dishonest and have never had an experience like this before. My hope is it was her last day and she was padding her tips. If not, this was not good.
