About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Romantic
  • Good for groups
This is one of the first original Moroccan Restaurants in California. It's worth the trip alone. This princely feast is furnished with low couches and large decorative pillows. The rooms are softened by tapestries covering the walls and ceilings. The decor creates an atmosphere of comfort and leisure. The meal is a feast served with home baked bread. This is more than just a meal; you can give over an entire evening to this relaxed and unique dining experience. Your full meal at Marrakech includes delicious Maghreb Salad, Harira (lentil soup), Bastilla (an amazing pastry-like dish, vegetarian or chicken), your choice of exquisite Moroccan entrees, freshly brewed sweetened mint tea, and baklawa (Moroccan pastry). Your Moroccan meal is best eaten Moroccan style -- using delicious, freshly baked bread as the ideal all-purpose eating utensil. To enhance your meal, we offer a wide selection of imported and domestic wine and beer, as well as a full bar.

Zero service. They took order and walked away for the night. Price changes from website. (Raised) Built in tip for two and asked for more tip on bill. 45 minutes to get first drink and wasn’t busy. Couldn’t see dancers from our seats. Horrible experience for visiting from out of town. Food on floor. No offer of napkins. Seats ripped. Smashed in with strangers. Music kept going in and out. Felt like stiff arm experience with little value.

Dined here before a performance at the Alcazar. This place is so cool! There is a magic show theatre downstairs in addition to a fabulous dining experience. Had the chicken bastilla and the lamb tagine with a lovely Moroccan Cabernet. The food was exquisite and the service attentive. I was there rather early so the place was rather empty, but I can see how it would fill up later on when they have live music and belly dancing. I highly recommend a visit!

The food was delicious. I ordered the chicken dinner that included soup salad pastilla Chicken couscous with vegetables & dessert baklava Everything was freshly made. I was so full I had to take some of my meal to go. Thank you it was exactly what I wanted for my palate.🍽️

We went at 5:00 because we had tickets for a 7:00 show nearby. For the whole time were there, we were the only customers...so it was very quiet. The servers were very pleasant but the service was very slow. For an appetizer, we had the chicken bastillas and they were tasty. And for our main course we each had the skewers with shrimp and couscous...and that was very good...and enough for another dinner at home.

Great food and nice surprise with appropriate entertainment: belly-dancing. Tastefully done and not a huge distraction.

We were actually VERY disappointed. This is supposed to be a Moroccan restaurant with Moroccan music and belly dancing. The “ambience “ of the night was LOUD rap music making it impossible to talk or enjoy. Very disappointing- we will never go back.

The food is amazing, even the chicken, which I don't generally think of as anything special, was amazing. The service is good, but the music is overwhelmingly loud. If you want to dance, and have some amazing food, this is a good spot. I would not recommend it for someone trying to have a quiet conversation.
