Featuring modern renditions of classic American seafood, Max’s Oyster Bar menu has something for everyone. While seafood is the focal point, there are selections for even the most ardent landlubber. Ethnic influences are apparent throughout a menu filled with new interpretations on traditional fare. The raw bar offers an extensive variety of bi-coastal oysters and shellfish.

In it’s freshman year, 1999, Max’s Oyster Bar was awarded “Best New Restaurant” by Connecticut Magazine. Since then it has won numerous Reader’s Choice Awards, including “Best Seafood Restaurant”. Zagat’s Survey has also given Max’s Oyster Bar an “extraordinary” rating.

We hadn't been to Max Oyster in quite a while..It is still the best. Never had a bad meal there, and staff is always great. We've got to get there more often!

We had a lovely dinner outside on a nice night. My husband and I shared the Mexican street corn salad and it was delicious! My husband had the scallops on the menu and I had the Lobster Bake special. Both were very good. Our dinner was enhanced by the wonderful service from Jayden. We will request her the next time we go.

Waiter, Will, was very helpful and attentive. Food was great. A bit pricey however. Nice ambiance, but noise level was high. Would definitely return.
