Overall, great experience! The waiter recommended a delicious dish and everything we ordered was amazing! I would highly recommend!
I was at maximon yesterday for what I thought would be brunch (brunch ends at 10:30) but when I found out it wasn't, my friend couldn't have anything on the regular menu because she is preparing for surgery. The bar manager Abraham who was our server did everything in his power to make sure we could stay and enjoy something. He worked something out with the kitchen for my friends dietary restrictions, and I had the ribs and oysters (excellent). The cocktail in the photo is a off menu gin and tonic..hit up Abraham, he's great!
I have eaten all over the world. This food was among the best ever. My 3 quests share this opinion, It has been several days and I can still remember the taste. Look for me after the pandemic is under control.
Beautiful. Classy. Upscale. Great for a date, celebrating a birthday or just a fun girl night out!! My fav restaurant in Baltimore! Highly recommend!
Love this restaurant! Amazing atmosphere, food and cocktails! Great place to try mezcal spirits! Also, try the raw oysters! You will not be dissatisfied!
Service is really nice. Food is all good! Beautiful view! Loving to hang out here!
Went to celebrate a 21st birthday during the pandemic. Maximon took excellent care of us and made everything so special. Absolutely would recommend times a million! All the cocktails and the desserts were incredible. The churros, tres leches cake and the passion fruit flan were all 10/10.
Great place to eat! Loved everything about it!
My experience at Maximon was excellent and the ambiance was amazing. I would recommend!!
Was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had, Covid or pre Covid. These people do it right. Cannot wait to return.
My table was right in front of the door which they kept open all night (40 degree weather). Needless to say my food immediately got cold. Food was average, I was not impressed. Service was great. I would probably only come back for the Margarita.
Veterans Day
Excellent! On the pricey side but quality very good. Portion sizes could be bigger for the price!
Food was excellent. Bar services were slow. Appetizer service and meal service was even slower. Good food and atmosphere can overcome a multitude of problems with service but it would be nice if the service matched the food
Was so excited to finally try and left feeling disappointed. Our appetizer and main course was undercooked - spicy lobster tacos and giant prawns with Adobo were raw. Abraham our server was incredible but the food was not. We won't be back.
We got the tasting menu. The food presentation was beautiful, and the service attentive, but the food was quite bland and discordant in flavor, overly complicated and underwhelming, and overpriced for what we recieved. The oysters were also supposed to be grilled, but they tasted essentially raw- gooey and wet.
Amazing food and overall experience!!!! We will be back!
I absolutely loved the Carne Asada platter! The tequila tasters were a lovely bonus to celebrate my birthday. Delicious.
I love this place, been here 3 times! The last time was the best!
We had a great recommendation for this restaurant. Drove from 3 hours PA to eat here. It was my husband's birthday, told the staff when booking. The food was great, the server got our food in time but after our meal. We tried to get his attention to order dessert only to have the server plonk down our bill. When my husband told him we wanted dessert he just walked away. Four seasons is known for their service but, not this one. Never again.
Looking for Latin American cuisine in a high end restaurant? This is your place. Beautiful ambiance, stellar cocktails with premium tequila, great service and delicious tacos.
I had the shrimp and crab taco and my friend had the fish. We had the house margarita, a Papel Picado, and a spicy margarita. The drinks are stellar!!
Waiter offered poor service. Waited extremely long for food while waiter sat behind the bar. Food came out and was cold. Drinks were watered down.
This was by far the best experience we’ve had at a restaurant in a very long time. The wait staff were very attentive, several well dressed managers checked in with us periodically to make sure we were being taken care of. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere made us feel as though we were back in Cancun on vacation, very relaxing. Totally recommend Maximón
The food was good but very high priced. But the service was terrible. For example, our water was not refilled a single time. Finally while ordering dessert I asked for more water. They Still didn’t bring any. I asked again and finally got more. The food also took forever and the portions were small.
The food Was excellent, our server was entertaining and very knowledgeable. The live music truly made the night special. The scenery made you forget you are in Baltimore. Think the beauty of Mexico at Baltimore Harbor. We will be back.
Prices seem like a hidden camera show is filming you.
The food, service and ambiance was amazing. Can’t wait to return.
Amazing setting and definitely a good vibe for the weekends. Food is great as well.
The most downside of the restaurant is the food. Three out of our main dishes are way too salted. I mean very salted. The options for the food are also limited, The food price does not match its quality. In particular for the two pond lobster, listed $105, is not worthy. The flavor of the sauce was over the taste of lobster. The scene is great and service are great.
Great food! And the ambiance of the restaurant is amazing.
I have been here before and the portobello fajitas we modified to be vegan, however, at this occasion they would not cook w oil instead of butter. Seemed like an easy switch. Also we didn’t get served drinks until after almost an hour after ordering. Guac was delicious and came right away. Not a fan of the server we had.
Food was good, but a bit overpriced for what they provide.
Excellent!
Great venue, excellent service and delicious food
The food was delicious and we were thrilled to get an outdoor table. Bundle up, it’s worth it.
The new shishito peppers are very fresh. It's a must to try the carnitas platter. Fresh tortillas awesome salsas
I loved the location, right on the waterfront - very romantic at sunset. The food was good but over priced.
The food and the ambience was everything and our waiter Octavio was exceptional and sold every plate we ordered!!! He knew how to explain the menu that made my party want to try everything on it and his description was spot on!!!
The ambience, the food, the service, everything was great. The wagyu taco was like the best thing I ever ate and the passion fruit flan was a perfect way to end my dining experience. Our server was very helpful in helping us decide what to eat and what drinks to pair with our meals. Overall great experience.
Food: excellent appetizers and entree’s. Flavorful and varied, dessert was good
Drinks: unique and interesting combinations
Music: started at 8 and fantastic
Service: pretty poor, took away silverware and forgot to give new ones each time, kept forgetting side plates, 10 minute delays between appetizers, 20 minute delay for entree especially after mistakingly bringing non veg item for one person who was vegetarian.
Our reservations were for 5:30 but didn’t get done until 9 because of the delays. But we enjoyed the music and being with friends. Truly unintentional delays but we pretended it was South American custom.
Overall we enjoyed food, drinks and music.
