Went for lunch. Very slow but waitress very good. Covid issue not resturant. Crab tacos not good but guacamole and ribs excellent
Good for dinner BAD FPR BREAKFAST
3 year cancer free // bone marrow transplant anniversary
Signature margaritas were tasty but a bit overpriced and didn't have a craft cocktail presentatio for $18. Food was average. Did a sampling of guacamole, shrimp ceviche and oysters. Shrimp was well seasoned and spicey. Oysters needed more lime than as served.
The food and atmosphere were outstanding. Unfortunately, we waited almost an hour to get our 2nd courses (small plates not entrees).
The management was gracious and comped the small plates.
Although, I wouldn’t want to wait that long again, the food was worth it.
I highly recommend Maximon for those looking to vastly overpay for food marginally better than Qdoba. The attractive ambiance fails to make up for the clumsy service. The Four Seasons struck out on this one …
We sat outside under the awning. Makes you forget you're still in MD for a moment. While the atmosphere and location are great, the food was subpar. Service was slow. Took 30 minutes after receiving our drinks to place our order. All dishes were subpar. Huevos Rancheros, breakfast tacos, 'popular' Short Rib Fried Rice and Crab Omelete were ordered. Margaritas were watered down. Gin and Tonic (USA) was okay.
Another wonderful experience at Maximón.
Service, food and margaritas were fantastic! Great location. Will definitely be returning.
Food and drinks were great. The service needs work.
A friend and I met up at Maximon and had a fantastic lunch! The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, though a bit slow with service at times. We ate on the outdoor patio and felt like we were dining at a resort, the ambiance was wonderful.
We shared an order of guacamole and split the carne asada platter and everything was amazing! The food was perfectly prepared and well worth the price. My friend ordered the mezcal margarita and said it was very strong, while I ordered the agua fresca (guava) drink which was delicious. I especially appreciated the spirit-free cocktail options!
I hope to return to Maximon again soon!
My husband and I had an amazing meal at Maximón! The ambiance was beautiful, the drinks were great (and strong!), and food fantastic! Definitely recommend this place!
wonderful setting. it felt like we were seaside in Cancun.
So good I went back 2 days later and ordered the same thing! Get the guac and carne asada platter!!!
Scrumptious food and excellent service. This restaurant is a must!
I brought my sisters here for my older sisters birthday we had and amazing time and now they see why I rave about this restaurant and service.
Nice bar, great view, great food. Overall wonderful experience.
I was so excited to visit Maximon for my partners birthday and the beautiful ambience was amazing. However from entry I was disappointed. The patio was closed and it was not raining. The music from band was extremely overbearing and noise from the patrons were loud because they were screaming at each other and drunk. The waiter did not come to our table for 10 minutes and we moved tables three times because of noise level. The waiter could not here my order and brought me the wrong drank. Then to top it off no one ever told us it was 15 minutes before kitchen closed. We did get an appetizer which was pork rib and it was delicious. It was his birthday and besides the hostess no one even mentioned it. We left the money and tip on table because no one ever came back to table. Very disappointing that a restaurant at the Four Seasons hotel would have this type of staff.
The welcome service was excellent, the delicious food and the attention outstanding.
Michael is the best bartender in Baltimore. Highly recommend the margs, hamachi, guac, giant prawns.
I think they were just having an off night, but the service was not what I would expect from the Four Seasons…this began when walking into the hotel, to the hostess, and service.
Our waiter was nice, and we were checked on. Thank you!
What I ordered (portobello fajitas) were very plain, and when I asked if I could have sauce or guacamole, I had to pay extra.
The Cabernet Sauvignon was great!
The restaurant was nice!
The $18 margaritas tasted like cheap sour mix and sugar water. The first two times I dined at Maximon, the margaritas were spectacular! Despite the steep price, we were willing to spend the money, because they were worth every penny. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the drinks were awful, and the ceviche was not fresh. I hope it’s just a pandemic-related issue, and it clears up once everyone gets back on their feet.
The food was amazing and so were the drinks. However service was terrible and to top it off, a woman helping behind the bar dropped a drink strainer on the ground, lightly rinsed with water and begin using it to make drinks. I was very angry seeing this. I tried to get our waiters attention because these drinks were being served. My drink was also made with that strainer. I told him that I’m not drinking it , could he please wash the strainer and remake my drink. He apologized and did so. Management needs to make it clear that anything that touches the floor should be washed throughly. I was thrown off after that so we left. It’s scary to think that if I had not saw that, I would have been drinking a contaminated drink. Sadly drinks went out to others.
I love this place! Everything about it is 5 stars from service to food.
I’ve been there for a dinner & I loved it, so I thought abt coming back for a brunch. The brunch was expensive for no reason & the portion sizes were very little. I don’t eat much, but I found myself ordering had 2 more plates of food. Ambiance was good.
Amazing food and great music. If you are looking for an intimate dinner, this is not the place on a weekend. Very lively music scene.
Everything was delicious. Incredible avocado toast, pancake, hamachi ceviche.
It was my second time going to Maximón, and it was fantastic. The food was amazing, the service was awesome and the vibe is great. 10/10 would recommend.
I have been trying to get reservations for a while and finally secured them for the 4th of July holiday weekend. Invited some friends and we spent the night reconnecting and enjoying each other's company. Both the foods and drinks were really good. It was good to be out and about again.
8 dollars for a bottle of water? 25 dollars for 2 tacos ? 55 dollars for 2 small lamb chops and one was all fat. Paid 50 dollars for a 10 taco platter and the rice was hard. Food not that good and waaaay overpriced. Couldn’t even order a cocktail because I have a vertical Virginia license they thought was fake so I had to order a 12 dollar horchata that was literally 60% ice in these very little cups. Would not recommend. Spent 200 dollars in total and ate a whole lot of nothing
Went for my wife's birthday, had a great experience. Really like the ambiance, the drinks, and the food is pretty good. I must say though - it's time to bring back the fried chicken tacos! That was one of the best things on the menu and it's been gone for many months now!
Pork ribs are amazing!!!!!!
Our experience was amazing. The ambience was perfect and our server, Martel, was incredible. The food and drinks were very good. Highly recommended!
Food was good, atmosphere is neat, but the service wasn’t that good. This was my second time here. The waiter seemed to be busy, but there didn’t seems to be a lot of people. The service was the only thing that was disappointing. Took awhile to get our drinks, appetizers and dinner. Overall, I’d give it a 7
It's so nice to have a restaurant serve authentic, elevated Mexican cuisine. Maximon is not your typical Rivers of Melted Cheese Americanized Mexican restaurant. This is the place I've been waiting for. Great food, amazing service, beautiful setting. I really can't say enough. I cannot wait to go back, as I want to try every single dish on the menu. My friend and I made it through six last night, so I have a few more visits before I'll get to say I've sampled them all!
Father’s Day was spectacular but the food took over an hour to be served
The staff was very courteous and professional. The service and food were excellent.
Service was slow but great server, food, and scenery!
Extremely disappointed. First, they do not have the breakfast menu from 10 to 11 available online and did not know their regular menu was not available during our reservation. When we arrived we were told that the parking lot was not going to be validated as I was told on the phone when I made my reservation, so we moved our car to valet to come to find out that it’s only discounted not validated so they are very misleading. Then it Took over a half hour to get our drinks. The food portions are not in line with the prices. It was not a good experience and I would not recommend it.
