Very disappointed. Menu consisted 90% chicken meals. No Sunday Roast. Had to wait 45 minutes fir Cod & Chips and Goats Cheese Special Pasta. The latter was very poor - it was as though it had been reheated. Had to wait 30 minutes 2 desserts. Ordered glass of wine but had to reorder as they forgot! Restaurant not busy that day. Would not go again

Food was great, we ordered the chowder which was delicious, creamy and rich. The spiced calamari which was so so fresh and we both had the fish (fresh cod) and chips. Service was good, friendly staff and the view from our table by the window - Amazing. Noise level was high and Restuarunt was busy. I would highly recommend and advise to make a reservation. Will be back again soon I hope.

We had booked a table on the basis that all the menus we saw online had two vegetarian options. When we arrived there was a new summer menu with no vegetarian main course. Nothing. We asked the waitress who spoke to the kitchen and we were offered a stir fry. We really needed something more substantial and more interesting than something we can cook in our campervan. We stayed for a drink and left. The hotel bar at Mulranny Park Hotel had three or four choices for vegetarians. We felt welcome and enjoyed a good meal there.

I've been watching the Facebook page, all the lovely dishes being posted but when I went last week for the first time since it's changed hands I was disappointed. The menu was the first thing that dissapointed me. It was just regular pub grub type meals, burgers, wraps and the like. I have no interest in a burger or a wrap especially on a sunday. I was looking for all the dishes that keep being posted. No Sunday roast on the menu which really disappointed my friend. We had a lovely table, waiter very friendly, I have to say and very polite. There was also a large party in there all ordering at once so pressure was on. For starter I ordered chowder and my friend chicken wings. The wings she said were tasty but a little dry. I thought they were ok so a matter of preference. Nice flavour. The chowder, full of fish but a funny red/pink colour quite spicy and extremely watery. It didn't work for me, a nice thick creamy chowder would have. For the main because we didn't want what was on the pretty average menu, we tried one of the only 2 specials on the board, both fish. We chose the hake. This was nice laid on a bed of caramelised onions with lots of nice trimmings, a side of creamy mash and veg with a delicious sauce for the fish. So that was a winner. Although we saw the large party tucking in to roast beef dinners and we're wondering why it wasn't on the menu on a Sunday??? We then chose a dessert we went for the cheesecake of the day which we were told was "Ferrero Roche". It came and it wasn't. It was a basic vanilla frozen cheese cake smothered in way too much strawberry sauce. Where was the chocolate? Both ordered it, both ate one mouthful and left the rest. We also had an extremely large mug of good coffee. So all in all we both were dissapointed as we had such high expectations. My companion had visited in March and she couldn't believe the difference in the menu. She said the food was incredible with lovely different dishes on offer. I'll give it one chance.

Warm and welcoming with a lovely spacious dining. The food was very good and the staff were so friendly and attentive. We certainly look forward to returning and have no hesitation in recommending Mcloughlins of Mulranny
