Overall very good. Service was polite and friendly. Food was delicious and arrived promptly. Ambience was good with a relaxed and comfortable feel. The only this would be that it did feel like the place needs a little freshen up in terms of decoration.

This is a proper good steakhouse. Excellent quality steak cooked as requested and properly. First class service from all staff but our specific waitress was Kasia and she was fantastic.

The food was underwhelming, at best. It was not hot and the presentation left a lot to be desired -basically just lumped in a heap on the plates. The steak was salty, the calamari pieces were tiny and overfried. We requested well done steak but it was overdone. The ribs were overcooked and tasted like ribs from Lidl, which we couldn't eat beyond the first few bites. It was a 40 mile round trip for us and the food made the drive back that much more of an arduous task. On a positive note, the drinks were good and the service was great.

Everyone enjoyed the meal overall although my king prawns were over cooked and hence very difficult to shell. We have been to the restaurant several times, menu choice and food quality not as good post COVID.

Staff pleasent and welcomed us with a smile. Drink and food order taken quickly. Food not exceptional but was nice. 10% service charge included in the bill, which is normal these days, so didint leave extra tip. Mother in law was there for our booking at 12 before us so must have told them it was her birthday so they served here a plate of small dessert which was a nice touch.

Had a really great experience here with my two young boys celebrating my brothers birthday. The staff were really accommodating for the kids and super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly.

We had a bottomless lunch for 2 hours, the service and food was great and so were the cocktails, the only thing that didn’t add up was that we had both had about 12 cocktails each and we wasn’t even tipsy, so I can only think there was little to no alcohol in the cocktails… such a shame as everything else was great

Lovely and attentive host Emese. She made our visit very special. Served us with a smile, was gracious and even prepared a birthday surprise for my sister. Mains were great but small plates were probably far too small. If I was to visit again, I would maybe be better off getting additional sides rather than the small plates.

Was expecting A lot more to be honest. Service was great, couldn't fault our waitress. Ambience was zero as the place was virtually empty- which makes it even more audacious to warn guests that they may be charged for non attendance. Food was cold and not cooked as requested. Medium/well came out as rare- my plate had clearly been sat waiting as the sauce was conjealed and the mushrooms were cold and tasted like rubber, I didn't finish my meal and most of it went back. Paid a lot less for a lot nicer! Won't be back.

Service charge of£17 why no mention of this. Fries instead of steak cut chips with steak. This isn't a burger joint!. Charging for sauces for steak dishes I expect this to be included and serving miniscule. Order was wrong when arrived although was rectified! Overal not impressed for the cost .

Wouldn’t recommend we waited ages for food even though the restaurant was empty. We finished our food and then our bill brought over even though we never asked for it yet and when we ignored it we was asked if the bill was ok and I had to say we wasn’t ready for the bill yet. Made me feel uncomfortable and rushed won’t be going back. Food was ok but ruined by the atmosphere and service.

Had to wait quite a while to order food, over an hour late it arrived. Food was ok. salmon good, accompanying salad leaves limp, dauphinoise potato needed seasoning. Steak hardly warm & tough, mushrooms tasteless, peppercorn soup tepid & congealed. Not worth £77 (incl 2beers/1 wine). Don't think it will be a place we will return to. Food/service not good enough.

Eight of us ladies went to Middletons Chelmsford for a 70th birthday lunch. Set price menu was a good price. Food was lovely - my only criticism was that the chicken was a little over done but other than that it was great. A variety of choices for starters, mains and dessert. I don’t think £25 per head including drinks was a bad price at all.

When we arrived we found the noise level very loud due to an extremely noisy group in full flow making it very difficult to make ourselves heard but when they left we settled back for an very enjoyable time . Can't fault the service from Lauren or the rest of the team . The food , for us, was outstanding . Thankyou
