We can’t wait to go back and try other dishes. Our waiter , Jorge, was very helpful in making suggestions that would fit our tastes. He was very attentive and we never had to look for him or flag him down. Everyone was pleasant and professional. We will go back!

The cocktails are very good and the mikhuna ceviche was great. Only downfall was the service. We ordered entree’s but never came to the table since the server forgot to put the order.

The waitress spilled water on my friend and it only got worse from there. We didn’t get our food until close to 9 pm. They brought each plate as it was ready so some people had to wait a long time for their meals. One person who ordered a hot meal, lamb kebabs, said hers was cold. Although most of the food was good, we will not be back because of the horrible service. There are way too many other restaurants in McAllen to choose from (we drove from Harlingen for what was supposed to be a special birthday dinner).

Main courses of Lomo Saltado and Chaufa were good. I will Ask for fried egg on top next time for both dishes and lime for the chaufa. The octopus skewer had a bit to much salt. The lamb skewer was perfect. The biggest hit of the night was the chocolate torte. You expect one thing but get a hint of smoke that surprises you when you begin to taste it. It enriched the dish so much. We loved the flan and the cheese cake.

                                                                                                                            Ate outside. Food was inventive and very tasty. Would recommend that outside tables have tablecloths to create a more upscale impression to match the food.

                                                                                                                            To start off, the hostess seemed to have an attitude, when we asked her why our reservation table wasn’t ready. I get that restaurants get busy but as a customer you expect to have your reserved table ready by the time you arrive. When we finally got sat down, we waited 15 minutes to be acknowledge by any of the staff, yet they were circling around other tables. We had another gentleman bring us water and he immediately said “I’m not your waiter”, we asked him to find our waiter but no one came for another 10 minutes. Oscar finally approached our table and started taking our order, we started off with appetizers and drinks but lacked the knowledge of simple drinks such as vodka soda , and a gin martini he looked at us and said I don’t think we have those on the menu, and then said I’ve never heard of those drinks. We understood they were not part of the drink menu but these are classic drinks. He then gave his pad to my friend and asked her to look for the drinks we wanted to order. To make it easier on Oscar we went with 3 vodka sodas. When we get our drinks they were vodka tonics… at this point I didn’t want to have our drinks returned so I stayed with that. 30 minutes later we get our appetizers the Goyza was delicious but the edamame was over cooked very poor quality. No one at this point has come back and offered us water or any other drink. When Oscar came back we ordered drinks again and I asked for water. He brought the drinks this time they were vodka sodas but he forgot to refill our waters. I had to ask him again. I will say that our food was good but despite everything else we weren’t impressed. We hate to be those people but we asked for the manager. Ended up speaking to the Captain who was very kind and attentive but knowing now that he was the captain he also didn’t acknowledge us in the beginning as he was waiting on the table next to us. Overall I was highly disappointed with the service.

                                                                                                                            We love the unique menu and the great service! We often go for Saturday brunch but wish they had a Sunday brunch as well. They have a decent wine list. I would suggest they change the music which was like pulsating disco and turn it down.

                                                                                                                            After a shaky start getting seated, despite a reservation, things improved when Victor volunteered to be our server. Ceviche needed more fish, but otherwise food was very good. Victor did a very good job of serving us and the beer was ice cold.
