Went for an early dinner before a play. Our server Deana (sp?) was a great resource . She answered our questions about small plates and was totally helpful as we ordered several times. Food was full of flavor and it was fun to try several things. It was my birthday and they even surprised me with a brownie before we left.

Made reservations for my best friend's birthday, we sat in the courtyard which was nice and quiet. It was a Sunday evening and they weren't busy, however, the service was very slow. Although the taste and presentation of the food were alright, nothing special, the portion sizes were very small. We had to keep placing orders because it just wasn't enough and the waitress wasn't the most helpful in guiding us towards better options. Even the entree plates were very small. There were 3 of us and the bill was very high for what we received, and we all still left hungry. We were all looking forward to the dinner, somewhat disappointing.

We went to Milk & Honey before going to see a play. We told our server that we needed to make a show, and she promptly disappeared. Our drinks were fabulous, but the food left something to be desired. The chicken entree (which you would think would be a larger portion) was laughably small. And certainly not worth the price! I'd go back here for leisurely drinks, but probably not for a meal. Not worth the price!

Though the food was delicious and the service initially started off great, we eventually felt completely forgotten about as the only inside table that evening. Our water refills became few and far in between, and an hour went by before we were able to put in our entree order after having waiting over 30 minutes for our appetizers. Our overall all dinner took 3 hours for only 2 people, and it would've only had to take 2 if the service had been more diligent.

Rich dark textures in the decor. I was there for brunch, and everything was good but the antebellum grits were out of this world. They were earthy and hearty, with loads of texture. So amazing. Friendly, low key service was very appreciated.

We were so disappointed with our experience at Milk and Honey, because we have read several good reviews which prompted us to try it out. The audio system was down, and there seemed to be a baseball game playing on the radio in the kitchen. Our waiter recommended a dish that enticed us, but we were not able to get it because it was not available (we were first people in the restaurant that morning for brunch). Two people in out party ordered the Lox, and when it arrived, it was without the caviar, which was a huge selling point sold to us by our waiter. We were not told there was not caviar, but instead, after we brought it to our waiter's attention, he reported back that the chef felt the caviar was not fresh enough, so he left it off. We were then offered something else to put on the Lox sandwich. Overall, it was an expensive experience and not a fun brunch experience. The food was mediocre. Sadly, we will not return.

Got there early (due to theatre time) and as a result, service initially was very good unlike many posted negatives here and on T.A. However, as more covers came, I could easily see that those negatives were valid. Nice atmosphere but that applies to lots of places, the entire block for instance. Food was good, not a good value-for-money however (I hate paying a lot and leaving hungry). Several items on the new menu were unavailable with nothing replacing them. Limited choices to begin with, made worse including an entree one of us would have ordered. Wine glass had strange odor, needed to be replaced. I do, however, value the sustainable, healthy local food choices and that's why I'd recommend it, but only slightly. As to us, going back? Don't see why.

Not happy that the brunch menu did not match the one on their web site and prices for items that did match were different. Hash brisket meat was tough, poached eggs done very well, bacon excellent, bloody mary sub-par. Nice basement atmosphere with wall of windows to outside.
