   Everything was prepared well, and our server was friendly and attentive. Her recommendations were spot-on! The live music was lovely and charming (the female singer was outstanding) but the volume was just over my personal comfort level for dining. I would've loved sitting at the bar and having some drinks while enjoying the performance.

   Fabulous experience. Came for restaurant week, got the prix fixe, and it did not disappoint. Strongly recommend for visitors to Montreal. The live music can be quite loud if you're next to the band, be warned, but it really made for a lovely ambian.

   A little hectic , I assume this place is mostly for tourists. Gods was good, not excellent but pretty good. Waitress tried her best to make the evening work out. Noise level was a bit too much, overall solid place with live music

   The food in general was pretty good. Particularly, the bone marrow. The music was a little to loud even though we weren’t that close to the band. Overall experience was good.

    We had a fantastic meal. The service was great and the Jazz music was spectacular. It felt a little crowded and our table was right against the stairs which was a little awkward as the wait staff were constantly coming and going up the stairs and we could hear the other band downstairs. But that wasn’t enough to tarnish our great time. We will go again!

    What is interesting about Modavie is the fact that you have 4 sections in the restaurant, therefore allowing you to choose between differant ambiances. Blues live band downstairs, and Soft jazz live band upstairs. Note that to be able to choose your place you most make a reservation because since the restaurant is busy places are limited and whitout any reservation you will be seated wherever places are available.

    Amazing dining experience in this charming bistro! My server Gaelle was knowledgeable and guided me to a perfect meal. When she said the escargot was not to be missed she did not overstate! Absolutely one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! The live music added perfectly to the ambience! A definite must visit when in Montréal!

    Modavie was a beautiful experience. The food was delicious, the ambiance, the live music. Loved it all! The mushroom risotto was amazing. Our server was so friendly, personable, and great. We appreciated how they address us by our names, as best as possible. Def recommend coming here.

    Le repas était très bon. D’ailleurs le gratin d’escargots en entrée doit être proposé en menu principal car c’est un 10/10. Un peu brouillant mais c’est juste un détail. L’accueil et le serveur est juste très bien.

    This is our third time eating at this restaurant. We can’t possibly say enough good things about the service and the quality of the food. The staff always makes us feel very welcome and immediately at home. we absolutely love visiting Montreal, and this restaurant is quickly becoming one of our favorite places in the city. Specifically, I would like to call out that Lorenzo has always gone well above and beyond to ensure we have a wonderful experience.

    C'est un bon endroit, un peu cher pour la qualité et les portions de la nourriture. J'y suis allé parce que je voulais voir le spectacle mais ma table était située dans une salle où je n'avais aucune chance de le voir. L'endroit est agréable, mais pas assez pour y revenir.

    Service was outstanding Cocktails were delicious- Margarita and “ The Mirage” Food was pretty tasty- Calamari was perfect, Caesar salad was very good, risotto was good, steak and frites were good, duck was good, crème brûlée was very good, opera cake was good! We really enjoyed the live music-the singer was very talented. Beautiful building and a great view!!

    Went early (5:15pm) and had excellent service. As the evening went on and it got busier and service suffered quite a bit. Food was good except for the chicken in the chicken caesar salad that was way overcooked and dry. Mentioned it and nothing was done. I would have expected at least a reduction in price since it was a $27 salad... Charming place, live music is a nice touch but WAY too loud for my taste. Value was fair but this was expected in trendy old port area of Montreal.

    Wonderful experience. Beautiful inside. Great waiter. The blues band was fantastic. My mother ordered the lamb pappardelle. It was delicious, my mother in law ordered steak and fries, so delicious. I ordered the salmon filet. It was very dry, almost inedible, and the potatoes I did not enjoy. The veggies were over cooked. Besides my bad dish, everything was amazing and I will definitely come back.

    Très belle place dans Vieux Montréal. La nourriture est très bonne. Les musiciens étaient très bons. Par contre, le service, bien que bon en général, est inégal: au début, très attentif et chaleureux, mais le service des plats par après se fait par des serveurs/serveuses que l’ont ne connaît pas — pratique bien courante ces derniers temps, je sais — mais qui ne semblent pas avoir reçus des consignes adéquates pour savoir où déposer quel plat. Par après, c’est du service de plus en plus rapide pour nous « aider » à terminer à l’intérieur du 2 heures que l’ont se fait plutôt gauchement dire que nous avons au tout début de notre arrivée. Malheureusement, ça manque de classe, surtout pour les prix payés. Je suis tout à fait prête à bien payer pour une belle soirée dans un beau lieu, avec un bon service et surtout dans un resto avec des musiciens. Mais l’ensemble de cette expérience n’est malheureusement pas encore à la hauteur lorsque comparée à d’autres dans plusieurs autres places semblables, non seulement à Montréal mais dans plusieurs autres grandes villes.

    Really disappointed. This used to be my favourite restaurant in the city, but the food quality has dropped dramatically. I was shocked and saddened to see the restaurant decline so badly.

    Loved the restaurant overall vibe, great hostess and waiters, delicious food. Way to enthusiastic band. Best moments when their were taking brakes. They should create an ambiance and not perform at rock concert noise levels. I will go back but not on Thursday when this band is ON
