   It felt more like over-priced pub food than the restaurant description suggests. Maybe I didn’t pay enough attention to the detail but it was disappointing. Menu was very much pub food but the quality wasn’t great (eg the schnitzel was good but no dressing on the coleslaw made the whole meal pretty bland, and the salmon was very average). Our main issue though was the noise. If you are there for the dancing with the live band then it’s great but if you’re there for dinner it’s hard to hear yourself think, let alone talk. I think it’s a perfectly fine place to go to for simple food and simple vibe - just know what you’re signing up for.

   Worst night The lady Hazel was useless in the bar. Cocktails were taking for ever to be made. The place was dead. There was no reason for them to be slow. Our friends order never went through even though they went to the bar to confirm their order. Food was over cooked Pepper gravy was tasteless Never returning

   Enjoyed my dinner of salmon and mash. Two drinks at $8 each so well priced. The hotel was very quiet with hardly any other people because of the origin rugby game.

   Have gone here a few times now but unfortunately we wont be back. We were planning to make this our work go to, but Tuesday was dissapointing. Food Quality, mix up with meals and over-priced drinks. Nice venue, the actual ambience and layout is great but you need to match it with other elements.

   Having been a patron of the Hampton of old, I looked up the new Hampton on line . As it had excellent reviews , I took my sister and her friend for a meal . We were awe struck with the quality , presentation , and service . Living at Potts Point --one becomes jaded with the confluence of fine dining . The New Hampton is up there with the best of them ; at a fraction of the price and no uppity service staff ! Good wine and good cheer . No dramas . We returned for the next three nights . Every night they have a special and one dish is better than the next . There's always something on the menu to please and a good wine to accompany it . If your looking for a good feed and a pleasant dining experience , please take yourself and friends to the New Hampton . You won't regret it .

   Gals night out to see a play decided quick bite to eat beforehand - greeted with a lovely welcoming smile - all four had the schnitzel- all cooked to perfection-& large servings the mash was to die for creamy & smooth! Would definitely go back again!

    We have been before to the Hampton pub and loved it but this was the first time back since covid and it was very disappointing, the fish had been frozen then cooked which was soggy, the schnitzel was over cooked and dry, the pie was not made on the premises and the veggie patty was store brought. It was not busy so I understand that they don't want to waste food but we will not be back until the standard of food picks up, because the place it self is fantastic with great view etc.

    Great spot, great pricing, good vibe. The schnitty was quality, the margaritas were amazing and well priced, and the schooners were also delicious. Amenities lovely, and sport on the tv. Too good.

    The atmosphere is the same, the drinks good and reasonably priced. The staff were super lovely and helpful. The new menu isn't as good as the old - the vegetarian options like the once moist and exceptionally delicious mushroom burger have gone from amazing & worth-visiting-for to a meh and typically dry falafel burger (falafel works when it's with all the other stuff in a wrap or salad- hummus, tabouli etc - it's always dry, blah and wrong in a burger {especially in a non-Middle Eastern place where it's always better}). Same with the vego ravioli - meh was the consensus. The meat options are still good as my companions attest to, but as a vego I won't be going there regularly for a burger fix anymore.

    We dined 26 Nov 2020. We ordered 3 different meals & all were excellent. Very good covid-19 set-up at the door. The staff were friendly. And prices pretty reasonable. We ordered the salmon, beef stew & ribs. All great.

    We had a lovely time at New Hampton. The service was fantastic and the food was tasty and plentiful. The structures in place re.covid were made known and staff were on top of ensuring everyone felt safe in the environment. The atmosphere and furnishings were comfortable and modern.     Great atmosphere and service at the New Hampton. The changes due to COVID19 means limited numbers and bookings required. The new table service is great where the staff is friendly and efficient. The food service is still very good with all the usual pub food done with flair and quality above all the other pubs I've tried. More like a good restaurant without the formality. It can take a while for the food to arrive but it's so relaxing even that wasn't a problem. It continues to be my regular venue for a catchup with friends.

    I was staying near Kings Cross with a group of work colleagues. We booked for 20 at the New Hampton two nights in a row. Everything was relaxed and excellent. Great value for money and people could pay for their food and drinks separately. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

    It was a horrible service experience. Bartender made you seat yourself, come up to bar to order and good luck if you wanted a refill on a drink. Food was decent enough but would probably not go back.

    I’m now a big fan of the New Hampton. I used to visit when the Cross was a little more colourful. The laid back and tasteful new arrangement is right up my alley. Definitely the best Happy Hour drinks in Sydney central and the food is top class. I never eat burgers, however after sampling the NHH burger, I’ve changed my mind Go there and you’ll see what I mean. 5 stars

    Chris was amazing; so kind and helpful and wonderful. Food is huge and tasty. Really quick service and good wine list. I ordered the Ploughman’s platter, it was MASSIVE.
