Housed on the first floor of The LINE DC Hotel in the heart of Adams Morgan, No Goodbyes is an all-day neighborhood hangout that taps the farmers, fishers, and small-time ranchers in DC’s own backyard—The Chesapeake Bay & Mid Atlantic Region—to create an eclectic mix of feel-good dishes morning, noon, and night, all by Chef Phil Marzelli.
Choose your own way to dine from several distinct menus and spaces (a restaurant, bar, communal lounge, and counter-service coffee shop); so no matter what time of day it is, there really is no need to say goodbye.

The service needs to be reviewed. Our cocktails arrived at the end of our lunch. The waitress was kind enough to offer us a glass of prosecco as an apology.

Went for the valentines menu again this year as it was really incredible last year. First course was awesome (esp. Burrata and pears), second/main was fairly unimpressive and gnocchi were very oily and salty, dessert was solidly good. There was a live DJ which wasn't expected that was very loud and made it difficult to talk to my partner even on the opposite side of the room. Value wasn't great as I felt that the main meal could have been from anywhere and wasnt really worth the cost. Probably won't be returning for dinner as I heard they got a new chef recently

Beautiful space in the Line hotel, a century old building in neo classical style that was once a church. Souring ceilings, an amazing light fixture made from the pipe organ, other architectural elements from the church throughout. Bar area is gorgeous and tables settings are welcoming. It is very loud because of the space acoustics. The food was good but not super flavorful except for lots of red pepper which we found overused. The staff was exceptionally friendly and service overall was excellent. The meal was very expensive and not a good value. And it was $35 to valet park. Definitely park somewhere else. We might be back for a drink sometime because the ambience is cool but probably not a meal.

We really appreciate you coming in and giving us a try; and indeed we are very blessed to be in such a great building. I hope you'll come back and give us another try sometime; when you do, please ask for your Valet Parking to be validated here at the restaurant (brings cost down to $16). I ate here 3 other times with large groups and this occasion, with a 6 top, was by far the worst. The service was inattentive and aloof. The waitress only came to table to ask what we wanted to order. After the food arrived, she did not ask how anything was, ie appetizers or the Steak being overcooked to well done. She only appeared again to ask about dessert. She seemed only interested in taking orders, running up the tab, and not being friendly. She also did not mention the 20% tip included in the charge until we asked, after she already ran the credit cards from her handheld device. Moreover, she did not show us the itemized totals, which also did not appear in the email receipt. Lastly, The bartender was dancing behind the bar, having a good time, while we waited a very long time for drinks. Overall a poor experience. I will likely not return and do not recommend.

Kinda an odd place. The restaurant is in the lobby of the hotel so guests were walking past the table regularly with luggage. The hotel is apparently dog friendly so lots of dogs which were not always well behaved (barking) and on the furniture. The food was disappointing too. The vegetable hash was not much except spicy potatoes with one egg. The yogurt was also disappointing. On the positive, the prices are reasonable and the service was friendly.

Our server was barely attentive; we were brought the wrong drink. We also waited near 30min for a refill on water. The restaurant was also barely busy during that time. Had we been asked about more drinks, we would have been open to it. I don’t think I’ll be back. The duck sammy was just fine.

The food was excellent. Cocktails were phenomenal. We ordered apps at the same time as dinner and it all came out at the same time, so space out your orders to avoid that. I wish they didn’t use the app payment system because it’s awkward with the waiter standing around waiting for the table to decide how they’re going to pay rather than leaving a check and giving us a moment. It’s a little pricy. Will go back for drinks and apps soon!

I loved the vibe at No Goodbyes on two previous occasions, when I sat in the main dining room and enjoyed a varied menu. This visit, we were seated in the bar area with a more limited menu, which I initially assumed was just bar snacks. While the food and service remained excellent, I was slightly disappointed not to be in the main dining room (which was devoid of diners) and not to have more choice. I assume the restaurant was tightening its belt and hope it continues to thrive as a funky neighborhood hot spot.

Although our service was excellent, our second visit to No Goodbyes was extremely disappointing. Having been impressed the first time we dined there, my husband and I brought five others with us to celebrate several birthdays. When three of our party received their entrees, the other four of us did not but insisted that the others go ahead. This proved to be sage advice because one entree arrived about 15 minutes later, and the other 3 not for over 25 minutes. This left huge gaps of time in which some were eating while others were waiting hungrily or staring at empty plates. While our waitress apologized profusely and brought complimentary glasses of champagne, it did not change the situation, no manager ever approached us, and no adjustment was made to our bill. In addition, the menu had just one vegetarian option for an entree, which was broccolini that probably amounted to about 200 calories but was priced as a regular meal. The entire experience cast a pallor over what should have been a more festive occasion, and we may be saying farewell to No Goodbyes.

Took Mom and Dad here on Mother’s Day, food could not have been worse! A year ago I feel like it was great, no idea what happened. Lettuce not cleaned, crunchy, hacked up carrots beneath a mushy piece of rockfish, rigatoni, crudite cut cauliflower and crunchy raw ramps sitting in a half inch of watery broth that tasted like white onions, everything tasted like it was turning bad, server had zero knowledge of menu; will not be back.

Mother's day brunch=not good. Poor service. Cold cinnamon roll for a starter brought with main meals. Forgot "mom's" mushroom frittata, then brought it out late and lukewarm. Undercooked and overspiced vegetables in the root hash. Beautiful space, wish the food and service were even decent, but they weren't.

baseline for a restaurant.. warm food - unfortunately a big disappointment for brunch. the restaurant was quiet when we arrived, only 3 tables of people.. perhaps this should have deterred us, but we braved the dark room on the lower level of the hotel to see if we’d be pleasantly surprised. we ordered 2 starters, both came out cold. the server let us know that the cast iron cinnamon bun was in fact supposed to be warm - a warmed skillet came back with a still cold cinnamon bun… the flavor was good but someone just heated a skillet and put a cinnamon bun from a shelf in there. we managed to have a good laugh over the cold bun. The biscuit was another good one… a cold biscuit with a dollop of butter, blue cheese.. and very good jam. I wish I took a photo of how it came out. Good thing we were in a good mood, it was sad & funny all at the same time. the cocktails were unfortunately sour, we didn’t even finish them, paid our bill & went to a nearby restaurant instead. Total waste of $90 but we had a good laugh & hopefully it was just a bad day for them; but a definite a goodbye to no goodbyes for us.

Eggs were very over cooked, portion sizes didn’t make sense- some too large, some too small

We were seated fast but they seemed understaffed. First round of drinks came out pretty quick. Food service was a bit slow, but overall good taste. I liked the duck Rueben. Service was pretty inattentive after dinner came out.

Outstanding service. Setting is a bit dark. But spacious.

We came here on our anniversary and had Jeff as our server. He made us feel so special and taken care of. The food and service was top notch!
