Welcome to the No.1 Bar & Bistro. Located within the Queens Hotel, one of the city’s largest independent hotels, in the bustling heart of Brighton seafront, we are the ideal place to enjoy a relaxed afternoon or evening with cocktails, a nice wine, good food, great views and even better company.
Chef Harvi and his team have designed a new all day dining menu for the Autumn/ Winter period showcasing the a fresh and tasty new look.
We are proud to say that we offer a vegan menu running alongside our all day dining menu. We firmly believe Veganuary should be for the whole year and not just in January and give you all the freedom to choose.

The menu covers a variety of tastes. I chose the chicken wings to start, followed by sirloin steak then salted caramel cheesecake. All were well-presented and tasty. The service was excellent; attentive but not intrusive. I would happily eat there again.

Although the fare test we enjoyed was quite good and the staff were very friendly, the reason that we chose to eat at The Queens Hotel Bistro is that their website boasts and displays a specific vegan menu. This (we were told upon arrival) was no longer available and the website was out of date. We’ll UPDATE IT - it is still showing on your website!

Found this as we were staying in the hotel. Booked the day before and everything was ready for us for 1oclock and we were shown into the lounge off the lobby by Georgina who was so friendly. Tasty sandwiches, lovely scone and delicious cakes. Plenty of food - we even took some home with us. All in all a great, value afternoon tea :-)

Food was excellent, although took about an hour to receive. Service was lovely. Table was sticky, I think they put the wrong finish on it. It was a lot quieter than the beachside restaurants which was perfect since we had our parents visiting.

On a really busy day in Brighton this restaurant was pretty empty and we found out why. Despite having booked, the table was not ready and was really sticky. We set our own table then left after no one came over to even order a drink after 20 mins. It seemed like other diners were experiencing similar problems. The menu looked fine but we never got to try it!
