   Dessert Shave ice with Melon, there is rice cake in the dessert but very tough. And Homemade mochi it doesn't taste fresh and the skin of mochi taste like dumpling skin. Squid Pasta, we ask the waiter how its done, she said chef cut the squid and look like pasta. But when it came the Squid cut very big. We thought like pasta noodle, but the taste not good either. Other food was good, Sake was good.

   I waited with anticipation for the opening of Nobu @ The Four Seasons. While the ambience and service was great, unfortunately the food was ordinary. The California maki was bland, the fillings in the tacos didn’t stand out so it’s like eating just taco chips, the recommended yellowtail jalapeño was nondescript, the salmon new style sashimi was drowned in sauce which still needed some soy sauce + wasabi to go with it. The only dish that was yummy was the black miso cod. We finished 2 large sakes and decided not to continue. On a Friday night, another gentleman and us were the only ones at the counter, to my surprise. Pity, I have always enjoyed Nobu, in NYC, Melbourne, Vegas, Sydney. It didn’t help when the Japanese chef at the counter, apart from telling us he is from the Las Vegas outlet, didn’t do much on recommendation when we asked. Unfortunately, all the hype and glamour for the SG outlet may not bode well when the food doesn’t justify the cost and don’t deliver on taste.

   Food was excellent. Service was poor, having eaten at Nobu in Malibu, London and Dubai the service at Singapore was not to the same high standard. Music was too loud, could have been a bit quieter because as a table of three it was difficult to have a conversation clearly.

   For first timers going to the hotel, there needs to be directions or some signages leading the way. We hardly found any staff to help wit the way to the restaurant, and after reaching the 3rd level also we were wondering which way to head to the restaurant.

   Excellent food and service. A bit sad however that the place closes early (10:30pm) and you feel quite forced to finish it all fast...

   Ordered the wagyu, sea urchin, cocktail on top of the recommended cold and hot dishes but I would say only the miso black cod was good (had to order white rice because it was salty). The rest of the food was meh, nothing special, not worth the $500 bill for 2 pax.

    Food is underwhelming and incredibly overpriced. Although we were still hungry, we were not motivated to sample more dishes and skipped dessert. Service lacked warmth and attention to detail. Incorrect food was delivered to our table, we waited m over 20 minutes for our sashimi and there was no service recovery. How disappointing.
