In 2019 we opened Oak & Apple! Its upstairs above The Good Room Cafe which is another of our babies! Opening at 5.30 each evening serving an innovative eclectic small plate dining experience. The concept behind Oak & Apple is very simple, small plates of local Irish food bursting with flavor, small enough to taste a few different plates but big enough to share. There is no such thing as starters & mains instead we serve small plates. We put a lot of thought and love into each dish but its not just about the food. We pride ourselves on the wine list. Its a wine bar after all. Lots to choose from by the glass or by the bottle, organic featuring strongly, we feel we have something to offer everyone. Staying local we serve a lot of craft beers, ales and ciders from around the country, Treaty City being a favorite. Its basically a small boutique wine bar that you have to visit tucked away in the roof of a building in Adare (that's very very old) that was once a tobacco factory !!!

Booked on open table recieved 2 email confirmations and a text on the actual day, saying text back 1 to confirm or 9 to cancel. Texted back 1. Arrived at Oak and Apple to find it in darkness and closed! Tried calling the number, no answer, left voicemail, no reply. Terrible.

The food was excellent. However it was very quiet for a Friday night (only 3 tables seated at 8:30) and despite accepting an 8:30 booking, when we asked for the dessert menu after our main course we were told the kitchen was closed for dessert and they had not notified us in advance.

One of my favourite places to dine out in Adare always a lovely vibe & great wine list , cocktails menu , serving fresh locally sourced ingredients interesting small plates with charcuterie & cheese boards a standard staple ..deserts are literally unreal tried all 3 and wow !! The ideal spot to enjoy leisurely nibbles with wine or cocktails !!

The food was amazing. Our table was by the window, it was very cold, we had to wear our coats throughout our meal. The staff were lovely although you could see by there actions they were inexperienced, when our drinks eventually arrived to the table one our guests had some of it dropped on his lap. Looking around the room we weren't the only table with this issue.

We had a really enjoyable meal at Oak and Apple, the food was delicious, service was very friendly but staff were a little under pressure, probably could use an extra pair of hands on a busy weekend. It's a lovely cosy upstairs restaurant with cool tunes in the background. Good to see it open again we will definitely be back.

The place is lovely and nice ambiance. The wine is good. But I do think the food is quite average. The meat platter was very small for 30 euro and was all cold meats which I didn't expect. The butternut squash is a half squash and is okay but seems crazy to charge 18 euro for it. I think the food was okay but not living up to the cost or menu description. Our waitress unfortunately couldn't tell us what each thing was and was quite rude when we didn't want dessert despite spending 150 between two people for the meal.

Amazing food, could not fault it. The venison is to die for. I would suggest going in a group and sharing everything. We tried one of each of the share plates and boards. All fantastic. Scallops and venison won it for me though. Great wine and cocktail menu too!

I was in the Oak & Apple recently for dinner, the food was outstanding. Love the small dishes that are just bursting with flavours, and the doughnuts!!!

Very pleased with the ambience and service provided. The chef was very creative in using familiar Irish flavours and ingredients into something different. Plates are small and for sharing as stated but pack a punch in terms of flavor.

I booked The Good room for my husbands birthday, we had been before and loved it, two of us ordered the French toast with bacon, but we had to return it as it was raw in the middle. The waitress was lovely and there was no issue it was just disappointing & It would have been nice to be offered fresh tea/ bacon with our new breakfast as they were cold, we didn't mention it on the day as everyone seemed stressed and busy, we just paid and left.
