We’ve loved that place, coming multiple times a month, always sat at the bar, loved our bartenders, but unfortunately found out they were closing down. All the best to everyone there, you were fantastic.

The location was nice. I had a 2pm reservation arrived early and that's what I told the young lady and of course she had to mention it again, "You arrived early." I overlooked that. I was excited that they could get us in early. The waiter was not as attentive. He never bought a coffee and when it was brought to his attention, he said why didn't you tell me. How about an apology. It really wasn't that bad. We were having good conversation and enjoying each others company. The food was great.

We went on Mother’s Day and of course they messed up only my mom’s order! Usually love this place but the food was bland.

Very good as always. We’re there 2-3 times a month, and it’s consistently great. Good food, great service at the bar. Only thing, we’ve gone through the whole menu, we’d love to see a couple of new items. Can’t wait to go back.

On a recent visit to Austin, we decided to check out Oakmont Food Company, based on existing OpenTable reviews and were excited to see what they had to offer. We arrived about 5:15 and the place was nearly empty. We sat at the bar and ordered a round of drinks - I had the "Strawberry Fields" and she had the "Lavendar Martini" - both drinks were EXQUISITE. They make "Strawberry Fields" with strawberry and simple syrup and it does an excellent job of producing a refreshing Gin drink. We then ordered an appetizer - beer cheese pretzel and a salad. While the pretzel was good, it was nothing exquisite. The salad was heavy on lettuce and for some reason packed with hidden jalapeños (something to know if you dont like spicy food). We ordered the "stuffed chicken" as our main entree - and again while it was a decent portion and an ok meal, it was nothing special. Again, quite a bit spicy for our tastes but all in all a decent meal. Overall this place is "decent" and there is nothing "wrong" with it, but the photos and the online reviews make it sound like a 5 STAR executive chef is behind the grill, which I do not believe to be the case. The prices are a little high for the 'average' level of food, but the atmosphere and the service are good. All in all, I would give this place about a 7 out of 10. Not terrible, just nothing that was overly impressive.

I absolutely love Oakmont! Their food is delicious every time. My favorite things to get are the breakfast plate, gluten free pancakes, and the redfish. It’s great when you can tell the staff actually likes each other and gets along. Oakmont has become a staple for me and my partner.
