Amazing food and atmosphere . Was busy but sadly our waitress was delayed and/or never brought our drink order . Also forgot side orders with main meal
My main disappointment was the food. I ordered fish parfait for starters which looked like whipped cream and with very little taste. The fish pie was nice but not enough fish and too much potatoes in the mix. This came with some leaves but it would have been better to have a proper side order with this which maybe should have been suggested by the waitress. Summer lemon mousse was not very tasty. For such a nice venue, pity the food was poor.
Gorgeous food and great atmosphere and customer service
Service was good. Food was average. Price didn’t represent value for money. Wines overpriced.
Fantastic place to have both a quiet night or celebrate a special occasion, the folks were just so great to us.
Staff were very attentive, refilling our water, bread etc. Food was as per usual faultless. The arancini and the smokehouse burger were very tasty. We were a table of 6 and all dishes were lovely. The portions are just the right amount as I hate leaving a restaurant feeling like your going to explode. We didn't have dessert on this occasion but each one on the menu sounded delicious. The bar staff are so interested too about each drink that they make. They can make any cocktail you like if you dont fancy anything on the menu, but I think it would be hard not to find something you like. Looking forward to getting back there soon.
Our server was absolutely lovely. Great table. Lovely ambiance. I didn’t enjoy my main course which was the only vegetarian option on the menu.. it wasn’t nice. I added a side of fries to try make the best out of it but next time I’d probably just opt for 2 starters instead. But we had a great night!
We’ve eaten at Old Street multiple times now and it’s never failed to deliver delicious food and cocktails. Highly recommend the Pretty in Pink, hazelnut tart and the Cote de boeuf
We had a lovely evening on Sunday last with our 1 year old. The atmosphere was so casual and calm, staff were brilliant and so friendly with our little man. They made sure there was enough space for us and our high chair to not feel in the way of others.
We enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal with wine for a very reasonable price, considering the service, quality of food and surrounding's you are immersed in.
We love Old Street and will be back soon.
Lovely food, good if a little over attentive service
Top class in every way! Phenomenal atmosphere and staff. Food was delicious.
Everything was lovely except - hardly any fish in the fish pie 😏. And although the Eton Mess was good it wasn’t the big dolop of cream strawberries and meringue that one expects when you say Eton Mess😞. Also I but on my booking that it was my mums birthday, (as you did ask) and could you do a candle in desert or something simple. Nothing happened 😞. Otherwise I really like the place.
Great ambience and service was wonderful. Main course of shared cote de boeuf was tough and chewy, but staters and desserts were fab
Service and food was excellent. Really looking forward to our next visit. The Friday night menu was great value.
Perfect service, great food in a very cosy atmosphere. It is no coincidence that this restaurant is in the Michelin guide.
Very well deserved.
Alessia and Philippe
Nice restaurant, kids friendly with lots offers.
The Sunday roast is amazing!
Really good restaurant. Staff very friendly and engaging. Food very imaginatively presented. We will definitely be back and we have told all our friends about our experience.
There was an issue with our mains - my husbands arrived and had to be taken back and then long delay before both weee served.
Crème brûlée was not set!!
Otherwise evening was enjoyable
excellent food and the service was 2nd to none. Would highly recommend.
Fab food and the service was great, very friendly staff would definitely come back even just for the banter
Great service, varied menu, great place, definately would recommend to people
We had a lovely meal here. Food was lovely and service was friendly and welcoming.
The restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We were last minute guests and they found a way to accommodate us. We took a seat at the window to enjoy watching the sunset and passerbys. We absolutely loved the place: the food was excellent, so was the wine, and the prices seemed fair.
This is my second time eating here, we went with the neighbourhood menu both occasions and it’s just delicious, great value, great choices and perfect portion sizes.
Staff really friendly and helpful.
I’ve heard great things about the Sunday carvery so this will have to be my next visit.
All round lovely and enjoyable dinning experience
Extreamly tasty ! Loved the cocktails ! Perfect for an occasion
Unfortunately the food really let it down - the menu was very limited and what we ordered was very poor standard. The staff however, were very friendly.
A lovely restaurant with very pleasant and helpful staff. Very accommodating to children also for Sunday visita. A very nice menu which is very reasonably priced. Overall it was a great afternoon and we will be back.
I love this restaurant, be it for a family meal, a casual drink with a friend or a date. The staff are so attentive, the food is interesting and delicious.
Fantastic food in a beautiful setting and very reasonably priced. We had the Sunday lunch which was spectacular! X
Excellent food & service was particularly good
Very enjoyable evening - food was fantastic - would like to see a more extensive A La Carte menu.
We had a beautiful meal in Old Street again and created a tapas table for ourselves with their seafood starters. Food was fab especially the prawns, a must-try!! Gorgeous bottle of Pouilly Fume and few cocktails at the bar finished off a wonderful night. Great atmosphere and wonderfully friendly staff.
I love the food and libations at Old Street. I stopped in for a solo meal (the food where I was staying was...uninspired...so I made the drive over to Malahide). Food was great as ever, but sadly there was a large party seated adjacent to the bar seat where I was...and they were LOUD. Happily I had a set of headphones handy. I watched a documentary about Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Review while I ate a delicious meal and drank a yummy cocktail. Moral of this story? Always ask when booking whether there’s a party going on in the room where you’ll be seated...but also? Eat a meal at Old Street Cafe! It’s worth the drive!!
Tried the Friday Supper Club menu. Couldn’t fault anything. Good wine offered with the 3 course meal. Great service with a smile and good atmosphere in the restaurant. Will do that again!
I highly recommend Old Street for the excellent food and ambiance.
Great food and lovely welcome, Matthew is a real star he looked after us and was an engaging and bright young man, a real asset to the restaurant...ray wing and red snapper were very good.
Felt food was a little overpriced. Poor range of menu choices. Little to no atmosphere.
The restaurant interior is nice, stylishly decorated, spacious, clean toilets etc. the service was quite good too, but the food was really hit and miss. We were a party of 4, we got starter and main course and some dishes were good but some not. I ordered lamb pie, that had 3 small pieces of lamb and what it felt like a jar of marinated cocktail onions inside, considering that the place is pricey, you expect all dishes will be of same quality.
Lovely evening with family! Really nice Wine List, wonderful variety of menu selections. Our Vegetarian guest was very happy with the offerings and it was so nice for one of our party to enjoy a casual burger with chips while another ordered the Chefs' special of Ray Wing - different ends of the spectrum but both done perfectly. The service was outstanding, Laura was very thoughtful and looked after us as very well. Desserts were amazing! The restaurant was quite busy so it was a bit loud and full of energy, but we didn't mind too much!
So fab as always! Thanks for such a great day & for taking such great care of us!
