We travel the world and have gone to many restaurants. Based on the description was expecting something different. The food was not that good.
The waiters were nice - but not Irish! Given that this is touted as an Irish establishment, I would have expected at least one greeting with an Irish accent. Never mind. If the food would have been decent, that could be overlooked. The food was just about edible, that's the best I can say about it. Don't order the Irish stew, the meat was chewy and frankly, I couldn't be bothered to finish grinding my way through it. It was my friend's daughter's birthday so she ordered some chocolate cake - which was so stale you could hardly put a fork through it. And it was the same price as the restaurant we'd been to the evening before which was superb. So well overcharging for what you got.
They did not honor the reservation. They say your cannot make reservation online. If so, they should not use the system. In the end, is seems like just a tourist trap.
Reservation made was not honored. We never ate there as they sat a walk in before us; even though we had a confirmed reservation on open table. Would not advise using the app to book and to call restaurant directly.
Was v disappointed had lunch at 1.30 on a Saturday and place was completely empty. Service couldn't fault. Actual steak was nice but baked potato small and onions were awful salad came full of dressing. Food bland and no atmosphere so didn't hang around. Would never go bacK. I didn't point any of this out on the day and shoukd have really.
Awful quality of food. Steak was inedible, and side was manageable only because I was hungry. Ruined the first evening in Dublin.
Lovely small romantic restaurant, full of character, the girl who served us was friendly had very good customer focus. The food was good size portions, well prepared and good value for money. We would definitely go back there again.
Really lovely meal and very friendly and attentive waiting staff.
Excellent value for money and in a great location, very central. This is a small restaurant so I would say make sure you book ahead.
Excellent traditional Irish food ... traditional Irish pub.... first time in Dublin didn't disappoint .
Here on new years eve. Small venue with alot of tables close together. Service was great and food was ok. Home made good, regular food.
Would visit again.
The service was terrific and the stews were very good, but the fish was mostly breading and the fish mushy. On the main, still a very pleasant restaurant for a more quiet dinner atmosphere than the typical Temple Bar establishments.
Absolutely fab meal. The steak is probably one of the best I have eaten in Ireland. Delish
We had a very pleasent meal here. Even though we went on the bussiest evening before Christmas we got a Nice table , and enjoyed both very good Food and drinks here. A Place I
will visit again when I come to Dublin.
Lovely restaurant. Great food and really friendly staff.
Irish at its best
Comfortable dining room, friendly staff, service very prompt and food exceptional. Must say the steaks are scrumptious and done exactly as customer asks. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to family and friends.
Always enjoy the steak dinner we have here. Steak, chips, sauteed onions and a side salad! You would be stuffed. Love eating here, and the staff are always so welcoming and friendly
Nice food with very friendly staff,,,only downfall was the price of drinks,,,€5.50 for a SMALL glass of Heineken WTF!!!
Went here with my wife & kids during a wee trip to Dublin for my daughters bday. Customers from every corner of the world and all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Really relaxed restaurant with great food and excellent service. I had a Groupon too which meant the normal reasonable prices were even cheaper again 👌
The service was very slow and the food was very bland. Our table was uncomfortable - seating was very tight. Overall very disappointed.
My wife and I were visiting Ireland for a week to celebrate our Anniversary. We had splurged the night prior for a good but drastically overpriced steak & Lobster meal in the Temple Bar area so we were looking for something a bit more affordablexpensive. We ran across O'Shea's looking around on Google maps and liked the menu and prices so decided to give it a shot despite only having 3.5 stars. The rating was not accurate and deserves a higher rating. My wife tried the Salmon and it was absolutely delicious. I tried the mixed seafood plate and it was very good. We spent significantly less and enjoyed the meal so much more than other overpriced restaurants in the area.
Guinness Stew was amazing! Really warm in the restaurant and not a lot of space surrounding the tables.
Very nice fish & chips and my daughter loved her beef Berger, and of course the Guinness!
Did not enjoy, food was overcooked and overpriced, even with a groupon
Of the 5 wines, 3 were unavailable, and the wine glass was dirty. The plates and furniture was mismatched.
Very twee, and a tourist trap, everyone around us was from a different country and I felt bad for them. Terrible place, in a fantastic location, it could be amazing if they made a tiny bit of effort
