Osteria Lucio has a very refined menu that experiments with Italian cuisine with outstanding results.
The personnel is extremely professional and the service is spot on.
I had dinner in their covered terrace, which was heated and comfortable.
A bit more effort could be put on creating an atmosphere (softer lights, table decor, different music) to compliment more appropriately the experience, which other than in this detail does justify the price tag!
Love the changes to the menu. Looking forward to my next visit.
Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this time. The food was very disappointing. The menu was very different, few choices, very small portions, with all ingredients/vegetables chopped up so small on a big plate and way over priced. I thought about holding an event there, but it was a very different experience this time from my first. We will not go back.
Food just ok, nothing to write home about. No pizza available as they have no pizza chef at the moment.
There are better Italian restaurants around.
Would not be rushing back anytime soon.
All courses that my wife and I had were delicious, starter, main and dessert. Service was attentive, but not intrusive. We will certainly eat here again. Highly recommended.
food and ambience really lovely but service extremely slow and let whole experience down.
Really limited menu and food was only reasonable
Experience was fantastic from start to finish.
The restaurant was accomodating with our booking to be outside, and the table was not too cold to sit on the terrace while at the same time well ventilated.
They were willing to tailor meals to people's dietary requirements and tastes. All those who attended loved their meals.
The merlot that we picked was a gorgeous pairing with my lobster tagliatelle.
Thank you very much to Osteria Lucio for a lovely night all round.
Service was excellent, wine was very expensive. We had a starter of grilled peach and buratta which had half a peach and small buratta, very poor value at 14e. Very limited selection for one of the party who was vegetarian. We sat at the outside section and every time the door was opened it banged shut, it was very loud
Food really is exceptional and unbelievably improving at every visit. Very high quality fresh ingredients extremely well prepared. I recommend leaving room for dessert.
Over powering sauces for delicate octopus, small portions big prices, the “saffron” rosotto with a piece of tough meat on top tasted of salty parmesan and the meat was tough( the osso bucco). Wine overpriced by the glass. An italian eaterie touched by a michelin star chef it wasn’t!
Lovely welcome. Having eaten here 3 years ago we were excited to return. Service was good however the portions were small and overpriced compared to our last visit. The menu was limited with no pizza options. Very disappointing and will not return
Very limited menu, expensive and food just ok. Wine menu just
Italian wines and very expensive, the wine we got was 39€ and not very good.
Would not recommend and will not be back.
Staff very nice and attentive.
Osteria lucio Is the perfect spot if you want to spend a night with good food. Recommend it for a special occasion.
OL's food is fantastic but the staff make it a great experience - not overly attentive but always about if needed and full of great advice on food and wine.
Very friendly and attentive staff, good food and wine. It was lovely initially but got very loud as the evening progressed. Would recommend overall, but not for the hard of hearing!
We had high hopes for a Ross Lewis restaurant and had booked it from the UK before travelling to Ireland. We had a fabulous, memorable evening. The food was delicious and the staff really helpful with our choices.
Had a great meal with family to celebrate a birthday.
Excellent food in attractive very quiet time for the restaurant.
Fab restaurant with outstanding service and delicious food. Througherly enjoyed our night and we look forward to returning soon.
Great food and excellent service. We will be back.
Such an enjoyable evening here. Staff were fantastic. So professional, attentive and friendly.
Food was delicious. Ambience really good. Great for couples, small family gathering or a few friends.
Wonderful experience. Friendly staff. Delicious food.
Really nice restaurant, good atmosphere and friendly staff
One of our best dining experiences in Dublin, food and wine was amazing, will definitely return!
Lovely relaxed ambience. Good distancing without undermining the atmosphere. Our waiters were friendly and attentive, not intrusive. The food was great, beautifully presented and delicious. A special mention for the beef medallions : exceptional! A bit expensive but worth it. We’ll definitely be back.
Our favourite local hidden gem has gone up market. Smaller portions. Ordered a third pizzette to share as we were both still hungry. Their delicious pizzas are now pizzettes and much smaller and pricey. Sent back the tiny half ball of burata and one peach in half. No value at €14 and half the portion they used to serve.
Wine arrrived after our starters which is a restaurant basic to get right. And we were early and it was not that busy. 5 different staff attended our table which made for a disjointed experience. Our favourite restaurant under the bridge is no more.
Really good authentic food. Excellent service. Our waiter was very helpful in informing us about public transport
Great food, authentic taste of Italy in these days of staying at home.
I lovely place and very nice staff. I definitely will be back
Delicious main courses and desserts
Starters a bit disappointing
Great choice of wines by the glass
Would recommend .
Very good service; food overall very good though the Octopus starter was just ok.
It's expensive but we knew that before so the question is 'was food, wine and overall experience value for money '?
Mmmm not sure.
Super meal, amazing friendly and fun service, and overall wonderful evening. Will definitely go back...the burrata and peach was superb!
Very pleasant experience. Food excellent, staff very nice, friendly, efficient, a lovely evening.
Sat at the high tables as a 5 - lovely ambience, attentive service, food was delicious. Made us a custom dessert after my cheeky partner asked did they have affogato! Would come back in a heartbeat.
Always love this place and despite a long break it more than met expectations.
The octopus for starter is a must!!!!
Amazing food, and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Can’t wait to eat there again.
Lovely experience! The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend this place.
I had always wanted to try this place so finally I booked it for a birthday meal with my family. The place is really cosy and nicely lit. It's underneath the DART tracks and you can occasionally hear the rumble of the train, which is quite atmospheric. Our waiter was excellent. He was clearly a professional who had been doing his job for years. He gave us very good wine recommendations and offered to bring the bottle back if we didn't like it. The food was very good too. Covid protocols were observed, which I appreciated. I will certainly be coming back. Really nice restaurant choice!
Absolutely recommended. Brilliantly cooked and presented food at very good prices. Had a wonderful meal.
