OUT OF BOUNDS is thrilled to announce our entry to the local restaurant community. Uniquely located on the spectacular grounds of Cattail Crossing our stand-alone facility has two gorgeous south facing patios to enjoy the sunset while overlooking a stunning lakeside view.
Celebrating our regional heritage, our innovative menus will feature classic Canadian fare with a modern twist using where available sustainable, locally sourced products from small farms, growers and producers, always freshly made in-house. The Chef driven kitchen will produce, small plates, comfort food representing the international flavors of Canada today.

                                                                  Golf course view restaurant. Very nice service and good food. When we went, they were out of the beef short ribs, which was a bummer because that's what we wanted to try. Instead we shared the mozzarella stuffed meatballs, ricotta and bruschetta, and the cedar smoked salmon with barley and pea risotto. All were very tasty. I found the risotto heavy on the barley. The bread with the bruschetta was tasty, but the large holes from the rising made it tough to hold the ricotta and bruschetta. We also had a martini and a beer. Bill was on the pricey side for what we got, but no complaints on the food taste. The music was good but a little loud for visiting with my father. All in all a good experience, and my husband and I will be back during our summer bike rides, but I don't think my dad is in any hurry to come back, lol. Thanks for a nice evening Out of Bounds. My dad had golfed for the last time here many years ago while my mom worked the beer cart for an event. It was nice to reminisce. Oh, since I am being a bit of a negative Nelly, the windows that look out to the golf course and pond need a wash. Gotta keep that view crystal clear!

                                                                  We went there for some certain menu items we found on the menu through the OpenTable app as well as their website. Once we got there they were missing half of the items we were going for and the prices in restaurant were a lot higher (20% Average Higher). Luckily the food made up for this unexpected surprise 3 of 4 of our meals were excellent. The Poke Bowl and Short rib were incredible, the flank steak not so much. It was very tough and full of griddle. The manager/host promised a 10% off cheque but never ended up getting that either.

The potatoes tasted like they were just this side of rotted and disguised by over frying in grease that hadn’t been hot enough.

                                                                  Overall a nice evening. Flavors were wonderful from the Caesar cocktail, Caesar salad, and Smoked Brisket to the coffee and Double chocolate dessert. Server was friendly but could have been a bit more attentive throughout the evening. She was often seen chatting with staff and then remembering she had tables to attend to. Not sure if she was new at the job, but maybe? We will be back.

                                                                  Amazing service, great food (except the carrot cake was disappointing - too heavy and dry and too much icing), the noise level was quite high especially when we first arrived due to a hockey competition. We hadn’t been to the restaurant previously but the people we were with who had been at the restaurant before commented on how nice the upgrades were. Had a nice view out of the large windows.

                                                                  The food tasted really good. Even my kids liked it. They brought all the food out at the same time. My ribs was kinda worm. Must have been sitting in the back for awhile. It tasted really good. That's why I didn't say anything. When we got home. The wife was in the wash room for like 2hrs. She was so sick she can even stand. Was gonna take her to the hospital. That bad. Looks like we won't be going back. I really want to try the brisket.

I am the head Chef, and I have done advanced food safety and can tell you that onset of symptoms from food bourn illness show up 8 to 12 hours after ingestion. I and my staff take the utmost care when it comes to food safety. We also have not had any other people with similar complaints, which would then be indicative of food bourn illness.                                                                   It took an enormous amount of time to get our food. For the price of the 3-course meal they offered they should have been more prepared and organized. They did not have enough of some of their items on their list. Highly disappointed as by the time we ate I wasn't enjoying my time there I just wanted to leave and be home.

We also enjoyed the Bao, Smoked deviled eggs and "Bowl" of fries, I say "bowl" because it was massive! Great value, great food and a hidden gem. It's a must try and not just on the weekend.

                                                                  Samantha provided excellent service and was a pleasure to work with. The food was quite disappointing based on previous experience. The potatoes were not hot enough and the beef was stingy. The dessert was dry and had been there some time. We have had much better food at the Out of Bounds and thus hopefully the standard is not starting to decline while prices increase.

Had the beef short ribs, wasn’t as tender as I’ve had in the past. Dish overall seemed a bit plain for being classified as fine dining. Think next time may just stick with something more simple like the burger. Pork belly bao buns to start were great.

                                                                  First time at this restaurant my wife an I were on a date night. We had the brisket special and it was a great meal at a reasonable price, we both found the food just warm which didn't detract from the taste. It is a golf restaurant so not much for ambiance but we went primarily for the food. Our server Emily was very helpful and attentive and the cocktails were great. I would recommend it based on the food and they have a variety of specials during the week also entertainment certain nights.
