   The Langham is my usual High tea destination. Based on this last one, I wouldn’t attend again. I attended for Mother’s Day expecting it would be in the lovely couches/dining area. It was not. We were seated near the front door where lots of management/server discussions were occurring. The food arrived promptly (without the tea) It took three request till we finally received the tea (15mins in) The pie/quiche pastry was under baked Everyone received gift bags - my mum noticed we had not and I needed to ask for one for my mum. There was no attention paid to us once the food and tea arrived. Mum asked if she could have a glass of port instead of the champagne we’d signed up for. The waitstaff didn’t know what port was (took over 20mins to arrive and my glass of champagne wasn’t served till then). The scones and jams were amazing but they ran out so mum only got one.

   Very disappointing high tea experience from The Langham on Mother’s Day - rather than being in the regular high tea room, we were put in a very plain and ambience-free conference style room at the back of the hotel. Staff service was slow, we had a dirty table next to us for the entire time. The food was quite good, but at least 60% of a great high tea is the surroundings and these were very poor, and not my usual Langham experience, particularly when they charged an even higher premium price than normal. After this experience, I would not recommend going to The Langham for a special occasion like Mother’s Day.

   The staff is not 5 star standard to fit the price tag. They forgot drinks, bought out the wrong tea and were generally not very helpful. The exception was Anna Polyviou who has charismatic and made an effort to say hi and happy mothers day to all the tables.

   The tea was Greek themed; not a traditional English tea. It was also mediocre at best. Service was slow/non- existent. Only us and one other person in the tearoom.

   We arrived a couple of hours early as our plans changed during the day. The team were more than happy to accept us and we received exceptional service throughout. Every single item on the tea stand was delicious and I wish I lived in Sydney so I could come again

    Very disappointed in the Barbie afternoon tea. While I appreciate that they did the food in a barbie pink theme it was sickly sweet and I am a sweet lover. Such a shame it could have been done really well but unfortunately was very poor and as my daughter said,"the food was disgusting!" I feel very little thought or effort went into making the afternoon tea menu appetising.

    We arrived and were seated. After 15 mins we noticed people around us being served drinks and food and we had nothing. No one approached us to see if we needed anything and were left wondering if we did something wrong. Finally I called a waitress over who took our orders but it never arrived. People were finishing their afternoon when I asked for the manager who informed me the meal was 5-7mins away. She offered a discount as an apology but it was never applied to the bill. Beautiful location. Lovely food. Service very poor.

    Very disappointed! We arrived early and were one of the first to be seated. It took 40 mins to get a glass of water - and after I had to ask for it. Child’s high tea came after one hour of sitting waiting. The adult tea didn’t arrive til the child’s tea was almost finished - after I had to ask where it was. The sweet food looked good but was way too fancy and rich for young children so most of it was left uneaten. The rainbow milkshake consisted of jelly and mousse layers in a small long narrow glass but there was no spoon to eat it with so it was left uneaten. I had to get the attention of the waitress to ask for every single thing that we eventually got so it was as though there was no staff allocated to our table. The table next to us had the same wait and I think it’s a tall ask to expect young children to sit quietly for this long without anything. Overall, considering this was directly marketed to small children - Barbie high tea - we were very underwhelmed and after the excitement and build up of what was supposed to be a special day out with my grand daughter it turned out to be a VERY EXPENSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT.

    Lovely Easter Afternoon Tea. We felt we were the only guests even though room was busy. Food was wonderful, the gift bag for each guest gave extra value to the expenditure made.

    In theory this sounds like a really good experience, we booked an experience package that was meant to come with a gift as part of World Pride. It seems they were out of what was stated on the website and we were provided with two of the same items. For the price, it was definitely underwhelming. The champagne glasses were unevenly poured, the tea pot that had a cracked spout, there were no serving implements for food the "crustless sandwiches" still had bits of crust left on them. This is the sort of thing you'd expect at a small afternoon tea ran as a school fundraiser not an establishment charging $148 a head.

    Absolutely loved Anna’s menu. High tea was spectacular and well balanced. Be sure to arrive with an appetite. Service was ok as had to ask a few times for water to be topped up as it was a hot day. Sadly the aircon did not keep up and it was uncomfortably hot which detracted from the experience. Overall we loved it and will definitely be back.

    The Langham Hotel is incredible. Great place for an afternoon tea. The price was a little high but we paid the premium for the limited menu option, not complaining, just comparing high teas. I thought I would need food after it but I left so full, the amount of food was great. Would definitely come back the the Langham anytime for an afternoon tea.

    We had a nice afternoon. Special? different? No. We booked the high tea as we heard Anna Polyviou was starting at hotel unfortunately they had not changed their high tea from Christmas, even thou the dates on the menu said finishes 31/1/2022. Service was very polite.

    Great high tea. Savouries and sweets are beautiful and a bountiful supply of teas. French champagne attracts a $20 surcharge over the Australian sparkling, per glass, which is steep. Service is impeccable in this boutique hotel. The only thing that would top it is better views across to Pyrmont. Unfortunately, the ground floor location means there are water glimpses rather than a panorama. Not much one can do about that, so doesn't affect this 5-star rating.

    We had the afternoon tea on Christmas Day. We weren't told during booking but the venue was actually changed to the bar. The ambience was completely different than expected. Service was friendly but it was very difficult to get their attention. We were ignored in the first 15 minutes until we asked for the menu etc. Food was good though, especially desserts. Also weird surcharges meaning the bill doesn't add up. Will not be back.

    The staff completely forgot we existed. We had a table of 3 for the high tea but they only brought out enough food for 2 and then took 20 minutes for the third persons tower to arrived. Took an hour to serve the drinks and forgot about our tea until we had to remind them.
