   The atmosphere is great. Service was solid. Food is ok. Ideal for drinks and small plates vs dinner. It’s also very pricey for what you get. Nothing we ordered was a standout. There was a lobster appetizer that was pretty good. I recommend they expand their menu or perhaps, have the server provide a better overview of the concept so that customers can order accordingly. I’m a foodie and love when restaurants are innovative and unique. Palo Santo could be that but they have some work to do to get there.

   This was our first visit to Palo Santo and we will definitely be back soon. There were four us sharing 3 small plates and 2 different main courses. Everything was great, especially the branzino. Definitely recommend.

   I recently had the opportunity to secure a reservation for Mother's Day at 8:15 pm, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The dinner exceeded our expectations, and the level of service provided was truly exceptional. Marie, our server, exhibited remarkable kindness and proficiency by attentively guiding us through the menu offerings. She demonstrated an impressive understanding of the dishes and offered valuable recommendations. Her professionalism greatly enhanced our dining experience. Upon arrival, we were pleased to discover the availability of valet parking, which I highly recommend. Alternatively, one can opt for Uber or consider utilizing the paid parking garage at King Plows. To commence our culinary journey, we indulged in a selection of delectable cocktails including Paloma, Madre Selva, Sun Kissed, and Mango Colada. These expertly crafted beverages set the stage for a memorable evening. Moving on to the appetizers, we savored the exquisite flavors of the Steak Tartare and Lobster Agua Chile. Each bite was a culinary delight, showcasing the chef's skillful preparation. For the main course, we were treated to a diverse array of dishes. The Grilled Octopus, Rice, and Poblano Rice with Seared Scallops were remarkable in their presentation and taste. The Carne de Sada and Bone Marrow showcased the chef's expertise in creating bold and flavorful combinations. To conclude our dining experience, we indulged in two delightful desserts: the Churros and the Yuzu, Basil, Charcoal Meringue over the Smoked Panna Cotta. These sweet treats were the perfect finale to an exceptional meal, leaving us with a lasting impression. Overall, our experience at the restaurant was nothing short of outstanding. The impeccable service provided by Marie, paired with the delectable cocktails and exceptional dishes, made it an unforgettable Mother's Day celebration. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an exquisite dining experience.

    Service was good. Ambiance was good. Flavor of the food was great. The restaurant's main detraction is the portion size versus the cost. Branzino = $36 for five tortillas and a small piece of fish with no sides. Mushrooms Rice = $32 for a very small plate of rice with no meat. Pablano Rice = $39 for a very small plate of rice with two scallops cut in halves. All in all, $188 (inclusive of tip, but exclusive of $5 parking fee) for one appetizer, one mocktail, three waters, three very small entrees, and one dessert. Hard to justify a return trip when there are so many restaurants available in Atlanta with similar service/ambiance/flavor at 60% the cost.

    The food was just okay, especially for the high-end prices. The mushroom rice was burnt on the bottom and there was at least one too many ingredients in many of the dishes. The guacamole was great though and so was the ambiance.

    Marketed as a “luxury restaurant” however parking is bad there, the price is too expensive for portions of the main course, and the food came out really late. This should be marketed more of a cocktail place, but based on the limited parking, there’s plenty better than this place in Atlanta.

    Love this place! The food is fantastic and I keep coming back for the mushroom rice( add scallops ….trust me). The inside is very dimly lit and it can be a bit noisy on Friday-Saturday evenings. Definitely a a place to try!

    I have been to Palo Santo two other times and really loved it, so I decided to come for my birthday. I put that in the reservation, but that was not acknowledged. As well as the rice for my entree was undercooked to the point of me not even eating half of it. I’m not sure if I will be coming back.

    Try Palo Santo. It is a chef-forward update to the local Mexican scene. Aside from excellent guacamole, the menu is an answer to those looking for modern Mexican cooking instead of carb-loaded chain tex-mex dishes that leave you full but unsatisfied. Instead of tortilla and chips, masa (two varieties: thin/crispy tlayuda and soft'/stuffed tlacoyo). Instead of predictable taqueria street fare, appetizers like the brightly flavored lobster agua chile or the miso caramel and goat cheese roasted whole cauliflower. Main dishes are equally divided among beef, paella-like rice and delightful seafood choices, including an amazingly light grilled octopus in guajillo sauce. In fact, "light" and "bright" occupy most of the main course descriptions. Almost forgot the craft cocktails: lots of citrus and tequila but only one margarita. That means lots of other combinations to sample, like a mango colada or a Paloma with fresh grapefruit. The service was attentive, the servers were knowledgeable. The background music was a little heavy on percussion, but a rooftop bar scene explains the ambiance.

    I absolutely love this restaurant. It will not be the last time I go. There are a couple reasons why I can’t give it a full five stars; I don’t really like that there is absolutely no option to self-park, and it’s pretty pricey. My main qualm with the prices are with the appetizers. They are not shareable at all, which is fine! I just wish I knew. But! What we did have was delicious. Our favorites were the wild mushroom and rice, the lobster, and the churros! Everything was absolutely delicious. We ordered a variety of food and cocktails across the table, and there was not a single complaint. And the ice cream is housemaid so, absolutely delicious. Our server was by far the best. She was very sweet, attentive, but not too overbearing. Her name is Anna! It’s great for a date night, friends, get together, business dinner… I really enjoyed it!

    Extremely impressive ambiance.. food was mediocre..I had the Tlayuda (Hangar Steak).. there was much to be desired... great idea.. poor execution... needed more seasoning amongst other things.. the Mushroom Rice didn't really dance in my mouth. The mushrooms really lacked flavor.. some fresh herbs and more seasoning would have done the trick.. I love the "mocktails" on the menu... The guacamole was nothing to write home about.. I've had better....Atmosphere was outstanding..decor was tastefully seductive.. the Patio ambiance was great... def one of the best roof top patios within 5 miles or so... Service was impeccable....     This was my first time dining at Palo Santo and from the moment I walked in I knew it wouldn’t be my last. The hosts at the stand were warm and hospitable and got me seated immediately. I had the Paloma which was fantastically refreshing. We ordered the Tuna Tostada and the Mussel and Bone Marrow Toast which were perfect appetizers for our main entrees of the Poblano Rice and the Woodfired Branzino. We finished off dinner with the churros which were delightful with their dusting of a hibiscus sugar. The atmosphere was vibey, the playlist was on point, and the service was warm without being overbearing. I can see why this is one of Atlanta’s hot new restaurants. I will be back.

    Absolutely one of my favorite spots in Atlanta. The food is exquisite and beautiful, the drinks are so fresh and delicious, and the menu in constantly changing so it’s always a new experience. After dinner, head upstairs for music and a rooftop bar.

    Music too loud we couldn’t talk, the guacamole didn’t taste right, the octopus wasn’t cooked right or with flavor, the table next to us kept bumping to us every minute, our waitress Carolina was absolutely amazing but the ambiance of the restaurant and not being able to talk to your party because you have to yelled the whole time was absolutely ridiculous.
