We offer seating both indoors in our dining room and outdoors on our back garden, which you will choose when booking your reservation.

Each evening, we have limited availability of pressed duck dinners and cassoulet dinners. If you are interested in enjoying either a pressed duck for two or cassoulet for two, please email info@pasjoli.com, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Pasjoli is an elevated French bistro from James Beard award-winning chef Dave Beran. The restaurant pays homage to French cuisine utilizing the bounty of produce available in Southern California.     IMO great food is art. Our dinner w/ the duck special qualifies as that. All the food showed special attention, incredible richness of flavor and texture and top chef creativity. The restaurant vibe was proper but not snobby or pretentious. IT'S TOO EXPENSIVE. Certainly to make it a regular dining destination. If money is no object, fine. Here's another problem, even if I was Rupert Murdoch, I'm not sure I would want to return. Does the menu ever change? Very limited selections. The old Spago was expensive, and snobby but it was always an adventure. My biggest issue is the WINE! Charging over $100 for $25-30 retail bottles, with a $75 corkage fee? No reasonable choices. Please guys tell me how that brings back repeat business?

    A truly exceptional culinary experience, we were there to enjoy sharing some entrees in a group of three. Both fish dishes were surprising and fantastic. The mushroom tart and the beef short ribs had amazing flavors in the sauces with the food itself cooked to perfection. We finished with the Duck Cassoulet—wow! Everything about the presentation, accoutrements, and flavors were magnificent!

    We had a very enjoyable meal at pasjoli. Each course was delightful and yummy, and we were very happy with our interactions with all the people who were working there -- they were helpful, friendly, and welcoming. It was not inexpensive, but we were there for a special occasion and it was well worth the price.

    Had another fabulous meal at Pasjolie. Without a doubt our favorite restaurant in the country we come whenever we visit LA. The food is beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. The service is impeccable. Truly a warm and inviting group of professionals!

    Easy to see why this restaurant not only is at the top of the LA Times' 101 best restaurants but also had a Michelin star -- and surely will again down the road. Every dish we had was terrific. The experience wildly exceeded our expectations; looking forward for an occasion to return.

    What a terrific dinner this evening. My wife and I split the pressed duck (canard à la Rouennaise à la presse) which is worth the trip...we flew in from Vancouver. Meal comes out as one course which is actually great. You have some duck with pudding, a bite of salad, the cold duck with the salad very different taste than the warm duck. Bottle of red burgundy pairs well. Met Chef Beran, great individual, passionate about his cooking! Seek this place out. Tip, when making reservation request seating in dining area with view of kitchen.

    We had a very relaxed and excellent meal…sharing caviar, 3 appetizers/salads, 3 entrees and some desserts….all plates were licked clean Perfect pacing, friendly and knowledgeable servers, and obviously a very confident kitchen.. While relatively expensive, I think the quality/value relationship is there and we will be back for sure

    Cassoulet was outstanding. The best this side of Paris. And our server, Devin, was a real professional at his job…knowledgeable about the menu, attentive to our requests and very sociable in a good way.

    We sat outside, so not a true experience at the restaurant. However, it was cold. Kept our coats on the entire time. Inside looked lovely and charming. The food was mostly delicious. We had a few misses at our table for four, but many combinations were original and interesting. The wait staff needs to understand their audience. Our young server spoke to our well traveled, middle aged group as if we had never ventured out of Santa Monica and had to be taught all about French food. It was almost comical to us. Prices are as one would expect for a well rated restaurant. Would only go back to sit inside and hope for a different server!

    We sat in the side area which lacks some of the charm the bar area has but still attractive. Our waiter didn’t know what a dirty martini was and was unsure if they served Belvedere. I’m not sure if it was a language issue or he was new to waiting tables but he was sweet enough. The quality of the food more than makes up for the prices and even the lesser priced wine was really nice. We shared the special casulet and it could have been enough for the 4 of us since we are all not huge eaters. We should have taken the rest home but the pot was gone while I was in conversation and didn’t notice. We will all defiantly return for another special occasion.

    1/2 Duck breast was taken to kitchen to be boxed. It would have been more polished if the 2 halves of the remaining duck meal was also taken to the kitchen for boxing, instead of asking us to do it at the table

    tartare and onion tart are outstanding, as was the sturgeon . service was excellent , and our waitress was very knowledgable about the the entire menu and wines.

    Had the best, most thoughtful server Rodrigo. The entrees were incredible but the hamachi / salad / chicken liver all a little disappointing. We sat outside in the garden and it just felt incongruent. Cheap ugly tables - shouldn’t they have white linen for this caliber restaurant? Tables all disjointed in the space and the ambience of it felt like an afterthought.

    the roasted duck taste good but is very hard to chew and swallow! chocolate soufflé is good!But I think the overall cost performance is not very high! The price is expensive!

    The evening was incredible. The food, the service, and the ambiance were all amazing. The price is not for the feint of heart but it's arguably worth the money. Don't go here if you can't drop $500 for an evening at the least.

    Honestly, everything was great. We had the duck. Very good meal. Not worth $200. The salad was too saturated with the dressing, the meat was good, just not $200 good, but the duck bread pudding was amazing. If the meal was $80 total - this place would get five stars across the board.

    My husband and I came to California (from central New York) just to eat at Pasjoli! The whole experience was amazing. I think about the food daily… and the cocktails. We wish we were closer, but plan to be back!

    After the privilege of dining at Dialogue years ago pre-Covid, I came in to pasjoli eagerly. The staff was very friendly and even accommodated a travel delay I had which I really appreciate. Food wise, though, I was unfortunately extremely underwhelmed. Especially for the price. Everything was just meh. Flavors either didn’t work or was just very boring and one note. Left feeling this isn’t the place for me. Oh well. Maybe the chef’s next tasting menu iteration will be better, but I’d certainly think twice about it. Thanks for at least making me feel welcome. Hospitality is at least done very well here.

    My son is a chef and he was eager to try Pasjoli - I flew in from NY and we headed out to Santa Monica. My son had researched and wanted to try the duck, which was unfortunately not tender, nor was the skin crisp. The salad was passable and the bread pudding was the best of the three dishes…but a disappointment all in all.

    This is French food on the next level. Definitely not your typical steak frites kind of place so if that’s what you’re looking for find another place to go. The whole Pasjoli meal is an experience. I highly urge you to pre-order the pressed duck because that is amazing and there’s nowhere else you will find it in Los Angeles. I want to order every single thing on their menu and I will. The fish had the crispiest, most perfect skin I’ve ever had and the foie de poulet à la Strasbourgeoise (Escoffier 3495)is simply divine. You’re in for a treat at Pasjoli.

    Overall nice place but for price of entrees that are very yummy and have delicious sauces, you should not charge $9 for the bread.

    Pasjoli is one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles. Elevated French food and service is extremely friendly. Professional customer service and a quiet vibe with a stylish interior. 10/10 recommend!
