   Most the food was very nice including nachos, crispy duck salad and the Mexican beef tenderloin but a lot of the Mexican food was just too spicy for me and my partner and the cauliflower was a bit underdone and crunchy. Service started off very good but then after we had eaten nobody returned to the table, we were not offered any dessert or any further drinks which was slightly disappointing

   Amazing experience. We were a bit hesitant on the Mexican/Japanese fusion but it works so well. The service was exceptionally good. The cod was a bit over cooked but overall is an experience to recommend. Delicious food, great ambiance and Dj.

   Really expensive for what you get and feels a bit dated now. It was also super quiet on a Thursday evening but that’s not the restaurants fault! However service was amazing and good was good 😀

    Really enjoyed the food on the tasting menu, but small portions and courses served too quickly leaving us feeling rushed. Staff were wonderful but restaurant lacked ambiance for some reason. We didn’t feel that the meal represented good value for money as we had a voucher for £100 and still had to add a further £120 to pay the bill.

    I wouldn’t recommend this place if you were going for food as the music and didn’t set is in the food area and it isn’t easy to have a conversation. It’s fine if you are just going for drinks.

    I had been wanting to come to Peter Street Kitchen for a while but I must say it did not live up to my expectation and my clients and I left feeling quite disappointed. The service was very slow and I kept on having to go and find someone to order more drinks. The food also took way too long to come. I also feel that the menu is very over priced and that despite spending £650 for myself and 5 clients- we were all still hungry at the end!

    Banging club music from 7pm absolutely not ideal. We went for the tasting menu. First 2 dishes were great but by the third course of soggy tempura prawns (which went back) I was so incredibly sick of the crap and unduly loud tech house music being relentlessly rattled out by the DJ that I just wanted to go home. Club music and restaurant dining so not make good bedfellows. It was so loud that we couldn’t hear what the waiting staff or our companions were saying. I was after 6 courses very relieved to receive the cardboard tasting sponge cake with my dessert as the texture was sufficiently dense to plug my ears with and dampen the awful music a little.

    Excellent from start to finish. The food was outstanding, as was the service. My only complaint was the DJ set playing in the restaurant. It was too loud and not to my taste, but can’t fault anything else.

    The meal was stunning and the waiter very informative. We have eaten at lots of high end restaurants accross the country but this was by far one our favourites. The flavours were amazing on every dish and the wagyu just melted in your mouth. We can’t wait to come back.

    Hip trendy and beautifully appointed restaurant with a DJ playing. It managed to fuse Japanese and Mexican food with a small plate style of eating. The staff were attentive and overall it felt well put together as a concept. It’s a fresh, modern and cool restaurant for a special night out either with a date or a larger group of friends.

    We had five plates of which one, cod, was flavoursome. Three others were dominated by excessive use of lime. Portions are small. Relative to the price paid - GBP 97 - for two, including two bottles of Kirin, this experience did not represent value for money.
