Great pasta, but also the salmon is amazing and salads are delicious. Service is friendly, helpful, and attentive. Atmosphere is friendly beach-smart-casual to beach-formal, meaning no evening gowns nor bathing suits, but almost anything else that makes you comfortable is fine.

Our favorite place to go for all occasions, even our out of town guests always ask to go there! Nothing can beat twilight in the patio on a warm evening.

I like the patio at Piatti , but the food was really poor. 1) the carpaccio was very small with minimal quantity of veal 2) the linguine ai frutti di mare were overcooked despite the request not to cook them too much 3) the expresso machine is broken (since 2 months) The server was very nice and apologized several times.

The interior courtyard is lovely. The food is still fantastic and not super expensive for La Jolla. Service was pretty good until it got busy. Will definitely go back.

This is one of my most favorite Italian restaurants in San Diego, especially if you can get a table in the outdoor courtyard. It is magical with the large tree in the center and the lights in the tree. Ashlyn was our server and she was awesome. The food here is always very good and last night did not disappoint. We always order the bread with dipping oil which is to die for! Last night we had the calamari and shrimp appetizer and it did not disappoint. My husband had the braised short ribs cannelloni. It was awesome. I took advantage of the October special menu, Pasta and Pinot and had the brown butter and sage pumpkin ravioli. It was outstanding and the Pinot Noir was a nice compliment to the meal. Best part, it was only 30 dollars. Especially today with food prices the way they are, this is a fantastic deal! It was our anniversary so they surprised us with a complimentary piece of tiramisu which was the perfect way to end the night. Two appetizers, two entries, one beer and one glass of wine and the bill was a little more than 100 dollars. Especially considering the quality and taste of the food, the ambiance and the service. This was an easy 5 stars! Just wish they had one more hostess seating people. It took awhile to get our seat once we arrived.

We always have a good meal here, and the service is excellent. The noise level is pretty loud at dinner, and often I can't hear what my friends are saying. That said, it's on me that I didn't ask for a corner table, or outside, which may have been quieter. I had penne bolognese but substituted pappardelle noodles, and they were very accommodating. At least three of us got the cappellini with short ribs and it was delicious.

Food was good, but not outstanding. Service was below average and imo has always been that way. We had 5:00 reservations and we were seated immediately, but the service was poor and we received very little attention from our server despite it being early and the restaurant being empty. At one point I had to get up to go get my own salt and pepper because I couldn’t get anyone’s attention. I think I need to go across the street next time. I hear the food is good and the service is excellent.
