Pichet Ratings and Reviews
Firstly, I will say that the service was recognised on the night to not be up to standard and we were offered dessert free of charge. This was a nice gesture but I feel it still needs to be mentioned.
We felt ignored when we first sat down to our table, there were 2 people beside us who arrived 5-10 minutes after and we're served before us. It was almost impossible to order a bottle of wine and on the third attempt we managed to get a guy's attention. However our main courses arrived and still no wine, no record of an order so we had to order again. Last but not least, my fiancé received the wrong main course but at that point we were fed up trying to seek people's attention. We had received a voucher for Pichet from friends for our engagement and it really was a disappointing experience. We won't be back of our own accord and it's not somewhere we would recommend either.
Choose this restaurant as we were going to the theatre on dame strret and it was beside Trinity street car park. The staff were friendly and polite , we just had a main course and we both had the fish which was lovley . The only thing we didnt like was the backround music ,we felt it was a shame its wasnt softer and more intimate .
Totally amazing exeperience for 30th. Anniversary!! Waiter fabulous, owner the Chef, and a great restaurant manager!! Food so amazing. Venison and Beef with a all the trimmings!! Wine list to die for!! Highly recommend this restaurant when in Dublin, Ireland!!
I really enjoyed the meal here and the wine was superb. I was meeting my boyfriend's parents for the first time so the wine went down well!
The food was really good, especially the butternut squash soup which was delicious and the consistency was beautiful and the flavour sublime. The seabream was cooked really well and the coffee was excellent also. A really nice restaurant with really tasty food, a good ambience, very relaxed and superb service.
I booked a table at Pichet for my boyfriend, my parents and I to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary. The staff were very accommodating when assisting my dad who is disabled. The food was excellent, and they had a very nice range of vegetarian options. We really enjoyed our evening at Pichet and would love to visit again.
We were a company of three. Two of us had perfectly adequate food, but the third got burned gnocchis and burned cauliflower. I don't think it's possible that the kitchen didn't notice. She did not want to make a fuss, but it totally ruined what would have been a nice meal.
As always the food is outstanding, with very friendly and fun staff. Although I was sad Anthony wasn't with the restaurant anymore, an outstanding waiter! If you haven't visited Pichet, please do. It's always a sure hit... Third visit in as many visits to Dublin. PS Note to staff, bring back that peanut sorbet dessert!
Service was excellent. Standard of food and if cocktails were excellent. My only concern was I felt the menu was quite limited but that was most likely just my own taste.
I had the lamb with creme brulee and it was delicious. We had multiple cocktails and they were all excellent.
The food is incredible! The presentation beautiful!
Table of 4: we had the beetroot salad, crab appetizer, heirloom tomatoes, and terrine.
For entrees, we had the sea bream, short ribs, pork belly & steak tartare...
AND DO save room for dessert: the daily cheesecake was amazing, the isle fontaine beautiful!
We were seated in a dimly lit part of the restaurant, had to use the torch on my mobile to read the menu! Starter was outstanding (Onion Soup), Main was nice although I misread the menu and didn't realise that my beef was being served on a bed of risotto, am not a fan of risotto.
Service was excellent. Would go back ok..
Sour dough was perfect
Tartar followed,it was great
scallops next were very tasting
We both had the rump of Lamb, was savage.. really really good plate of food, aubergine, yogurt, pea perfectly cooked lamb what's not to love
Brûlée followed , propper snap of the caramelised sugar -yum
Cheeses then followed accompanied by candied walnuts, pickled Celery, quince
Crackers were great
Exception food and service with great atmosphere. Both lively and able to have private meal. Staff service excellent but most importantly food exceptional. Most other fine dining restaurants food can be almost too rich but this was impeccably presented and cooked to suit any palet. Fabulous place, would highly recommend
Loved the restaurant but i found that the waitress was rather rude. I did not finish my soup and when asked i said i did not like the lump of cream in it, she said in a harsh voice that it was not cream it was cream cheese.. i thought it was rather harsh way to speak to a customer in front of their friend. When i was eating my dinner she again rudely interrupted us and asked me was my dinner ok, i am a slow eater and i thought again what is her problem..
We were on vacation. Pichet was a recommendation and it more than lived up to the rave. Wonderful friendly staff. Easy going yet very professional. The food was absolutely perfect in flavors, quality and presentation. I would send my friends there without hesitation.
Very friendly staff that showed respect towards us. The steaks we had were melt in your mouth and the duck was done to perfection, my tomato salad starter was very tasty as well as colourful. I got the cheapest glass of wine which surprisingly nice, the strawberry desert had mint sauce which tasted like the new mojito mint and was scrumptious. The windows have obscure glass which is a great idea as the views are not nice. Now that we have found it we will be back to sample the a la carte as the Sunday menu is a little limited.
The service and atmosphere was excellent and extremely good food.Waiter top notch. This compares with someone who has experienced the finest of dining with La Cinq in The Goerge Cinq Paris which obviously has some Michelin stars but Pichet is equally good in a different way.
Food-wise, Pichet was up to its usual high standard of classic French cooking. However, something went wrong with the service aspect of the restaurant the evening we were there. While the welcome and initial service at our table was adequate, there was a considerable delay between ordering our food and its presentation at the table. It appeared we had been forgotten about for at least forty minutes, and there were no reassurances to us during that time. Eventually, one waiter had the decency to apologise for the long delay and to offer a excuse, albeit a lame one. However, we weren't there to get into an argument or make a scene, so we got on with having our dinner. From then on, the service was correct. When the bill was presented we were told that coffees were on the house and that we had been given a 12% discount to compensate for the earlier delay. This was a fair gesture in the circumstances, in my opinion, and I declined leaving a tip also.
pre theatre dinner.Reception attentive and friendly. We were seated in a small dining room with open plan kitchen.Nicely laid tables with linen napkins. Good sound characteristics no shouting or hearing aids required. Waiter realised quickly that a relaxed meal was the preffered option. Very professional service .Wine poured gently and not to the top.Limited food selection but nicely presented and very tasty. Not much saving going for the preset preheater menu but prices reasonable for the quality of venue and food.Overall an enjoyable occasion
My husband and I received had an early dinner on Saturday to celebrate our anniversary. We were immediately impressed when we were greeted in a friendly manner and brought to our table. The food was absolutely delicious. Every morsel! The service was fantastic. All the waiting staff are extremely efficient and friendly, without being overly so. We took our time over our meal and did not feel rushed. We were also pleasantly surprised to have a little "Happy Anniversary" message on our dessert plate - cute touch. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon. We will most definitely return.
