The food & service is exceptional.
Poor service, to start we were given wrong menu — not kid friendly - had our 6 year old with us and they have no children’s menu. Would not go back. Expensive for what you get - high prices, much nicer around the city for same money and less.
Food is excellent in Pichet and our waiter was excellent at explaining menu. However the front of house service was appalling. I arrived on my own to confirm the table would be ready. I eventually got the ladies attention and she swiftly told me it was just ready. I went back to my friends in the Bankers and we arrived within 3-5 minutes. The hostess didn’t even remember me. We sat our table for at least five minutes befor menus were presented. I was treating my friends for my birthday so was not impressed with initial service There was a wait for our meal but understandable. Also the service charge was over €70. Which I think is wrong too. As I say food excellent bit initial service not good for such a fine dining restaurant
From the cocktail to begin right through to the starters, cote de boeuf for two and dessert, the food was outstanding. Our waiter was also really great - good humoured, made us feel welcome, made good food and wine suggestions and had some good personal banter. Really comfortable chairs and nice ambience also. Will be back again!
enjoyed the meal. waiter was informed and informative. i thought the table setup was not great.
This was our first visit to Pichet. We had received a voucher as a present. We were extremely impressed with the whole experience particularly the member of staff a guy who served us.
He had full knowledge of the food menu and wine list. He recommended wines to suit our food. I had Lobster which was gorgeous. Would not hesitate to return.
Good food and ambience. Could benefit from more innovative vegetarian options.
We went there twice --once at the beginning of the trip and then on the way back out of Dublin. Highly recommend it.
Last night in Ireland
Overall good experience, we had to wait a bit longer for starters to be cleared but it was very busy at the moment, service was great with some slips which where due to busy time, food needs a bit of twitching.
The staff were so friendly and professional, the bar man was very polite and made the most amazing cocktails and the food was fantastic especially the lobster never disappoints
The food was very good, well composed dishes presented well and every component tasted good. Also it didn’t feel like the kitchen were trying too hard by putting unnecessary extra items on the plate. Unfortunately the waiter we had wasn’t trying too hard either. He didn’t explain anything on the menu, rushed us to order and spent most of his time joking with other tables. The disparity in service was highlighted by the table next door being offered a secret tasting menu and very obsequious service.
The food was really wonderful!!
The service was a little slow. We were parked behind a pillar, so I wonder if that is why. It was hard to catch the eye of the waiter for simple things like more water, a dessert, the bill etc
The short rib was amazing!!
Great selection of wines to choose from.
Outstanding food, drink, service, ambience and location.
The lack of ambience was unsurprising; as we booked pre-theatre on a Monday we were the only diners in there! I'm sure there is a great buzz when it's full. Our waitress - the staff in general - were all lovely and a credit to the restaurant, but perhaps a little overbearing at times in making sure everything was OK. A good complaint to have! Food was fresh, tasty and portioned perfectly. Handmade cocktail was a reflection of the friendly barman's skills. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend Pichet to a friend. Well done!
Such deliciousness was a welcomed Sunday treat as well as the stellar wine selection
While on vacation from the USA, my husband and I had a wonderful dinner here. Some favorites were the mussels, short ribs, and lobster with mushrooms. The culinary highlight of our 10-day trip in Ireland!
We had made reservations weeks ago but the first table offered was undesirable (by the service area). To their credit, when we asked for a quieter table they complied without hesitation. Our reservation was for ninety minutes after opening, but they were sold out of the lobster special that had been described to us just five minutes earlier. Cocktails took a long time to come. BUT, other than the first bumps, everything else was perfect. We ordered 9 different items between the three of us and tried each other’s. We all thought everything was unique, delicious and beautifully presented. The waiter was excellent and made perfect recommendations for wine. We’ve eaten at many lovely restaurants in Europe and this is among them. Great atmosphere and location, too.
Nice place and so central. I ordered the pre theatre option of Salmon with chickpea chorizo. Great dish but they didn't seem to integrated with each other and salmon was just placed on top. I would have liked some bread with the dish too as it's perfect for mopping up that great sauce! I hate asking for bread in restaurants for this purpose!
They also completely ignored my birthday note in my booking message.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant! I highly recommend the tartare. Exquisite food, fairly high prices, very good service, and a tad too loud. But on the whole one of my best dining experiences in super gourmet Dublin
nice food, and good service with reasonable space between courses. Not noisy- our hearing is not the best, and so we could carry on conversation without discomfort. Attentive waiter service
Great celebration of anniversary. Our waiter and staff went above and beyond. Adjacent table ordered champagne for us. Food was outstanding. Highly recommend
Very pleasant evening. Service was a little spotty - in fairness we had a waiter who was on his second night and he was still learning the ropes - but he was very pleasant. The food was very nice, although I thought the portions were noticibly on the small side. Its not that we were looking for mountains of food, but I did think the portions were too small.
Great service and food. Exciting new items on the menu. The duck is delicious.
Six close friends on our 1st trip to Dublin ate here. All six agreed--this is one of the best meals we've had anywhere. To begin, the cocktails are excellent and the wine list, though not extensive is well-selected and very nice. Every dish, from appetizers like Dooncastle Oysters, Cod Beignets, Heirloom tomatoes to the main dishes including halibut, sea bream and gnocchi were superb. The fish was perfetly prepared and those who had the halibut said it was the best they'd ever tasted. Deserts were also great. Beyon the food, the service was perfect and the overall friendly, welcoming vibe made for a truly enjoyable evening. This would be the 1st place I would go on my next trip to Dublin.
The food was - as ever - perfect! The staff were attentive and made a fuss of my 9-year-old daughter for her birthday!!
And we didn’t feel remotely rushed - there was plenty of time between the courses, while finishing well within our two hours.
I have eaten at Pichet on two occasions, as parties of two and of six. The service has been consistently excellent and adaptive. The food is very good - on our last visit, we really enjoyed the duck. The wine list is well-priced. We’ll be returning.
As a small point, when you enter the restaurant, there is a bar, and a small desk to the left where your reservation is checked. The desk has been unoccupied both times we came in, so the bartender has asked us if we were there for dinner or drinks, and we did this funny dance of calling out our reservation details multiple times to him, refusing a bar seat, waiting for someone to arrive at the desk to check our reservation, calling out our details again, then again refusing a seat at the bar, and eventually being led to the restaurant room at the back. Not exactly a smooth landing, but I’m sure everyone seated in the bar area on both evenings had a good grasp on our reservation details by the time we were seated.
My husband and I had a lovely evening. Food, service and ambience all very good. Would recommend to a friend.
Excellent food in great location .
Hope to return again very soon.
Great meal at Pichet. Service was very good, cocktails were amazing and every plate of food that came out was delicious. Can’t wait to return.
Well deserved Bib Gourmand! Enjoyed every single bite. Great laid back yet impeccable service. Highly recommended, best PQR I have come across in a while
Amazing. Cocktails a little pricey wasn't overwhelmed. But the food was spectacular and our waitress was excellent. Cost about €130 for two people, three courses each from the a la carte menu, 2 glasses of wine, a cocktail and two bottles of sparkling water.
Received a phone call earlier in the day to confirm my booking which I think is always a good sign. We arrived a little early for our table and there was a nice area to sit and enjoy a drink first. The staff attending our table were friendly and efficient. Mistakenly we were given the wrong wine, but had already drunk some of it before the waiter realized. He apologised and promptly replaced with the correct wine without questioning that we had already drunk some of the first. We were given complimentary desert / cheeseboard as a gesture of goodwill which I felt was more than adequate compensation. Would recommend Pichet and will be back ourselves.
The food is full of flavour and we were lucky enought to be seated by the window at an angle that we could see both the majority of the restaurant as well as a view of outside.
Service was very aware, friendly and professional. We were left waiting an hour for our main dish but it was clearly an oversight and the staff were very apologetic and provided dessert on the house for both myself and my partner. What was impressive was that we barely noticed the wait ourselves and did not ask for compensation. That, to me, is the extra mile. The dessert, the chocolate fondant, of course, was velvet.
We will definitely go back again soon.
Food very good, ambience not great, very loud group beside us and music too loud. I would request a table in the front of house if I was going back.
Desserts overpriced, I had strawberries and ice cream, and I got about 2-3 strawberries chopped up with the ice cream.
I do like Pichet, and am making these comments because I WANT to go back.
Had an amazing experience in Pichet, after so many great recommendations I finally decided to try it and it did not disappoint. Food and drinks were delicious, great quality ingredients, presentation, portions and value for money. Our waitress (didn’t catch her name but she had long red hair) was amazing, so attentive and friendly and she even surprised my boyfriend with a desert and candles for his birthday! Will 100% be back here!
I decided to choose from the pre theatre menu which is very good value. I had pork for mains and rhubarb crumble for dessert. Both were delicious.
We have been to pichet a few times now. Each time we have never had a bad course. The staff are friendly attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine. Has a great cocktail menu and very well made and great presentation. I cannot say enough good things about this place.
I come to Dublin every few months from New York and my experience on Saturday was easily some of the best service I’ve received. Food was delicious and my servers’ recommendations of wine were brilliant. I will definitely be back. I even purchased a gift voucher for a friend at the end of my meal based on the experience.
Modern French cooking with an Irish twist. Great food, service and ambiance. Always reliable. One of the coolest restaurant decors in Dublin. Lunch is good value. Elegant and fun.
