Pichet Ratings and Reviews
Had a lovely meal in Pichet. The food was delicious and the service was great. We were not moved on from our table even though we stayed for almost 3 hours. I will be highly recommending to everyone and we’ll definitely be back! Thanks to all of the staff for such an enjoyable evening 🤗
We had a business meal and were totally happy from start to finish with the experience, food service and ambiance of this lovely little restaurant. I have been here a couple of times before with fiends and it still maintains a massively high standard.
Our guest was relaxed and the meal could not have been better. Good banter with the staff and great food!
Great experience, my 2nd time in this restaurant. Fabulous food, exciting menu, great wine at a reasonable price. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We were left at the table as long as we wanted. Will definitely be back and I’ve spread the news about this lovely relaxing restaurant.
There are many great things about Pichet: the staff, service and ambience are all top notch. The local ingredients are good, and the wine list is deep, but also has some excellent affordable bottles. Our only complaint is that the chef may be trying too hard. The fresh local oysters were drenched in a strongly flavoured bonito vinegar. The oysters could have been CANNED for all I could tell. Then the côte de boeuf of Irish beef was nicely cooked, and I am sure could have been stunning…except that it had been smeared with “home-made smoked ketchup.” Which is a fancy name for BBQ sauce, and is a TERRIBLE thing to do to a nice piece of cow.
It's an open kitchen and the staff look brilliant: but a good dose of "less is more" might let the flavours of the food come forth more clearly.
Service was very good and the waiters were extremely polite. Food was good but not great. I had the gnocchi and it just seemed a little bland. My wife had the fish which was better but again it didn't live up to the price.
Dessert was amazing! Absolutely nothing wrong with pichet, you just need to pick from the menu carefully.
Wanted to try here for some time and wasn’t disappointed! Food was really delicious and very interesting! Nothing like home cooking here but yet it wasn’t pretentious! Service was understated but really efficient with a very sweet waiter. Look forward to going back!
I went for my friends birthday at 18:15 on Wednesday 25th October and we decided to give the starter a miss and go straight to the main course.
We ordered the chateau le boeuf which took approx 50 mins to arrive - it was unequivocally of one the best steaks we’ve had in Dublin, I do understand that the restaurant was busy at the time and the waiter assured us on multiple occasions that the main was on the way and we were given nibbles courtesy of the chef while we waited but we were left waiting again.
Overall it was a very pleasant experience besides the waiting time... The food was fantastic but the overall praise has to go to the waiting staff,
Thanks for the meal & I look forward to the next one
Food was excellent. Very tasty, I had the roast beetroot starter which was class with a great balance of flavours. For main I I had the short rib of beef which was tasty and rich although balance of seasoning a bit too salty. Two course offer was great value with broad choices. Wine list was varied and complemented the menu. I chose a craft beer which was Kith and Kin stout which was delicious I will be sure to be on the look out for. Service was attentive and professional. Modern and smart decor. All round great dining experience and would recommend it to friends. 👍🏻
Firstly, I will say that the service was recognised on the night to not be up to standard and we were offered dessert free of charge. This was a nice gesture but I feel it still needs to be mentioned.
We felt ignored when we first sat down to our table, there were 2 people beside us who arrived 5-10 minutes after and we're served before us. It was almost impossible to order a bottle of wine and on the third attempt we managed to get a guy's attention. However our main courses arrived and still no wine, no record of an order so we had to order again. Last but not least, my fiancé received the wrong main course but at that point we were fed up trying to seek people's attention. We had received a voucher for Pichet from friends for our engagement and it really was a disappointing experience. We won't be back of our own accord and it's not somewhere we would recommend either.
We had a really great experience at Pichet. We went early on a Saturday evening and the place was buzzing. Despite being busy our service was extremely efficient and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious - really interesting flavours and beautifully presented. I thought the early bird menu was extremely good value.
Choose this restaurant as we were going to the theatre on dame strret and it was beside Trinity street car park. The staff were friendly and polite , we just had a main course and we both had the fish which was lovley . The only thing we didnt like was the backround music ,we felt it was a shame its wasnt softer and more intimate .
Totally amazing exeperience for 30th. Anniversary!! Waiter fabulous, owner the Chef, and a great restaurant manager!! Food so amazing. Venison and Beef with a all the trimmings!! Wine list to die for!! Highly recommend this restaurant when in Dublin, Ireland!!
I really enjoyed the meal here and the wine was superb. I was meeting my boyfriend's parents for the first time so the wine went down well!
The food was really good, especially the butternut squash soup which was delicious and the consistency was beautiful and the flavour sublime. The seabream was cooked really well and the coffee was excellent also. A really nice restaurant with really tasty food, a good ambience, very relaxed and superb service.
I booked a table at Pichet for my boyfriend, my parents and I to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary. The staff were very accommodating when assisting my dad who is disabled. The food was excellent, and they had a very nice range of vegetarian options. We really enjoyed our evening at Pichet and would love to visit again.
We were a company of three. Two of us had perfectly adequate food, but the third got burned gnocchis and burned cauliflower. I don't think it's possible that the kitchen didn't notice. She did not want to make a fuss, but it totally ruined what would have been a nice meal.
