A place we have been planning to go to for ages. So our first experience was wow. From first entering the place we were looked after from start to finish. Everything about the experience was first class but most importantly the food. This will not be our last time to visit
Last minute booking so the only tables left were in the bar area. Great food and service, my friend and I were fine with where we were seated. However, if you wanted a quieter or more intimate / business meal then don’t book the bar area.
Food was good and staff attentive
Overall the restaurant is tired with shabby furnishings and its best days have passed
All that said we had a good meal and were very well looked after
It's nice to have a great produce food in city centre, great ambience and service. Exciting moctails and perfectly cooked salmon. Modern, relax interior with tables in good distance. Very reasonable prices for set menu. One of the best restaurants in Dublin, which makes you feel welcome. Fab! Will return.
We wish we could be regulars... We dine out often, in SF and NY, this delightful restaurant compares well against the most compelling peers at home. A great value with a nice by the glass, by the 500ml or by the bottle wine list, food was top quality. Just go.
Wonderful experience at Pichet. The service was excellent and the food was really delicious. It is a very loud restaurant, but guests are clearly enjoying themselves. The restaurant was packed even though we booked our dinner for 20:30, and stayed packed right until the very end. And the cocktails are also really great; I had a tequila and matcha margarita that was amazing. Thanks for a great night!
Good food and good value 😀
Food & Service was of a very high standard. Look forward to returning.
Outstanding service, delicious food and excellent value.
Always consistently excellent. Great food and super professional service! Hard pressed to find better in Dublin!
Lovely food, attentive & friendly staff. Will be back again.
Two course lunch menu was good value. Mussels starter was delicious but chicken main was a bit strange. I don’t think the flavours complimented each other particularly well. Broccoli side was also good but bit disappointed that it wasn’t tenderstem. Noise level was very very loud, which impacted the experience. Service level was ok. Felt a bit rushed through the courses.
Our table wasn't ready at our reservation time but the host was so gracious. He apologized, offered us a table in the bar and sent over two glasses of champagne...he was so charming, we didn't mind the change at all. Food and surroundings were fantastic!
Lively restaurant which was almost fully booked. We had to take the 8.30pm timeslot as there was nothing available at 7.30pm which would have been preferable. The service was very excellent and we even received a plate with Happy Anniversary which was a nice touch. The food was good but my husband felt that the suckling pig was very fatty more like belly of pork.
I had an evening of my own in Dublin and had been recommended the Pichet by friends.
I booked a table on the intranet at 2015, April 5
At arrival I had to wait 1O minutes before anyone noticed me.
I was served my drink, olives/nuts together with my glass of white wine for the appetizer, all at the same time
Even if I order a glass of wine I am used to taste the wine before being served especially if I order an expensive wine ( St Emilion at >20 pounds a glass)
The food was good, tmussles were perfecet but the rib eye was larger than tender.
Consistently good food. I love eating in Pichets.
Excellent food. Had the pre theatre set menu. Great value. A real treat!
Excellent meal enjoyed from across the menu by us all.
I’ve been here a few times, outstanding food, service and atmosphere every time we visit. Excellent for all occasions!
The last time we visited was Mother’s Day and they had a free glass of Prosecco for every mam, can’t thank you enough for the brownie points earned that evening!
lovely feel to this restaurant, and the wait team were very friendly & professional and the food was fantastic but it took too long to be served.
Arrived at 6pm and chose a main course from the pre theatre menu (which was offered to us, we didn't ask for it) as we were heading to a gig afterwards. At 6 50pm had to ask if our main course would be served soon, the manager was a little abrupt & told us it was next table up but that he couldn't speed the kitchen up either and had we specifically told our waiter on arrival we were in a hurry. Surely the idea of a pre theatre menu which is time specific is because people are watching the time.
That said the food was beautiful.
Had a wonderful mother’s day experience with my 3 daughters. Felt very special, the service was excellent. All of us enjoyed our food, small menu but each dish a winner. More expensive than I anticipated but that was down to ordering a additional items not on the set lunch menu. Well worth it for the experience.... I will return!
Excellent service, with great food recommendations. Delicious food.
Knowledgeable staff and the food was excellent.
Very loud . Menu very limited. Food was ok nothing great. 12.5% added to our bill we were a table of 5 this normally applies to groups of 6 or more in other restaurants
Booked meal for my wife and niece. Was received warmly and offered splendid advice on menu choice. Great service and excellent wine list.
A must fo future visits to Dublin
I brought international guests to Le Pichet for dinner, and was very proud of this wonderful restaurant. The food was delightful, as was the service and the ambience. We will look forward to returning.
Our favorite meal in Dublin. My son and I had steak and my wife had gnocchi with mushrooms and cauliflower. Service was great. Very comfortable decor.
Another outstanding lunch at Pichet.
Can't fault the food, service, atmosphere or value for money.
However, I would recommend that Pichet takes a look at the menu of other, similarly priced, restaurants - they will notice that everyone is offering practically the same menu. It would be nice to see a twist or some other variety offered.
Great staff Italian and Romanian
The atmosphere is rather hectic, not what you would call relaxing. We were asked to vacate the table just coming up to ten minutes before the two hour allotted slot and presented with the bill without asking for it. I know this is common practice but what an annoying thing that has become so common in restaurants.
Wonderful night. The food, ambience and service was excellent. Our server Colm was very attentive, friendly but unobtrusive. Most enjoyable and would highly recommend the whole experience. A great night
A rich and wonderful combination of excellent friendly service, good quality food and healthy portions, great ambience delivering a near perfect evening for us (couple looking for casual but special eating out experience). Have eaten at Pichet a number of times before and each time I return the experience reminds me why I come back each time. Highly recommend.
Went for cocktails and an appetizer. The staff was wonderful and the ambience was causal and trendy. Would definitely go back!!!
We had a lovely lunch and everything was very nice, however we had a voucher that was a gift to us. We tried to pay and they said that they could no longer take this voucher as they had changed their machines and the new machine was not reading our gift card. We were supposed to be contacted by someone regarding this and we are still waiting for that follow up call. It took the shine off what would have been a lovely afternoon.
We had dinner in Pichet the previous weekend and found it excellent so I felt very sure about booking it for lunch yesterday as we were hosting an American friend . But, while the service was very good we were all disappointed with the main course, especially. The guinea fowl was overpowered by the almost indigestable barley and my husband was not impressed with the organic salmon and felt it was overcooked . Soup and terrine were very good but I felt the sauce was too sharp with the mussels. Ils Flottante was excellent. While we chose the cheapest white wine, we expect a reasonable taste but this fell far short.
I was particularly disappointed because I had insisted on going to Pichet with my previous experiences . the other times had been for dinner but I did not expect such a deviation on standard for lunch .
Great food and drinks - delicious mussels and tartare! Loved it
Outstanding cuisine with great company. Staff were friendly.
Excellent Food, Attentive Service, Lovely atmosphere
I have been to Pichet many times over the years and it never fails to surprise me with consistently excellent food.
