They pushed the specials and when we ordered them they were out.
Our first round of drinks came after our first course. Our second round never came at all.
The mussels were really good. The terrine was greasy and tasteless. Most was left on the plate.
We didn’t expect much meat on the suckling pig and was surprised there was even less than expected. It also was the only warm thing on the plate. The vege was cold.
The halibut was bland and not hot, the vege was room temperature. Awful soggy oily cold baked vege and fish that didn’t deserve to die and end up on a plate like that.
The sides (completely unnecessary but heavily pushed) were also cooked many hours earlier and were barely warm and soggy... inedible.
We got our bill (€104) after several requests and left to have dessert elsewhere.
Service was hit and miss. The girl greeting us on arrival was great but our table waiter had attitude and was clearly angry about something... slapping our food on the wobbly table and huffing about between tables.
Extremely disappointed that they even open and serve this poor quality food on a slow nights (we were there on a Monday.) They should protect their reputation by never deliberately staffing the kitchen with the B team on slow nights.
We definitely won’t be back.
I was dining out with my travel companion who is also female as we were going to attend a business conference later in the week.
We ordered a bottle of wine from their list, which was very typical -- cheap inexpensive wine ($6 a bottle) sold at very high prices $47 per bottle. The waiter tried to serve our wine as our drinks were arriving and seemed upset that we preferred to wait. We ordered a white wine which was served warm. Cocktails were mediocre at best. We ordered Absinthe because they said they specialized in Absinthe, but the drink was served very warm but it did have a nice presentation.
Food was mediocre and expensive. I ordered fish, which was overcooked. The restaurant was extremely noisy and it was full, but the place was cozy.
Staff was frazzled even though it was a small restaurant and more than enough wait staff was available they were just very unorganized. We were two people and we had 3 different waiters servicing (constantly interrupting) our table, while another table had a party of six and there was only one waiter. The entire meal was rushed and the waiters physically moved our small table twice because they said they needed to make room for other people.
We relocated to the bar with our drinks so that we could finish them after our small table was physically moved for the second time. We would of have liked to of ordered a dessert or maybe an after dinner liquor at the bar. But we were completely ignored and received no service while in the bar which was understaffed with only one person who seemed unaware or confused as to why he was there.
What I did like about the restaurant. It was centrally located and within walking distance from the hotel. It was cozy but had a funky elegant vibe and dinner reservations were easy to make through Open Table. I was excited and looked forward to going.
My husband and I were in Pichet on Saturday evening. Every member of staff we interacted with was friendly and professional. The atmosphere in the restaurant was welcoming and relaxed. Our table was looking into the kitchen so we could see everything going on. The food was fantastic. Mackerel and crab to start, fondant for dessert, but the star was the cote de boeuf. Mouth wateringly delicious. Recommended it to friends who went the next day and were equally impressed. We will definitely be back.
My boyfriend and I came on Friday evening on a date. From the beginning, the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Our waiter was nothing short of fantastic and really took an interest in us, ensuring we understood the menu and he recommended a beautiful wine with our steak. I can't remember his name unfortunately but we was on the floor on the evening of the 13/04/2018. Food and cocktails were fantastic (beautiful presentation) and ambience was great but the service was the cherry on top for us! As a past waitress myself I love being served by people with a smile! A gorgeous spot for an occasion. Thank you!
Pichet offers fine food in a nice ambiance. The staff are pleasant and efficient. Overall outs a great dining experience at ok prices.
This is one of our top places to go in Dublin and it never lets us down. I’m always recommending it.
Food and service excellent. Just a little too tightly packed and noisy. Seem to remember much better ambience and calmer feel in past. Think the dining area has been remodeled/opened up since I first visited.
Very good value. Friendly. Good service. Nicely served.
We went to Pichet on Saturday for the early bird. The food was delicious, great atmosphere and service. I will definitely go back.
Amazingly awesome. Every course
Excellent and well-presented food with attention to compatible flavors. Wines were served at correct temperatures and my Armagnac was warmed over a glass of hot water. Good selection of wines by the glass, including an excellent Meursault. Prices are reasonable for this Michelin-starred restaurant.
Fabulous food at reasonable prices not to be missed . Will be back
Great Food, Great Service and very reasonable early bird menu
Great experience in pichet, warm atmosphere, great food and fantastic service. There was an issue with one of our dishes and it was dealt with superbly. Great night
All very nice. Slightly disappointed with cheese selection all rather bland
Great Food, lively place, somewhat unenthusiastic waiter but FOH girl excellent
We went for an early dinner date and the ambiance was lovely. The restaurant was almost full but didn't feel crowded. The wait staff were a little slow in bringing us our drinks but that was the only fault. Our food was well presented and gorgeous. We didn't feel rushed or under pressure to leave at a particular time.
Easter Sunday lunch with hubby. Extremely good value of Euro 28 for three courses.
We dined on the pre-theatre menu, which was fantastic value and had a great choice too. Would highly recommend.
Professional & friendly staff enhanced our visit. Food delicious as always.
Good service and great food as always. There wasn't any problems from start to finish. Can't fault it.
Group of 5 with high standards of cuisine and wine, and the meal was very nice.
the service was good
the bar tender out front from Westport was informative, entertaining and willing to engage
location is good
Toilet cleanliness and décor is excellent and speaks volumes about any establishment
Excellent service and knowledge of menu
Had a great time
Very delicious menu for 2 persons' dinner and friendly service. Waiting in drink bar was very nice with professional bartender and drinks. Prices corresponded to the quality and taste of dinner and wine.
It was a thoroughly adequate dining experience.
always delivers - great service, quality yet reasonably priced menus and good atmosphere
Food was mixed. Short rib of beef lovely. Sides good. Friend had flat iron steak, it was only average. Bernaise lacked acidity and wasn't great. Service very good. Wine overpriced. Overall enjoyable but will prob somewhere else for next catch up
Food amazing had muscles followed by boar for mains licking the plate, cocktails very tasty
Absolutely a brilliant night...great food, wine, and service! Highly recommend for any occasion....
Really enjoyed our food, always consistently excellent. Lovely atmosphere and service. It's definitely a favourite!
Lunch time three course set menu, some sides, coffee and carafe of wine at around EUR90 offered fabulous quality and value. Service was unobtrusive, polite and efficient. Definitely worthy of an evening return visit to experience the à la carte menu.
Pichet is truly one of the best dining experiences in all of Dublin. The food is truly in a league of its own, truly gourmet in every way yet generous portions. My cocktail was also outstanding and was served with edible flowers and artful presentation. Attentive service and a cozy yet trendy atmosphere rounded out our amazing dining experience. Five stars all around!
Love Pichet, we come when its someone's birthday or a special event, lovely time for mothers day
It wasy first time to Pichet and I was not disappointed. What a lovely restaurant! I brought my mother there for Mother's Day. We were welcomed with champagne and smiling faces. We had the set menu which was delicious and excellent value. Mum was delighted also. Would definitely visit again.
This is our third visit to this gem of a restaurant, the cocktail bar is a sight to behold the staff are wizards at making you a delicious cocktails to suit your tastes.
The food as per usual is a delight, anyone with a palate for great food would welcome its menu. Fantastic wine list to accompany the excellent plates on offer.
Can’t state enough how wonderful this place is, from its cosy ambience where you can sit and chat without any deafening sounds of music blaring out to ruin any conversation.
The staff are welcoming and friendly which just adds to the experience of dining here.
Looking forward till the next time we’re in the city to sample this restaurants experience.
Absolutely awesome food, fabulous service
A great evening with excellent food and wine. Attentive but not intrusive staff.
Ian and Yonas are a class act with great recommendations from the wine list and seriously good cocktails.
Really lovely restaurant. Great food. Loved the pre theatre menu. Good value.
Excellent experience and I will return as one of my favourite places to go now
