   We were sat at the very last table beside the toilets which isn't a very nice table, quite dark and I'm not sure if the staff just kept forgetting about us because they weren't walking past us but service wasn't great. Food was good and came quick enough but everything else took ages, even a glass of water. They really need to assess the service, for such a small place it shouldn't be so bad. Even something simple like our table was only set for 2 but had been booked for 4 but we had to ask for extra chopsticks and napkins etc which I don't think we should have had to when the table was booked for 4.

   We enjoyed our meal. Lovely, freshly cooked food. Seating not that comfortable, don’t go expecting to relax for a long time. We were given a ninety minute slot which I don’t think was stipulated when I booked. Serving staff were nice. Cocktails were good. Food comes when it is ready which I think is odd when you’re having starters and mains.

   The girl who welcomed us in (dark hair, black top & headband) looked like she would rather be literally anywhere else. The girls who served us though were so lovely! Disappointed in the cocktails, but the food was absolutely amazing!!! I’d probably get a takeaway in future, rather than coming to dine in though if I’m honest.

   Been a few times to Pickled Ginger and used to be a favourite for pre concert meal. This time not so good . The food was tasty but both my partner and I said the chicken was over cooked and chewy. they brought my partners starter and main meal together. It must have been at least a 10 min wait till they brought mine. We both munched on his starter if king prawn tempura. Decent size portion.,My partners main course was by then cold. The cocktail was lovely but pricey considering half of it was crushed ice.. think we will have a change of restaurant next time..

    The staff here are incredible - we had a lovely experience with them and they were very attentive. The food arrived quickly however it wasn't great. The seaweed salad was lovely, the beef starter wasn't, the meat was cut thick and very slimy. We ordered veg tempura and besides the two pieces of asparagus, it was all potato and starchy veg which was a disappointment. Also the gyza was deep fried - it was all just quite heavy and unhealthy.

    Cute, quant, and overall a lovely experience. The food was 10/10 and despite a small serving error that was quickly sorted, there was 0 faults. Would not only recommend, but I look forward to returning soon.

    We made a reservation at this restaurant for Friday 3 Feb. On arrival we ordered wine and studied the menu. When the waitress returned we asked for a beef starter, a yaki soba beef and yum yum. Chicken. We were told that there were no beef dishes, no soba noodles and no yum yum chicken. This left a restricted menu. It is frustrating that we weren't told this when ordering wine and given the menus. If told we would have left the restaurant and gone elsewhere. Not a good experience and as a result we would not recommend this restaurant.

    I'd been to the restaurant before and really loved it, so booked again to celebrate a birthday in the family. Family were blown away by the food, praised every dish that arrived and said everything was fantastic. Portion sizes were very good so we ended up leaving with loads to take home. Was disappointing that there wasn't a lot of salmon due to shortages but understanding given it was a Sunday evening and the other dishes more than made up for it. Service was good although a little slow, again we were happy to wait. Cocktails were lovely too. Will definitely be back in the near future!

    Service was outstanding. Very friendly and professional and helped with all our questions about the dishes. The food was beautiful, big portions and we took home what we didn’t finish for later. Would 100% recommend this restaurant

    While the food was very good - their card machine was down so it was cash only which was an unexpected - unwelcome hassle. I also felt the service was too hands off, I felt I was often trying to get a server's attention, with limited success - given the size of the venue I though this could be a lot better.

    Service was a little slow and had to be prompted more than once and as a result we went over our time slot to return the table. When it arrived though, food and drink were excellent and costs were reasonable.

    After being before when all of our dishes were packed with flavour it was somewhat disappointing as there was no flavour or in our chicken dishes. The salad at the side of the plate had no dressing and wasn't fresh. A bit more effort with presentation and flavour I recommend.
