Piglet Wine Bar
No mention in glamorous guides but the wine is bloody good and the food seasonal and as good as the wine!
If you cannot find the time slot that you are looking for, please give us a call and we will try to accommodate the best we can.
Please note that during the week-ends bookings of up to 3 guests may be seated at the bar as our upstairs dining room is filling up very quickly.
Beautiful food and wine. Cosy, welcoming place and service. They went the extra mile by realising we are sharing every plate although we didn't say. Plates were served accordingly and in perfect order to build our palate. They serve Tokaji wine which is a rare plus! Thank you, we will be back! Best Regards, Annamaria
Cheese board and wine was very good, piri piri prawns were a massive letdown, only got two prawns and it wasn’t good value at €14.50, wine was very good.
We had a very pleasant experience having a meal at Piglet. Although we thought we had booked a table we were asked to sit at the bar. At first, we were disappointed because we were near the door and it was chilly but the staff were very helpful and moved us to the other side to sit at the bar. Although we had hoped for a table upstairs and a table did not become free, we were very happy because the staff were so nice and accommodating, the food was delicious and actually we enjoyed the informality of the bar and upstairs sounded more noisy. The kitchen is visible from the bar and is very clean and the staff are working really hard all the time. We had mussels and gnocci and both were delicious and the (house) wine was good quality. We will go back.
Fabulous restaurant in Cow's Lane. You absolutely have to try the prawns pil pil. All the food is delicious, the staff are really friendly and we had a fantastic evening sitting outside.
Been to Piglet a couple of times and it''s already a favorite! Incredible food but with a casual atmosphere and their Cote de Boeuf is amazing, perfect date night special!
my main quibble would be the change of sittings at 8pm. we arrived along with a hoard of other diners at the same time. it's not pleasant when the entire restaurant sittings change at exactly the same time- the staff are stressed and hence the diners. could you not stagger the sittings??
the food was good but a tad overpriced for what was fairly basic food. While we enjoyed what we had chosen, the couple at the table next to us clearly didn't'...
Incredible wine list and food to match (meat/cheese board, scallops and prawns pil pil with an amazing sauce). Service was excellent and just the right amount of attention at right time to enjoy the night. Highly recommended...
Great food prepared beautifully. Lovely wine selection. Will definitely be back.
Delicious, tasty food full of flavour. Definitely coming back!
Food was superb, everything we had was so tasty. Scallops and prawns for starters, Cote de bouef , venison and pasta for mains, plates were cleaned(as much as possible, code de bouef has a lot of tasty beef). Wine we had was perfect also. Good atmosphere and service also
My absolute favourite restaurant in Dublin. Everything about it is amazing.
Another absolutely lovely evening at Piglet, one of our very favourite spots in Dublin. Always so well-looked after by the wonderful staff who go out of their way to ensure that every need is met (for instance, asking if we would like to be moved to a more comfortable table when it became available). We went for the cote de boeuf - a really delicious meal for two - after the gorgeous onion soup. No compromising on flavour here. We enjoyed that with an excellent wine - Languedoc-Roussillon Red Minervois 2018 - from their diverse list. Cannot recommend Piglet highly enough!
Fabulous as always.
Unremarkable food. Remarkably bad service! Was over charged and waiter refused to alter bill. Bizarre!
Staff was not willing to answer questions related to the menu. Otherwise all good.
Fab food and staff very friendly. Would definitely come back again
Good wine selection cosy atmosphere and worth popping in if you are up that end of the city centre. I did not have any main courses, just a few starters which were fine. Really good service from the staff who were attentive without being overbearing.
Our table which was booked for 9.30 was not ready when we arrived . It ended up being ready a little before 10pm . They apologized etc.. but I think they could have offered us a glass of wine while we waited out of courtesy.. great place but need more decor upstairs- walls very plain ... some French cafe style music would be good..
Fabulous night! Food is phenomenal and staff extremely friendly! I’ll defo be back...
Orrechiette with Pork Ragù didn’t seem completely fresh, and the croquetas were a little too rich - too many ingredients. Overall a little more shabby interior than the reviews highlight, with Wine boxes all over the stairs. nice service but overall not great value.
Although it was inexplicably quiet on a Friday afternoon in mid November, my family had a lovely lunch in Piglet. The food is mostly classics and good ideas, simply executed. The wines are awesome, by the glass choices for everything from the most traditional to the most adventurous tastes. Service was cheery, attentive and the right balance between friendly and professional.
The food and wine selection are excellent. Great spot for a date or a dinner with friends.
Terrible cheeses and overpriced wine with limited selection by the glass. Tourist trap.
Brilliant little wine bar on the quieter edge of temple bar with ample seating. Great menu designed for sharing, really good seafood.
Fabulous food. Lovely wine. Great value too. Highly recommended.
Food was Fantastic. Service was above average and were knowledgeable of menu and recommend a good wine to accompany the meal.
All in all 5 out of 5.
The food was very good and the wine pairings were nice. Unfortunately, after making my reservation, the restaurant called to let me know that I would need to sit at the bar or outside on a cold night (there were heaters but it wasn't enclosed) because they needed to accommodate a large party. After that, I would have expected them to be gracious to us but that was not the case.
piglet wine bar is always a go to for me. You're guarenteed to get good food, wine, and service and it is in a nice part of Temple Bar. Would highly recommend for a date night or any visitors coming to Dublin.
Menu was varied but unsatisfying to both meat eaters and vegetarians. Portions were tiny for the price charged and the wine starts at $28 a bottle and ramps up quickly from there. Very disappointing .
Great food, spectacular wine list, charming service.
Excellent food and excellent wines! I especially enjoyed the smoked seafood board.
Love piglet. Great food and an extensive selection of wine , service is always friendly
Love this place
Have eaten there many times and it is always very good
Probably 4.5 stars, food is great and the wine is excellent. The wine list has limited options by the bottle under €33 something to be mindful off.
We went here with friends our first night in Dublin. The service was great and the food was reasonably good. The pasta dishes were a bit bland but the deviled egg special and the small plates were great. It’s a small space but with a great wine list and our waiter was very helpful with picking a wine and letting us try it before deciding. I would definitely try again.
Lovely food and wine
Lovely food, outdoor area lovely. Inside is a little bit stuffy is the only downside
This was my 2nd time at Piglet Wine Bar, delicious pasta and delicious wine, their selection of wines is very impressive but have something to suit every pocket. Food is tasty, service is swift and friendly
