The food was ok- nothing spectacular, but decent. I had the pork chop and my husband had the vegetarian pasta. The pasta had a strange mix of mostly-raw vegetables (carrots, zucchini, and peppers?) which wasn't super appealing. My pork chop was pretty good- I liked the sauce a lot. We had the charcuterie board as an appetizer, which said on the menu it came with a variety of pickles/pickled vegetables, but it did not- it has some fruit, and a single small piece of crostini/bread. The drinks were good, and the service was good, though. Everyone was very nice!

We ate there shortly after it opened and enjoyed the entire experience. This time, the food was lousy. The same charcuterie board we had the first time was about half the size and it didn’t include the 10” hot pretzel that was the best part of it. When I asked for it, they brought it on a depends plate and charged us extra. It was still on the “open table” menu as part of the charcuterie board. The chicken was too spicy even though they pit the chilis on the side. Had to order and pay extra for rice. Entres usually have a protein as the main part with some carbs and veggies. This was just a plate of chicken on a tiny bit of overcooked spinach. We are kama’aina but paid crazy tourist prices. The only thing good was the server, Tracy, who was wonderful. Not going back ever again.

Aloha Amber, Mahalo for returning to PIKO and for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We are especially disappointed to hear that this visit was so different from the experience you enjoyed previously. We sincerely apologize for the inconsistencies you encountered between the current offering and the menu information you viewed prior to dining with us. Our published menu descriptions should accurately reflect what guests receive, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. While the culinary experience clearly missed the mark, we are very pleased to hear that Tracy provided wonderful service. Thank you again for your candid feedback. We regret that we did not deliver the consistency, quality, and value that brought you back to PIKO in the first place.

Waitress was lovely, but appetizers were left on the table throughout the entire meal, even after dessert and when we signed our check. I don’t think there were bus boys working as it looked like many of the tables were left uncleared The view was spectacular and it was really fun. Food was great also.

PIKO is a bar / restaurant in the Outrigger resort in KONA HI. We were not staying on property, so when we arrived we used valet. Turns out it’s free, so we made sure to tip when we picked up our car. The place itself is open air and not tightly packed. Our server Josh was top notch. Very attentive and helpful especially in regards to my allergies. Our dinner came out in a reasonable time frame, and the food was very good. Later we ordered dessert, ice cream and cookie. It took longer than we thought necessary to arrive, but it was delicious.

Thank you again for dining with us and for recognizing Josh’s outstanding service. We look forward to welcoming you back to PIKO. Mahalo

We were told the this was a good place to eat, but that did not prove to be true. We made a reservation for dinner. We were seated on time, but had to wait several minutes to order, then it took fully 45 minutes for our food to be delivered. It was not fully hot when it was delivered. It was nearly or passed closing, so we ate, paid, and left.
    PikoResponded on 18 July 2026
Aloha Michael, Mahalo for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize that your dinner experience did not meet your expectations. We are pleased that you were seated on time, but we regret the delays that followed and are disappointed to hear your food was not served at the proper temperature, especially after such a lengthy wait. 8:30 reservation, food did not come out until 9:20 and seating was at about half capacity. Was just an overpriced cheeseburger, that seemed cooked perfectly but was dense and dry....Mai Tai I ordered was not good and diet coke tasted weird. Resort is beautiful, food has something to be desired.
