Service and food was good, a bit expensive for brunch. There a lot of other places around clontarf that would not be as expensive for what we had to eat.

Food was ok, fairly overpriced for Avacado toast with bacon, two rubbery poached eggs and a coffee (€25), it came out quick, within 5-10 mins of ordering. But then that was it for staff interaction for us (to give benefit of the doubt they were possibly understaffed when we went). We were left waiting to order, never checked in on after getting our food, had to ask if we could pay twice, then eventually just went in to pay. We were seated outside and the queue of people just kept coming in and queuing against the side watching to see who's nearly finished in hopes of getting a table. Makes slightly uncomfortable, pressured atmosphere it's not a big enough area to have people lining the walls.

Completely different experience than the one on howth when we booked afternoon tea there last year, there were flies all over uncovered pastries and they didn't have the booking..however glad I came back to your clontarf cafe. What a brilliant more pleasant experience, The decor was very querky with egg chairs hanging from the ceiling, floating tables suspended by rope, spacious outdoor seating and a very airy feel inside, everything on the afternoon tea was so delicious, all coffees teas and a glass of prosecco are included so even though it is expensive you feel you're getting value for money. The top plate contained amazing cakes, no chocolate for me as I'm gluten intolerant. Superfood smoothie shots which were amazing. The substitute cakes were just as good. The sandwiches couldn't be any more different from the conventional afternoon teas we've had in the past. The Rueben was amazing, the Italian sambo with mozzarella, tomato and basil mayo was very good even on a gluten free bread, On the bottom there was a some assortments to loaded toast, like the smashed avocado and Nut butter with banana..I didn't taste much banana though, Only criticism I have is the gluten free food came alongside the normal food on the rack, so if you're coeliac I would be cautious. I mentioned it to one of the lovely wait staff who explained they wouldn't be able to guarantee zero cross contamination as the kitchens were too small and wouldn't have a separate area to prep gluten free food. I was good they knew about cross contamination... Also they don't seem to answer a phone, email or Facebook message if you need to contact them..all things considered I would definitely go back but not with the coeliac mother-in-law Thanks for everything

I came to Pog on my birthday for brunch but it felt like the staff couldn’t keep on top of the amount of tables the restaurant has. I ordered the breakfast brioche but was given avocado on toast which I ate as we were with children so I didn’t have time to ask for what I’d actually ordered. The sourdough toast was burnt and the avocado was a pre made guacamole which had really hard avocado in. It was a really disappointing brunch all in all. The service isn’t great as we kept having to ask for drinks and the table was never cleared or really attentive for. It’s a shame as the location is amazing and the place looks gorgeous but the food and service isn’t great.

Pleasant casual dining. Indoor and outdoor areas. Good breakfast, brunch and lunch menu. I had smashed avocado, bacon and cherry tomatoes on bread. Fresh and tasty. Fresh orange juice. Good coffee. Views of Dublin Bay. Close to beach for walks. I’ll be returning.

Stopped here for some food with my Mum and little brother after a walk around Dollymount strand. We sat in the covered outdoor seating area which was beautiful. All the staff were so kind and helpful. The food arrived quickly and was delicious! 10/10 would recommend!

Never let’s us down. Lovely with kids and food is fresh and tasty. Accommodates all special requests. Staff recruitment and/or training must be very thoughtful, they’re so helpful and enthusiastic. No stress during a Pog meal.

I love POG in Clontarf but.last week the pancakes arrived cold and soggy. Also asked for more coffee and never got it. I don't think the waitress wanted to be at work that day. Not impressed, usually much better service than that for the prices charged.

Our first experience , Good choice of menu. Service was good Food was well presented Thought having to book a table at 11-30am on a midweek morning was unnecessary . Very very few diners in the restaurant. Overall I would be happy to recommend

Love this place . It was my first time to use for a business meeting stayed inside on a really hot day. It worked out perfect. Food was amazing . Also my first time to try the Thai Chicken Salad.

Really lovely visit to Pog. We sat in the outside covered area and was really airy and comfortable on the hot day. Food and drinks were delicious and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Will be making a return visit soon 🙂

Had a lovely brunch in Pog Clontarf on Sunday. It was a beautiful day and we sat in the section closest to the seafront. It was was a lovely area to sit in watching everything going on outside. We were a party of 4 and we all had different things for brunch.. we all really enjoyed what we ordered. The service was great . Tereza and her staff are running a great show there .

Unfortunately we didn't receive our side order with our meal. We reminded the waitress about halfway through our meal who said she would bring it immediately. By the time we finished eating we still hadn't received it.

This looks s our third visit to pog . They changed the menu, only poached eggs …. Streaky bacon . I feel they are totally catering to the hipster crowd very disappointing . We were introducing our friends to the restaurant because we liked it so much.. I hope they change back change is awesome but not everything at once. So sorry to have to write this review. Location is beautiful. Staff are awesome.
